The easiest way to connect to 3rd party tools at any scale

What do you like best about the product?
Merge is my favorite way to integrate new products to whatever Saas application you have. The unified APIs make it so that you don't even need to think about the complexities of how a platform works or its APIs. Merge does that for us!

In my experience, they've also handled scale extremely well, accepting and passing along enterprise-scale data with no issues. And with any issues I've experienced, they're extremely fast to respond and triage.

I'd highly recommend Merge if you're looking to plug more 3rd party integrations into your product. It makes the job far more easy and predictable, letting you answer customer needs faster while also freeing up roadmap spent building only 1st party.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real dislikes! More integrations to more categories is the never ending need, but Merge is great about bringing these to market continually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified APIs that feed us information from many tools at once in a predicable manner. It avoids a lot of the complexities of integrating and the many many APIs you have to parse for 3rd party tools.

Very good and responsive support

What do you like best about the product?
Their support team is really fast and attentive. The platform is intuitive and simple to use. I personally work with a lot of integrations and the logs that we get are really handful to understand where issues come from, and the tool it's flexible enough to allow for new fields that aren't available in the main responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it would be nice to know if the services they integrate have changes that might impact in our system. Maybe I'm not aware of a change log, but managing lots of services is challenging and it's difficult to know when they apply breaking changes to their APIs.
Also, sometimes it's a bit hard to look for a specific record by id. For example, sometimes we have issues with the Employee endpoints and it's a bit cumbersome to dig into the responses to search for a specific employee id and its employments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to integrate other services with less development effort on our side.

Happy with product and support

What do you like best about the product?
We started using Merge in 2023 and have thousands of linked accounts. Merge's quality has been as good as can be, given the inherently unreliable systems they help integrate with. When there's a bug in the product, we feel confident that we'll get an informed response from their support team and real issues will be fixed relatively soon.

Moreover, for our largest customers that have had security concerns, their support team has hopped on calls with our support team to walk the customer through the process of linking and sharing minimal access.
What do you dislike about the product?
The standard downsides of Unified APIs - for a few integrations, we had to build custom logic since the standard behavior that Merge provided didn't match customer expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use 50+ integration logos through Merge that we don't have to build and maintain ourselves.

Easy to implement software, great results

What do you like best about the product?
Implementation was very fast and we're already seeing a lot of value in the tool. Merge allowed us to connect to many integrations that we didn't have access before. Also, their customer support via slack is amazing and the team is very responsive. As CX, our engineering team now replies faster to my requests to add new integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, everything has been very good. I'd like to see more connectors available and ready to use so we can start using them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many connectors that other platforms do not support, that's why we started using Merge. Since we implemented, we can offer many new integrations to our clients.

Impressive integration coverage, data quality & support

What do you like best about the product?
Merge has great integration coverage and I've been impressed by the quality and consistency of the data returned from the API.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having worked with APIs before I know there are inevitable data bugs due to configuartion edge cases, but the Merge team is always very quick to respond and remediate, and the overall quality is far superior to what I've previously experienced with integrations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations are a pain and working with Merge has been a game changer from a development perspective. Can now offer dozens of integrations to customers, when we would only have had resources to focus on a couple previously with a large development time opportunity cost. It also significantly accelerated our speed to market

What do you like best about the product?
We rely on Merge to support our Accounting and HRIS integrations. From the start, we knew integrations would be critical to our success, and we set a high standard for selecting the right partners.

Over the past year, our experience with Merge has been exceptional. Their platform has enabled us to efficiently expand integrations across multiple categories, allowing us to stay focused on our core product. When unique challenges or support questions arise, the Merge team is always there to provide prompt and effective solutions, helping us accelerate our development and stay on track with our roadmap.

Managing integrations—whether it’s resolving issues, applying updates, or ongoing testing—can be a significant burden on engineering teams. Merge has completely taken that load off our shoulders, saving our engineers hundreds of hours annually and freeing them to focus on building what matters most.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some their integration partnerships, can be "difficult" to work with. There have been times where the integration has gone down, and it hasn't been on Merge, it is has been on the vendor they are integrating with. The good news, is that Merge was super collaborative with us, and talked us through everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily rely on Merge for their HRIS integrations, which have been incredibly valuable to us. These integrations have saved us significant time, money, and relationship capital. Without Merge, individually brokering these relationships would be both time-consuming and expensive, requiring considerable manpower and financial resources. Merge has streamlined this process, allowing us to allocate our efforts and resources more effectively. Technically the product is great. But the Business Development as a Service is really the big value add.

What do you like best about the product?
The Unified API has been a game-changer for us, allowing smooth data transformations across platforms like Justworks and Gusto. It’s saved us a ton of time and effort, and the setup was impressively fast—probably the quickest we’ve seen in terms of integrations. The platform itself is intuitive, making it a breeze to use day-to-day. And I can’t say enough about the customer support team; they’re super responsive and always jump in quickly when we need a hand.
A feature we really appreciate is the API Tester. It’s been incredibly handy for pinpointing issues, letting us confirm right away if a hiccup is coming from the source data. And passthrough tables? Lifesavers. They allow us to bring in extra data beyond the Unified API model, which has been a huge help when we need that added flexibility.
Syncing data with Merge is seamless and just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
We did hit a few snags with an integration in beta that made it a little tricker than expected, but their support was fantastic and offering a quick workaround that got the job done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge has taken the headache out of integrating multiple data sources. With Merge, we don’t have to worry about juggling individual API integrations; it’s all simplified in one place. This has saved us loads of development time and created a more efficient data workflow across all our platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
Merge has been instrumental in helping us accelerate our roadmap. We were able to quickly add dozens of HRIS integrations to our product.

The Electric team has thoroughly enjoyed working with Merge. We highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few more integrations we would love for Merge to add. The team is always collaborative and will work with us to add those integrations, but the main blocker is sandboxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Merge, we can add integrations to Electric's product without having to pull engineers off of other projects. We can stay focused on building the workflows around the integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a customer of Merge at two different startups, and both experiences have been game-changing. Their platform has played a key role in accelerating our integration strategies and expanding the breadth and depth of what capabilities we can offer. Merge has been easy to implement, and has allowed us to be more nimble, bringing new features to market in a fraction of the time if we would have to build them from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike. Occasionally, we get an obscure integration request that they don't support yet, but their team is fantastic and proactive. They constantly listen to customers to expand and improve their connectors based on feedback and demand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge allows our engineering, data, and product teams to move faster and work smarter, adding and improving our integrations way faster than if we had to build them from scratch. Bringing new features to market faster has also given marketing/sales a boost, and reacting to customer requests faster gives NPS a boost. It's a win-win for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the API tester, where i can see what results we should get for different call for different linked accounts. This makes our life very easy when debugging.
The API was simple, modern and reliable. We could get started in no time and had our first integration within the day.
We have many processes that run daily with them and they have proven to be reliable. In any case, customer support is very fast and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although we have passthrough API calls to solve the issue, it takes some time to fetch data that has not been integrated in their unified model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge already connected to a lot of APIs that they provide to us with an unified login and API, making our work simpler.
