Useful for Collaborative Work
What do you like best about the product?
It is very convenient to collaborate with other people on code. It gives real-time updates of other people's contributions. The code suggestions are quite useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any particular dislikes at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote is great for collaborative data analysis projects. We tend to work remotely, so Deepnote's live updates on each other's written code is quite convenient. The suggested code is another helpful convenience.
A useful and simple tool
What do you like best about the product?
Managing projects with a team is simple and effective. I love the UI and how intuitive it is. The collaboration tools are nice and the cloud-based execution works very well. Working for Machine Learning projects in an academic context was made much simpler thanks to Deepnote.
What do you dislike about the product?
While powerful, may frustrate users with its limited offline capabilities, occasional performance lags during high-load operations, and a lack of extensive integrations compared to established competitors like Jupyter or Google Colab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made the interaction with other students and professors much smoother for ML projects.
Useful, intuitive but sometimes slow.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that deepnote is rather intuitive, it is versatile, allowing you to code and take notes in the same place. I use it almost every day. It allows easy integration of many packages. There is an option for customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lags a lot. It can be glitchy and take a long time to run a programme and may randomly stop working at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote allows me to collaborate with other people on the same project which is a life saver when trying to code something with other people. It also requires no need to download the programme, which is helpful as it can be used across different devices.
Deepnote is a lovely tool for someone who isn't familiar with coding.
What do you like best about the product?
AI code functionality - when it works, it works really well.
Neat set of external data integrations too.
Neat set of external data integrations too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI code starts off on an incorrect note. And progressively gets bad after that.
Deepnote doesn't have enough native visualisations (like maps)
Deepnote doesn't have enough native visualisations (like maps)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are performing data analysis on top of the data generated by our product
Best experience
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to code and add blocks. I was amazed that it has numerous options which can be used to write the code efficiently and make the users understand by adding text blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. There is nothing that I didn't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding any number of coding blocks and saving them on website without having a fear that file will be lost.
Elegant and powerful platform to learn Data Science
What do you like best about the product?
It's so beautiful! It's powerful and easy to connect to datasets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could have more open source elements, such as connections protocols.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to engage with the data.
Effective UI and easily shareable workspaces
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about deepnote is that it's very easy for a user to make a copy of a notebook and run it themselves, or to collaborate on a notebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
The machine boot times are sometimes slow, and having to pay for a GPU isn't ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with robots in simulation for class
Classroom Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for students to collaborate in realtime was vital for classroom goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were server issues where students had trouble accessing and starting up machines in timely manners. Deepnote support was easy to contact, but I did lose classtime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using R to analyze data sets in real time with collaborators
Easy to use python notebook interface
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is easy to use with functional usability elements that make the product a good tool for basic querying and data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deepnote from a visualization standpoint lacks certain functionality that other tools are able to provide at the same price point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Querying large amounts of data and performing ETLs to make the data easy to digest and useable.
A great, collaborative Jupyter replacement
What do you like best about the product?
I love Deepnote's UI. It makes working with small- to midsized datasets super easy and adds useful collaborative features. Their "App" approach for internal dashboards reminds me of Retool and is a fantastic feature to share insights generated to non-technical team members without time-heavy preparation (pasting generated graphs into PowerPoint or such).
What do you dislike about the product?
For very small datasets, especially if collaboration isn't needed, Deepnote can be a tad too heavy and running Jupyter (or similar tooling) locally circumvents the need to expose your Data via API or uploading it first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Deepnote to analyze pre-sales for our in-person events. Using Deepnote helps us generate graphics that we can all access and discuss collaboratively.
