Fast Setup and Seamless Browser Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Quick set-up and everything runs on your internet browser without interruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to contact for access to larger machines
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forecasting, ML analytics
Effortless Python App Deployment with Deepnote's Intuitive Features
What do you like best about the product?
When I was looking to deploy Python apps and dashboards for a course, I found that there were few solutions easy for students to deploy and share. Deepnote's apps and dataframe visualizations are really neat and easy to deploy. I also really like the GitHub integration that makes it easy to share a project, rather than a single notebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
The environments are very opinionated and sometimes clash with projects that I've developed elsewhere. I'm seeing really fast development in this space -- especially, with the new VSCode support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data apps for students. Increasingly, though, it looks like I'll be able to use Deepnote for ML development requiring some GPU support.
Intuitive Interface and Developer-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, similarity to Google colab makes it easier for developers to build scripts and models.
Also it's integrations with google products, and many datawarehouses, makes it easier to connect and perform ML related tasks on our own data directly from warehouse (Snowflake for us)

What do you dislike about the product?
Deepnote’s AI is useful when working with individual blocks, but it often falls short in terms of "agent-like" project awareness. It can have difficulty maintaining context throughout an entire notebook, occasionally overlooking explicit instructions or losing track of variables defined in cells that are farther apart. This is especially noticeable when compared to more advanced AI-native IDEs like Cursor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating manual tasks like user onboarding to our system via adding them to various platforms.

Elevates Team Collaboration with Powerful Integrations and Visualisations
What do you like best about the product?
Having used Google Colab for many years, Deepnote kicks things up a notch in terms of capabilities. It's unlocked greater insights across the team by having persistent storage, easier external integrations and fantastic visualisation capabilities, allowing us to present data more professionally than before. It's also closer to the experience of using Google Docs where multiple team mates can edit in real time. Easy to use and scales well from junior to senior needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does what it does great, though I'll still use Colab for my own personal work as I find it easier to get going quickly, whereas Deepnotes strengths lie with collaboration across a team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key one being collaboration across the team is far easier with Deepnote than Colab, which unlocks greater insights that can be presented more professionally and shared easily.
Seamless BigQuery Integration and App Dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
Direct integration with BigQuery, very intuitive Python notebook and App functionality to share dashboards with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apps have to be rerun every time. It would be great if they kept past runs and / or could be scheduled (once a day for example). Some dashboards take 3+ minutes to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing cross platform business dashboards for my team.
Effective AI and Smooth Python-SQL Integration, But Room for Growth
What do you like best about the product?
I think the AI is, in general, very effective. It creates graphs very well. I like the easy integration of Python and SQL. I am not experienced in Python but I am in SQL. It's nice to be able to move back and forth and use the AI to create good visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI agent can go a bit crazy and make a bunch of relatively useless blocks of code. Also, it is really annoying that I can't expand the menu bar to see project names. Sometimes we have similarly named projects that I can't see the full name of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned, I am not an experienced Python coder. There are a number of things that Python does better than SQL and so it's nice to have that easy integration. I came from using BigQuery and I didn't have Python integrated there.
Custom Docker Images Support Makes It Stand Out
What do you like best about the product?
Allows custom docker images with custom kernels
What do you dislike about the product?
charts UI is not very polished and customizable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows a shared environment for doing data science
Empowers Analysts to Focus on Insights, Not Administration
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that it enables analysts and data scientists to concentrate on their analysis rather than spending time managing their collaborative development environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback I’ve noticed so far is that, to my knowledge, there isn’t currently a Claude Code integration available. I think everyone would appreciate this!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote allows my colleagues to start working with data as soon as it arrives in our data warehouse, and makes it simple for them to share their analyses with others. I appreciate how it removes many of the routine obstacles that usually consume time and energy during data analysis.
Effortless Navigation and Simple Report Editing
What do you like best about the product?
Site is easy to read and navigate. Editing reports is simple and straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Running a query or report sometimes takes a little while although that may be more an issue with our data warehouse rather than an issue on your end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to pull and analyze data that I present to customers on monthly performance meeting. I am able to leverage the insights from this app to improve digital ad campaigns on our platform.
Unlimited Notebook Runs Make This a Standout Choice
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is it does not have 10 minute limitations for running notebooks OR long-winded SQL quries.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see an easy to access help guide for Deep note features and the link to be available in the Deep note hamburger menu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently Deepnote is super helpful when we need to manipulate large data sets, I personally use it for health check on large number of devices and their breadcrumb data.
