Great for sales forecasting
What do you like best about the product?
Setting up was extremely straightforward, and anyone with a basic understanding of SQL can quickly and easily build accurate forecast models. There is no need for deep expertise in machine learning. The Pecan team proved to be an invaluable resource, consistently going above and beyond to assist us at every stage. They answered all our questions and, even when we requested features outside the current model's scope, they worked diligently to find solutions. Overall, I was able to build multiple models very quickly, and they fit our data exceptionally well.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my experience, the model feels a bit like a black box. However, the team collaborated with us to build a schematic that clarified how the model works and understand our data better.
The error messages are not very informative, so I frequently had to contact the Pecan team for assistance instead of being able to troubleshoot problems independently.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pecan assisted us in forecasting our demand based on our pricing and spending levels. Additionally, it enabled us to identify which parameters truly influenced our demand.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool handles complex modeling tasks quite efficiently, processing a wide variety of data fields and supporting an almost unlimited number of parameters. I found the accuracy to be impressive, even after just a few iterations. Running different scenarios and quickly iterating through various versions is straightforward. It's also very clear which parameters have a significant impact on forecasting accuracy and which are less critical, which is helpful when discussing results with stakeholders. The team has been exceptionally available at all hours and acted as true partners, not only guiding us in using the tool but also engaging thoughtfully with our business and specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still progress to be made when it comes to interpreting results for actions, such as understanding coefficients. We found that manipulating data within the tool using the AI agent was not any easier for us than simply handling it ourselves in SQL.

it helped us iterate quickly to find the parameters which were most important for us as well as validate scenario planning we were doing.

What do you like best about the product?
Pecan makes it very easy for anyone who knows SQL to be able to easily create and productionize predictive models that can drive positive ROI for their business. They also have a team that will help you to be successful in building useful models.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike about Pecan, but if I have to choose a few things it would be that it's a bit of a black box when it comes to exactly how it's creating the model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pecan has helped us to predict customer lifetime value so we can more quickly see the impact of different interventions. We also have models across a variety of different business use cases.

Pecan has been an incredibly helpful program for our business to get our Machine Learning programs built and implemented in a fast and simple manner. The support from the Pecan team has been stellar and they are always available to assist in the event of questions. Integrating with our various systems was a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s really easy to use and saves a lot of time by automating predictive models. The insights are clear and practical, even without a big data science team.

The setup can feel a bit tricky at first, and I wish there were more options for customizing models.

Pecan helps us predict customer behavior and demand without needing deep data science skills. It turns raw data into useful forecasts quickly, which helps us make better business decisions and plan ahead with more confidence.

What do you like best about the product?
Tremendously easy to use and very functional for what it is. It accelerates the development time of models from months to weeks. It also shows many useful items such as what components are effective in the model development.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation and data feeds take a little time to work through for recurring items. Once set up they are great, but initial discovery can be a little challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Peacan has identified a propensity to churn that has been tremendously impactful. It has developed a starting point we can capitalize from as we move forward.
An efficient tool for accelerating actionable insights
What do you like best about the product?
Pecan provides a very efficient solution for us to transition from raw data, to model, and to action. The team provides a very solid support throughout the model training process. The tool is easy to use. It accelerates the process for actionable insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now the model trained by Pecan are still for batch run only, no real time model run yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to stop the risky users from abusing our platform, and the model Pecan trained for us helped us develop a strategy against it.
Seamlessly designed predictive tool with powerful capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
What stands out to me is how simple the platform is to use end-to-end. Their support and enablement folks have been fantastic, super responsive, knowledgeable, and always focused on solving real business problems. It’s helped us move from experimenting to production much faster than I expected, with plenty of guardrails along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes miss having deeper control , for example, selecting specific models for different use cases or defining custom optimization metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving demand forecasting to properly catch change in demand and other unknown factors which we currently don't consider in our current model.
Robust and detailed
What do you like best about the product?
Output provided is very detailed. Helps reconfigure and edit as needed. The support provided by the team is wonderful. They are very prompt in helping.

Requires at least intermediate level understanding of SQL
