What do you like best about the product?
I find IBM Verify CIAM useful for managing user authentication and access control across various tools. As a developer, I appreciate being able to centralize identity management effortlessly, including features like single sign-on and multi-factor authentication. I like how the authentication flow is easily adaptable based on user type and access needs. Multi-factor authentication is not only an extra security layer but is also consistent with security policies needed for certifications. The access policy setup is great, considering context like device and location, and it helps us trigger extra verification in high-risk situations. Overall, it offers a reliable and secure platform, which is critical for handling user access efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard was a bit tricky sometimes, and I needed a lot of help from others for the setup as I didn't have the time to implement it and fully understand it. If you are new to IAM systems, it can be more difficult. The settings are scattered across multiple sections, making navigation slow, and some flows are several menus deep. A better search could also be a plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Verify CIAM to manage user authentication and access control with centralized identity management, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication. It ensures smooth logins, easy adaptation of auth flows, consistent security policies, and reliable access policy setup for secure user access.
It was great. Has easy to understand the UI and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that IBM Verify CIAM offers strong authentication like MFA and adaptive access, ensuring security while still providing a smooth login experience for our customers. The MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second verification step, which reduces account takeovers, and I appreciate that the adaptive access feature checks the context like location, device, and IP address, allowing for a seamless login if everything seems normal. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and well guided.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin dashboard sometimes feels a bit heavy and not very intuitive. Settings are spread across multiple sections. Sometimes I have to click through several layers to find one configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The reduction of support tickets since users experience fewer login problems is a plus too.

It's just the initial setup and its complexity. A more visual dashboard would make it easier to set up and manage. Creating a step by step tutorial feature within can also be of great help.

The setup and configuration can be complex. The main challenge was configuring identity flows. Clearer step by step guidance would make the setup process easier. Better onboarding tutorials and creating a YouTube channel could also help both beginners and advanced users.

The platform manages the complicated consent management and privacy rules across the world to make sure that the customer information is treated in the most compliant way. This is the only feature that is important to the company that deals with sensitive credit or personal data.

The administration console is trapped in history. Setting up the policies is frequently accompanied by the canalization of the sluggish and counterintuitive interface that is not as fluid as modern competitors are.

It eliminates the liability to develop auth yourself. When you outsource the identity management to an established provider, you are doing away with the risk of amateur security weaknesses. It also enables the engineering team to be able to concentrate on the main product requirements as they sleep, knowing that the front door is locked. The rationale behind your use of this is that it is a regulated industry where perfection is required. It is the fortress that you require in the challenging field of identity management, yet it is not a developer experience that will amaze or inspire.

First, I really its 2 factor authentication because it provide strong security and gives a lot of confidence from a safety.
second, Its fraud detection features is very impressive as help identify fake and suspicious identities.
Third, it is cloud based software solution, which means it can be accessed remotely from anywhere.
The best thing for me is that this software is used by governments organization and banks, which is why i have a lot of trust in it.

The main drawback of this software is that it can be a bit complex and expensive for beginners and also setup and configuration is not easy to understand for beginners & initially take time to implementation also.
