It works with many kinds of data and helps make nice dashboards.
It gives smart ideas from data, is easy to use, and lets people work together.

It helps me see and understand data easily. I can make reports faster, find answers quickly, and make better choices at work.

What do you like best about the product?
User group distribution and capacity management are well supported. I can easily manage user roles and permissions, and the integration with Planning Analytics and Azure AD is straightforward. We have reliable and responsive access to IBM support, which has been very helpful. I use the product frequently and find the navigation highly intuitive and user-friendly. The product’s installation and configuration are easy to implement.

At times, I encounter some difficulties when using filters to build reports.

It is full stack. I an create fully detailed reports and super fancy dashboards. And over the past five years the number of improvements are tremendous.

It is difficult to use for novices, especially the reporting module.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing IBM Cognos Analytics for inventory management forecasting and for prediction of opportunities lost (due to unavailability of raw materials/parts) for some of our manufacturing plants. Although we have a data science team, Cognos Analytics allowed me to create a quick proof of concept. I have connected our SQL databases, and I was able to identify atleast 3 divisons, where the current suply was less than predicted demand
