What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to use and navigate, I like how the interface is designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve and not too many instructions, you need to spend a lot of time to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved my complex analytical question for statistical analysis.

Excellent cloud notebook environment for analytics and data science

  • February 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to get started with Deepnote, and the environment is very comfortable if you like notebooks. In many ways it reminds me of JupyterLab but with a modern and enterprise feel. You can have multiple notebooks per project (something competitors don't allow) and it is extremely easy to deploy a dashboard or report with a few clicks.

The AI features are very handy and speed up the low value work of typing syntax correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data apps could be improved somewhat. It's hard to pinpoint but there are some improvements to be made on the responsiveness of the apps and the overall look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to have a single platform to hold and share my analyses. In addition it needs to have my data connectors and a good system for organization and sharing. Deepnote checks all these boxes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy are the integrations with databases and storage sources like s3 and github. we frecuently use it for data collection. so start a new project is very easy. it has some libraries alredy installed and the guidance makes the support very smooth. because is based on jupyter notebook, implementation of projects are the same we used to do it before
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating input controls, the buttons controls are complicated to use or program
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL environment, database access.

What do you like best about the product?
Workspace is convenient and user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
They require you to pay to access the AI features (so CoLab is better if you want something free)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easier to collaborate on multiple notebooks

  • February 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to set everything up and get your scripts to run on a schedule
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have more freedom to decorate and edit the appearance of the graphs that get reproduced
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The easy processing of setting up new simple scripts without having the trouble of setting up whole server to get cron jobs to run

Love Deepnote's ability to create accurate reporting packages

  • February 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to join tables from multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve around the visualization customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a solution that allowed us to join data from different tables across multiple sources. We needed flexiblity in how the data would be visualized and allow for the user to "run" the report for the most up-to-date data points.

Sharing notebooks made easy

  • January 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can simply transform my python notebooks into user-friendly apps and share them just by using a link. It's so convenient. Compared to google colab and similar online solutions, it is possible to upload the files used by the notebook which is a massive plus!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor difficulties with python, e.g. spatial operations sometimes are not compatible due to a lack of spatial index (e.g. rtree) although index is installed. Some things also depend on the kernel version. So, all in all, debugging isn't as easy as on a local machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was looking for an online solution that allows sharing a notebook in a simple manner whereas the required data to run the notebook comes with the notebook. I didn't find anything else that is similar without connecting to a google account or something else.

    Primary/Secondary Education

The speed although it is not so good (the free plan) it is a bit faster than some other online IDEs.

What do you like best about the product?
It keep running even my local system is shutdown. And the ease of use also is appealing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the machine stoped unexpectedly, but it gives us a hint about it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My school proejcts

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet, haven't been using it for long enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ad-hoc analysis, preparation of data science tasks for bringing it further into prod

Clean UI and effortless setup make data analysis a breeze

  • January 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Perfect for startups handling large datasets with budget constraints. The simple UI is intuitive even for team members with limited engineering background, while still being powerful enough for experienced engineers. Our engineering team found the setup process remarkably smooth. The platform offers enterprise-level features at a reasonable cost, making it an excellent choice for growing teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
While not exactly dislikes, there are areas for potential enhancement: multilingual support (especially for Japanese) could be improved, and we look forward to seeing more advanced AI assistant features. These additions would make this already excellent platform even better for international teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a startup handling large-scale data analysis, we faced two main challenges: high infrastructure costs and the need for a platform that works for both technical and non-technical team members. Deepnote solved these by providing a cost-effective solution with enough computing power for our large datasets, while its intuitive UI allows our diverse team to collaborate effectively. The quick setup time and minimal configuration requirements significantly reduced our operational overhead, allowing us to focus on actual data analysis rather than infrastructure management.
