new looks, intergration, data preparation and scalabillity of the product

looking at competitors, its good to simplify the offering / product and the licence model to a scalable offering

Powerful and Robust
What do you like best about the product?
I like that IBM Cognos Analytics covers so many different reporting and data analysis business cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can, at times, be difficult to navigate. Some configuration settings are controlled in places you would not expect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am delivering reports, dashboards, and data dumps for our Financial analysts. Again this speaks to the overall robustness of the tool as you can do so much.
Robust tool set and integrates well with Excel

Integration with Excel and ability to marry multiple data with real-time data refresh

Some lag in calculations when using remotely

I like the new cognos Analytics Features, especially the new and really good usability and graphical options

I thnik that list pricing is much to high. Wouldn't it be better to have a very price sensitive go to market like other big players.

The concept of story books! Fantastic! The ability to tell a story using the client's data is very compelling

complexity of installation and setup -- administration also needs improvement

I have been working in BI Cognos from past 14 years and it's been good the Operaional reporting and mutidimensional analysis and we are looking more towards dashboards in current version.

Still need to get there as per the users exoectation in the current requirements.

I was thinking of moving my environment away from On-prem to cloud and found that IBM softlayer served its need to moving towards the cloud and also did a great help in migrating the environemnt.'
