Xpeditor is a debugging tool used in Mainframe environment
What do you like best about the product?
Xpeditor is very user-friendly, and debugging massive Mainframe programs is very easy when we use Xpeditor.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing much to dislike Xpeditor as it makes very easy to debug the programs and find where we need to fix the issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using Xpeditor, we can find the mainframe program/logic flow by which we can decide how to the program is behaving to a specific input.
The benefit is we can keep the variables which we are interested in a find out what all values its holding. We can place multiple break points so that it is not necessary to walk through the program line by line.

What do you like best about the product?
i would say Xpediter is the best debugger. I mostly use iy to identify the flow of the program than doing the testing. It's having many options/features. i always recommend Xpediter to new joiners to find the issues and testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Screen size could be better to show the values

Soc7, data exception, exceeding array limit
Recommendations to others considering the product:
i would say Xpediter is the best debugger. I mostly use it to identify the flow of the program than doing the testing. It's having many options/features. i always recommend Xpediter to new joiners to find the issues, flow of the program and testing.

What do you like best about the product?
We can view the current values in memory. For example when i load a file i can see what is the policy number and what value it holds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less number of lines can be viewed in a single window when we use KEEP command.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have resolved many abends in Mainframe Assembler program using Xpediter. I have also analysed COBOL modules. It helped me to understand how an assembler program works.

There will be few pros and cons in any tool.

To solve/,rectify the bugs.
provides the debug capabilities similar to other many famous IDEs

the fact that I can easily debug my cobol code without traditional display and execute method.

Could get a fancy IDE with good GUI for even easy experience

debugging a complex and legacy system which otherwise would have be very difficult

like I said, capabilities to debug legacy application with easy is a great advantage
I have used Xpediter online and batch successfully at several companies including BBVA Compass Bank

It helped me debug programs more quickly, and was easy to use.

We had multiple platforms that our programs were running on, and had to load Xpediter to each one, which was a little time consuming.

Figuring out bad data and where in the program the abend was occurring.

Compare Xpediter with Intertest and see which is more suitable for your company.

Screen navigation is slow sometimes which consuming lot of time

the ease to use line by line debugging makes resolving abends pretty easy.

The only downside I faced was to toggle between the screens while using xpediter.

I used to debug my cobol code using online xpediter.
I have always used xPeditor to expedite my Cobol and CICS code.

Its awesome. I have always used xPeditor to expedite my Cobol and CICS code. Its easy to navigate within the codes, other modules and screens.

I dont see any dislikes for now as most of what i used in xpeditor is pretty much easy and never been uneasy,

I have used xpeditor to expedite my mainframe cobol and cics code to find code issues, understand program logics and flow etc.

Introducing the corpurate overview of Hiperstation, great migration with the COBOL system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mainframe developer functions are in a large range this is helpful but can confuse at the beginning, needs some time to introduce and learn.
