Great tool for reporting and analytics

The ease of creating and analyzing reports in different browsers.

Best tool for easy reporting and data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to turn data into clear reports and dashboards. I like that I can drag and drop items to build reports without needing any coding skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can also be bit slow when working with a lot of data.

IBM Cognos Analytics helps us bring all our business data into one place. This makes it easier to check reports, find trends, and make faster decisions. It also helps us predict future outcomes, so we can plan better and avoid problems early.
A complete and user-friendly BI tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use without any programming knowledge. Cognos Analytics integrates data from a vast base with security and accuracy, generating sophisticated and useful reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price! Compared to other BI tools, it is very expensive.

Allows analyzing data from multiple sources, provides dashboards and customized reports with real metrics, facilitating decisions based on concrete data, and no longer on "guesswork."

I like how it easily connects to our data sources and gives us powerful options to build detailed and automated reports.

It takes some time to learn if you're new, and building custom dashboards isn’t as smooth or flexible as in tools like Tableau.

It helps us bring data from different sources into one place and creates detailed reports automatically. This saves us time, reduces manual work, and helps us make faster, better decisions.
User experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the convenience it gives the user, watching the clients do something as quickly as the tool does, specific for each one.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit complex to write the logic of the Cognos language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have experience in projects and this greatly assists our clients; they are able to have more autonomy when the model is designed with the client's specific type of business in mind.
My experience has been outstanding—intuitive, powerful, and incredibly insightful.

I really appreciate how easy it is to create queries and the ability to use SQL within IBM Cognos Analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't enjoy creating reports, especially when they are complex and time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me extract important data for use in other tools with which I am more familiar. To do this, in IBM Cognos, I create automated routines that send the results directly to an email, so they can be processed later.
