Great product, great CS/Support team
What do you like best about the product?
Mostly that it just works. There are times where there's an issue but even when that happens, the resolution is fast and effective from the merge team. It allows us to offer a critical service to our customers (used every single day by a significant number of customers) without having to build it ourselves. The administration UI is also easy enough for me to use when I need to even though I'm not technical at all. For our customers, it's even easier to integrate their HRIS to our product because the in-our-app UI is so straightforward. Finally, we had to quickly implement Merge due to needing to roll off another tool urgently and we were able to do so.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm the head of customer success, but from my perspective I have no constructive feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a non-HRIS HR software that depends on a reliable and up-to-date sync with our customers' HRIS tools. Merge provides that connection in a seamless, easy for our customers to set up way.
Removes the headache of integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The setup and go live time was one of the easiest that we've used. Takes the headache out of figuring out outdated docs from integration partners. Anytime I've needed customer support, the answers were given quick and precise. They take feedback well to implement features that help with quality of life. Now, since the setup is done, all we have to do is wait and enable any new integration partners to pop up and with a quick toggle is available to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some docs are out of date but they're working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving us from spending time filtering through other company's integration docs that are rarely up to date and clear.
Unified API- Makes fragmentation among ERP's manageable
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of integrating with multiple ERP tools through a single portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the ability to sync deleted entities from ERP's to your portal without purchasing the Delete data plan separately
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The excessively fragmented ERP tool space has too many variations to build a single connector for. Merge's unified API solves this very elegantly necessitating only integrating with one set of API's to achieve multi-ERP integrations
Simplification for difficult processes
What do you like best about the product?
Team is responsive and provides insights in advance to ensure you are able to align all stakeholders in advance of starting any project. The service they offer takes a lot of additional resource needs off our internal team, making the process scalable and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Took us a few tries to get alignment between Merge and our team but once we identified areas of growth within our partnership all aspects have been more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining the build out and implementation of ATS integrations for customers. Opposed to our team having to build out each integration on an ad hoc basis, Merge is able to provide the essential plumbing for our team to more with more speed and efficiency - reducing headaches across the board for all stakeholders.
Excellent unified API for accounting integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Provides abstraction from the fragmentation across multiple accounting vendors enabling you to integrate with one unified API which works across all the platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing. They have an AI powered website making searching for docs childs play. The only issue is they work the North American timezone which makes collaborating with the India team slightly difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fragmentation in API's of all accounting platforms requires extensive bespoke integration for our fintech product. merge gets rid of this by providing the unified API which means one integration works for several different platforms!

The quality of the product is exceptional

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some edge cases for which we need to use passthrough requests which we think should be part of the product. Hoping Merge gets to them soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge helps us easily integrate with hundreds of HRIS and ATS platforms out there. It's a huge relief for us since building coverage is very time consuming and we could get all the integrations up and running within a week with Merge's help.
One solution to rule them all
What do you like best about the product?
Merge is the most innovative API solutions provider out there. It's truly impressive how much they can help with scalability and efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Merge existed in every industry not just HRIS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge makes it so that businesses can sell more problems faster and better.
The market leader for integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Merge allows us to support the long tail of ATSs with a single unified API. It would take us much longer to build in house. They have great support, action feedback quickly, and we see them as true partners in supporting all the ATSs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Merge is clearly the leader in the category, so there's no other solution with as much support for vendor API functionality, but there can always be deeper support (like realtime updates for more fields, etc) for each individual API. This is constantly increasimg over time, so I have no doubt that we picked the right vendor for the long term.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge allows us to integrate with the long tail of platforms. If we did this in-house it would be much costlier, and would distract us from other critical business priorities.
Robust and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Merge is very easy to implement and flexible. These are not common sentiments in the world of APIs
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive at larger scale (but still beats the alternative of building in-house)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built automated workflows that were triggered via events in our customers HRIS system. Merge made this process seamless while upholding our SOC-2 status which was mission critical.
Merge's Unified API Is Game Changing
What do you like best about the product?
Our team had an intricate challenge to connect to our clients systems across multiple verticals in order to extract data and develop comprehensive reports and checks. We did a ton of research on the best SAAS companies that could meet our needs around offloading the connection, authorization, logging and data transformation pieces that come with API development. Merge hit all of these goals and then some. The best feature is the unified API. Being able to work with one data model across a singular vertical not only saves time, but just makes sense. It allows our team to continue towards our north star and not get caught up in all of the plumbing that comes with API development and ETL work. It is so easy to use and implement. The entire team at Merge has been super helpful and answers any questions at a moment's notice. Could not recommend this product and the people that make up the company any more!

Merge allows our team to focus on building our internal features and not get caught up maintaining hundreds of different integrations and data models
