What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive user interface; larger selection of data sources

What do you dislike about the product?
Lost functionality with drill down/drill through in going from CA11.0.11 to CA 11.0.12. My team has submitted documentation on this issue and an APAR has been created.
Performance issues exist in IE that don't exist when using Chrome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flyout prompt pages are saving users lots of time as opposed to going back to a prompt page in C10. Users are more excited about the interface and user adoption has increased.

Ease of use - reporting and being able to compare graphs is so powerful!

What's not to like? More insight than ever before

I like the ease of the interface, and the value of the analytics results we recieve.

I dislike that some of the features from earlier version are no longer part of the product.

Ease of access to data, quicker than we could have recived using other methods.

Easy to use, supports a lot of self service for business users & an excellent reporting tool

It takes time for a new developer to learn all the features

Cognos is being used for Enterprise reporting & has helped with Analytics & decision making for lots of areas like Supply Chain, Financial reporting, Marketing reports etc

Great tool, great support, legendary company.
What do you like best about the product?
Opening a case is easy. Initial response times are usually same day. With any given support, you have some techs that are better than others. But for the most part, they are all pretty good at IBM.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the techs are from other countries. So accents can sometimes a cause a communication barrier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly Cognos 11 related issues. And most of those are regarding legacy reports using Portal Pages.

This application is very easy to use both for the developers and the business users. With new functionality, it is efficient .

The dashbord development is something i am not in favour of with this application.

The fact that everyone has access to a database and can make changes within their own workspace, and not doing so through a 'web' link.
