Automates security workflows and improves visibility across hybrid environments
What is our primary use case?
I use Wiz to secure code to cloud posture. We are using Wiz and also positioning Wiz to my customers, especially to protect their code environment, runtime environment like DevOps environment, and other code-related vulnerabilities in an automated way. Automating security processes is particularly helpful. We also provide CSPM and CNAPP ability to the customers.
I have created custom dashboards with Wiz for code-to-cloud scenarios, different scenarios, and for our whole infrastructure which is monitored through Wiz.
Wiz is very helpful to achieve a zero critical scenario. Wherever possible, it gives good insights and there is an ability to automate with AI scenarios. Their powerful AI engines also recommend best solutions to apply to identified vulnerabilities and identified gaps related to coding scenarios especially. It also suggests the best way to patch vulnerabilities and other related issues. This is really helpful.
What is most valuable?
Wiz is very effective and very advanced compared to other solutions. It is helpful to use and user-friendly from the customer's view. It is easy to use, easy to handle, and easy to customize for our scenarios especially.
Pricing in comparison to other solutions is good, but a little bit of discounting and flexibility if Wiz can offer to customers would be helpful. Training, vouchers, and certifications would help position this solution in the market. If Wiz integrates their certifications free with their solution positioning in the market for customers especially, it would be helpful. In comparison to the Microsoft product, it is not as costly, but for other products in comparison to other available players, it is a little bit on the high side.
What needs improvement?
Wiz may try to ease the connector positions. When integrating multiple clouds like hybrid cloud with Wiz, these processes need to be more user-friendly because more scripting is required in this scenario. Without a coder or without a deep administrator managing things, it is not possible to integrate clouds with Wiz dashboards. Some easy steps are required so that users who are not highly technical can do these things.

I have been using Wiz in my career for approximately one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have not observed stability issues in my scenario, and my customers also have not reported any major crises.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Wiz is very much scalable. It totally depends on the workloads which are working on cloud scenarios, either GCP or Azure or any cloud scenario. It totally depends on your workloads. In cloud scenarios, workloads are always scalable, so Wiz is also scalable and adopts these things easily. There is no challenge.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used Microsoft CNAPP and CSPM functionality very frequently, and also used Palo Alto Prisma CNAPP and CWP functionality. I can compare them with these two OEMs.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Wiz is OEM agnostic. It is able to integrate any cloud, either GCP, Azure, or AWS. Similarly, like Palo Alto, Wiz is OEM agnostic. Microsoft is more specific to Azure where it is easy to integrate with Azure and it is a native platform. For other platforms, there may be some complications, like AWS with other GCP and other suites like Oracle OCI cloud. However, Wiz is OEM agnostic, so it is helpful to integrate and manage hybrid cloud scenarios efficiently.

What other advice do I have?
Maintenance is required from time to time, as patching is required. If there are any latest updates available, then we need to just patch those updates. Integrations need to be monitored to ensure there are no gaps in the integration part. If we monitor multiple hybrid clouds, we need to be there and monitor these things also.
We deployed Wiz, but not for our internal use. We are just demoing and practicing scenarios.

In our organization, multiple teams use Wiz daily, including Security, DevOps, IT, and Compliance. This cross-team adoption has greatly improved collaboration and consistency in managing cloud security and compliance posture.
Another strong point is the seamless integration capabilities — connecting Wiz with other tools enhances its value and automates parts of the workflow. Finally, it’s worth highlighting that new features are frequently released, continuously improving the platform and keeping it aligned with the latest security needs.
The support team is very competent and quick to respond to questions.
Overall, Wiz stands out for its simplicity, effectiveness, and continuous innovation.

One aspect that could be improved is the initial learning experience. Since the platform offers a wide range of features and insights, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. For users who are not deeply specialized in cloud environments, it may take some time to become fully comfortable and to grasp the full value Wiz provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz helps us gain complete visibility and control over our cloud environments, identifying misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks across multiple platforms in a single view. It significantly reduces the time needed to detect and prioritize issues by correlating them with context — such as exposure, permissions, and data sensitivity.
This has allowed our Security, DevOps, IT, and Compliance teams to collaborate more effectively, focus on what really matters, and take action faster. Overall, Wiz has improved our risk management, compliance posture, and operational efficiency across the organization.

What do you like best about the product?
The agent-less architecture allowed us to get started in just a few hours rather than weeks. There were no complicated deployments or issues with agent sprawl—simply connect your cloud accounts and begin scanning. What truly sets the platform apart is the developer experience. The platform communicates in a way that makes sense to us, providing clear, actionable findings along with meaningful context about why an issue is important and how to address it. The graph-based method for visualizing attack paths is especially impressive. Rather than being overwhelmed by thousands of unrelated vulnerabilities, we can now identify which ones are truly significant based on actual exposure risk.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there isn't much to criticize. While the pricing may be high for smaller organizations, the extensive coverage and the amount of time saved make the return on investment worthwhile. At first, the number of alerts can feel overwhelming until you adjust the policies to fit your environment, but this is fairly typical for most security tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With shift-left security, our developers are able to identify issues much earlier in the pipeline, which helps reduce incidents in production. Compliance has also become more manageable, as automated compliance mapping now saves us weeks of work during audit season. Additionally, our mean time to resolution has improved significantly, since clear remediation guidance allows our team to address vulnerabilities three times faster than before.

Wiz has become an essential part of our cloud security operations at BMLL. The platform provides exceptional visibility across our cloud environments, enabling continuous monitoring and proactive risk management. What do you like best about the product?
The feature I find most helpful in Wiz is its prioritization capabilities. Additionally, having reliable information about the status of specific resources—such as whether they are publicly exposed or internal—is extremely valuable to us. The platform itself is highly intuitive and easy to use, even for those without a technical background. Its AI capabilities are also useful for finding answers to questions that may not be addressed directly on the dashboard. Integration is straightforward and quick; you can have it up and running within a few hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing we do not like about Wiz is the relatively constant updating of the findings risk rating. You go to bed with zero criticals and you wake up in the morning with 10 because of a change in the system

Wiz is helping us address several significant challenges. First, it provides much-needed visibility across all our cloud resources, which was previously lacking. It also enhances our ability to manage vulnerabilities, offering better insight than the traditional agent-based methods. Additionally, Wiz assists in prioritizing vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses by supplying more comprehensive information, making it easier to focus on the most critical issues. The platform also helps us connect vulnerabilities and weaknesses to specific identities, giving us a clearer understanding of potential risks. Furthermore, it fills gaps in our knowledge about sensitive data and improves our visibility into containers, areas where we previously had limited insight.

It's a feature that helps make it easier for our developers or tech teams to integrate security into our code or infrastructure.

A lot of menu for beginners. But a gameday or support for beginners helps address this issue.

A lot of secrets are remove and the rapid handling of new CVEs.

What do you like best about the product?
Wiz is a game changer for cutting through the noise when it comes to cloud security. Having used many similar tools in the past, within minutes we could tell that Wiz was different. Its easy to set up and use, and as you learn the platform you can leverage more advanced use-cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
We previously relied on security features baked into our overall systems monitoring and APM tooling, so it was nice to have everything in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amongst many other things, it helps us manage our cloud security posture in a logical and practical way.

What do you like best about the product?
It is comprehensive in what it covers. Its data model is excellent, allowing you to resolve issues quickly. It adds useful features at a healthy rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The expenses can add up quickly, which may force you to decide which data to leave out and which features to avoid turning on. Integration requires significant effort, and tuning the integration points to optimize value occurs over months.

Wiz addresses a variety of challenges for us by offering clear visibility into both existing and potential issues, preventing problems before they escalate or materialize. Its active detection and response features enable us to handle incidents efficiently. The platform also automates remediation, reducing the number of staff hours required to resolve issues. Additionally, its AI-enhanced inspection capabilities allow us to quickly find answers about our environments.
