Easy to use and a great collaboration tool for Data Science Projects
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to set up, great for collaboration and inexpensive when compared to other data science tools, not to mention intuitive. I use it to call APIs and capture and send data to our BI tool, and compared to what the tool would charge us to have Python in their platform, Deep note is virtually free.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deepnote is missing integrations with Azure storage and Google Drive at the moment so that could be an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me capture data from APIs, clean it and send it to our BI tool. It also helped me manage and schedule governance jobs, where I could run on specific days and not worry about it. It is a great feature. In our company we use for a few data science projects as well, such as sentiment analysis on surveys, always sending it back the final output to our BI tool.
Game changer
What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
- no option to use a function from a Python file, since it only supports notebooks
- Sometimes the AI helper is suggesting a very big change to the code that doesn't work, when the actual fix is quite simple

The AI and autocomplete supercharge my productivity
What do you like best about the product?
I use Deepnote for mostly SQL and light Python. I'm an expert level SQL writer but I still let the AI do a lot of the heavy lifting for me. It helps me write queries faster and debug queries faster.
The auto-complete as had learned my sql writing style and has an uncanny ability to create the syntax I'm going for after I just type a little bit of code. For example if I start to type "WHERE my_date B" it will automatically suggest the rest of the syntax using the values I aliased in that code block like ""BETWEEN some_random_alias AND another_random_alias"
I love using the Notebook view rather than a SQL query interface like the Snowflake UI. Deepnote is has fast performance as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could set a .sqlfluff linter file. I had formatting with commas in back but I can't customize the code formatting with my own settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster query writing and analysis.
Marketing Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to visualize queries into tables, graphs or other structures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat cumbersome load time if the query becomes lengthy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote is providing the line of sight into marketing spend at a granular level.
Deepnote Review
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is in Deepnote to utilize both SQL and Python in the same notebook. I like the ability to build out datasets with a SQL query and then reference them with Python to manipulate the data. I also like the deepnote AI features that allow for easy editing and creation of code even faster than it would be if I was troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the scheduling features on Deepnote are still a little bit limited, with an inability to schedule multiple notebooks in one project. I do like the addition of CRON scheduling, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote solves the issue of trying to use multiple coding languages in the same project. This benefits me because I am able to easily pull datasets using SQL and then easily manipulate that data using Python rather than writing extended SQL queries that can become very complex.
Good platform to share ideas with colleagues
What do you like best about the product?
Deepnote is a fantastic platform for anyone diving into data science, especially if you're working with a team. It’s cloud-based, which means you can access it from anywhere and collaborate in real time, much like Google Docs but for data work. It supports popular tools like Python, SQL, and Jupyter notebooks, making it really versatile. Plus, connecting to various data sources is a breeze. While it might take a little getting used to if you're new to cloud-based tools, its user-friendly design and powerful features make it a great choice for modern data science projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deepnote can be challenging for beginners due to its learning curve, and some users might find its cloud-based performance occasionally sluggish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration: Real-time teamwork, like Google Docs for data
Integration: Works with Python, SQL, and more without switching tools

Deepnote is one of the best tools for collaboration in data
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Deepnote for more than a year and I'm super satisfied with it. It's easy to connect to our data watehouse and run our first line of code. Deepnote AI makes data exploration way faster, we are power user of the App function. Several applications are used across the organisation. Notebook scheduling is also extremely useful for us with integrating Deepnote to Slack and Notion. We were able to create a fully automated reporting for our stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Althought we love the product, there are some areas where the team could make some improvements. Deppnote runs our code on their own machines, not using our AWS sources, so somethimes queries run slower than usual. I'd really like to see a canvas feature so we would be able to create customized reports (i.e. a Metric Tree).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy integration to our data warehouse and supporting collaboration. So we don't need to struggle with connecting to Athena, it's easy to set up as 1-2-3. We are able to collaborate seamlessly on analysis and ML modeling.
Never seen better tool for Business analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Deepnote has truly transformed the way I work with data. Its user-friendly interface is both intuitive and visually appealing, making it a joy to navigate even the most complex tasks. The platform's speed and efficiency are unmatched, allowing me to focus on insights rather than waiting for processes to complete.
One of the standout features is the sheer versatility in data connectivity options. Whether you're pulling from databases, APIs, or cloud storage, Deepnote seamlessly integrates with a wide array of data sources, providing unparalleled flexibility for any project.
Moreover, their AI and copilot functionalities are second to none. These tools not only enhance productivity but also empower users with intelligent suggestions and automation capabilities that streamline workflows and boost creativity.
In summary, Deepnote is a powerhouse for anyone looking to elevate their data analysis experience. It's a must-have tool for data professionals and enthusiasts alike.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Deepnote could improve is in its flexibility regarding the customization of block positioning within the app. Currently, users have limited control over arranging blocks to suit their workflow preferences. Enhancing this feature would greatly benefit users by allowing for a more personalized and efficient workspace, tailored to individual needs and project requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote has revolutionized the way we analyze product user data. By providing a seamless platform for data exploration and visualization, it empowers our team to dive deep into user behavior and preferences.
