Discovery helped me sorting document data during my chatbot development period
What do you like best about the product?
The data classification into various segments as well as tagging of data through ai was the best feature of discovery. The tool is also continent to operate with data of different languages as well as natural language.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some bugs wherein I had to re-upload the data multiple times as the so did not recognize some sections of data. The language tolerance and synonyms need little improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Watson discovery had benefitted my project and help me improve my chatbot data and its responses. The data handling with different languages have also helped me a lot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM Watson discovery will significantly reduce your work to tag the documented data, and segregate in different sections.Typos maybe an issue with the discovery but it is really useful in segregating huge data.

Watson services are very easy to use abd implement. It is full of features and functions.
What do you like best about the product?
It's way of analysing through database and giving very precise answers. The way it gives the info is just like a human being providing me googled answers. So i can say that it is perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the time being, everything is great, no problems are there.

It's great AI tool, don't hesitate in using it. I can assure you it will perfectly help you in creating you projects. The way it analyzes the data and give you answers is called perfection.
They are good at what they are good at, but not in general case
What do you like best about the product?
In the showcase they marketing at, they are really good at it. The sdu is really useful for document share high format similarity.
What do you dislike about the product?
In other general case or new area you just need to utilize their platform, they are not doing good job. SDU doesnt works for image and tables. Also the paragraph token is a problem sometimes.

An excellent tool for data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I am so amazed by how I will be able to create reports from the data I gathered. The good thing about this is you can upload both unstructured and structured data to create various reports. At my current job, I am thinking of how I can use this tool to gather more information about our operations. I am currently working at a food and beverage store. I have observed that using this tool will be beneficial to gather data and be more efficient in our daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I just need more training to understand the tool more.

I haven't used it on any projects. I used it to understand how the tool works.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is straight forward, easy to onboard and use and, on top of all that, IBM offers a truly great support. I actually had a 15 minutes call with a senior engineer to discuss my needs without even being a paid user.

Nothing in particular, the tool live up to his promise and is great. However, if I need to point out something, due to my use case, heavy python development was needed to extract exactly what we needed from it.

Depending on the CMS being used, you might have access to plugins or add-ons that will do something similar. The problem with this approach is it's usually extremely slow, and not at all reliable or customizable.

Even with the development that was required, R&D and Q&A time needed was cut by 70%.

IBM Watson Discovery is an amazing tool if you know what you need and what it can accomplishes. It would be worth even just taking a look and exploring it a little bit more to truly understand how powerful it is.

What do you like best about the product?
It finds information that is relevant to the query from an external data source and returns it to the assistant. The service works fast and is much easier to implement than building an in-house intelligent document search solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free LITE plan is limited and the PREMIUM is rather expensive. Watson Discovery will most likely not give you great results out of the box and will need time invested in building the custom models and text annotation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using Watson Discovery to treat the user input to chatbot as a search query. The benefits are time to market and ease of integration with other IBM Watson services.

Get maximum out of the free LITE plan. It gives all you need to build a working demo or a proof of concept.

I wouldn't say there is something about IBM Watson's Discovery that I espcially dislike, although if I'm being pedantic I would say that the learning curve is almost too steep. While it is one of the easier platforms to become proficient in, there still are multiple ways that in my opinion can further streamline the learning phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to conduct in depth fundamental analysis of various reports that are made public by companies (auditor's report, shareholding pattern, financial reports) to determine what actions to take in the financial market environment.
I also experimented with it by using IBM Watson Discovery to analyzing inaccuracies and solutions in legal contracts and proposal documents.

Great Product by IBM
What do you like best about the product?
The use of artificial intelligence to find out the right combination of API's and fine tuning of queries while analyzing an interpreting of data or trends.
Also the use of machine learning in this product has also helped me a lot, it also includes natural language processing capabilities and can be easily trained as well.

Nothing as such. Till date, I have not faced any problems with ibm watson discovery and I think it is a great tool and has helped me a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to spend less time and extract more value while building apps as compared to my peers hence, my productivity has increased due to this application. It has helped me to understand the complex structure of a lot of data that would have bee traditionally very difficult for me to analyze and find something important suiting my needs. It also integrates with conversational AI to find out answers to my questions.

IBM Watson Discovery is a must product for our people in our industry. If you are in the writing or editing industry, IBM watson review is a must.
