I love the UI and AI integration

  • October 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The generative AI function saves me a lot of time writing codes and helps me to explain the logic and the result of some statistical tests.
The UI is also clean and neat so that I can navigate easily. The App feature is a plus, as it allows us to share our work with stakeholders without the need for extra licenses.
The integration is easy with AWS service as long as you have the correct role and permission with your AWS account.
The implementation is just like jupyter notebook which is simple to use and organised very structurally.
It's really hands-on so I use it for almost all the projects.

In terms of customer support, my team met the Deepnote team once and they are very knowledgeable and willing to share how to use Deepnote the best way. They also took my suggestion into account and I am so glad that my feedback is being heard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the speed of running the notebook is slow. Also, big files cannot be uploaded directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote provides a collaboration platform for my team where we can share our works and feedback without the need of sending the files around. It also allows us to create "App" so that we can make some data products for the stakeholders easily and this was nearly impossible with other tools effortlessly.

Great for dashboards

Easy to build and use internal dashboards without having to hard code them. Easy to use for business individuals who know SQL as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Organization can get a bit clunky, and things often break when too much compute is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building reports and dashboards for our business metrics. Also, pulling data about engagement on a regular basis for our clients.

Finally a tool that does what I need it to do

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to very easily schedule jobs and run scripts without having to do hours of refactoring.
Super easy to use and get set up.
Best value for money in the market.
The ai companion is helpful to debug code as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that you can only scehdule 1 notebook per project makes it clunky
The project-based hierarchy of the tool is a little confusing, it took me a little while to learn how to navigate the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows to me to run complex scripts on a schedule and get automation early in projects.
It saves me a lot of time and effort by allowing to automate a lot of taljs very easily

Deepnote Is Great But Needs Better Inline Editing

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can store all of my keys in one place.
I like that I can build an app for my team that they can view daily if they want. We use it for our product analytics (we are very early stage startup) and everyone is pretty happy with that use.
The actual interface is very nice to use and intuitive.
I'm glad I can run a notebook and walk away and then check it in an hour or half a day depending on the length and intensity of the notebook.
It's very easy to spin up new projects and to share them with my team, even if the team member is only passingly familiar with python.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a scroll issue where I click on a spot on a page and it like takes me to a different spot? And I get stuck in that loop sometimes and it is annoying.

I wish I could do more with the visualization tool. I want to be able to add two different data columns and have them on the same graph and I want to be able to tell the graph that something is a time or currency etc. I want to be able to adjust the graph a lot more in the viz tool.

Sometimes when I click "cancel execution" it doesn't work so i am just in limbo with that notebook for a long while.

The inline editing should be better/faster? Cursor does inline editing a lot better (I use cursor for typescript but not python b/c i like notebooks).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's our product analytics dashboard! It is also my python notebook and it's a really really good python notebook app.

Super product for colabortive data science

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes colaboration really easy and the ability to make simple apps that we can share with users accross the business is really flexible and powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only being able to have one app per project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my team colaborate on analysis and data tools, building them out and then being able to easily share them with eachother and the wider business. The apps feature allows us to build simple non-technical user interfaces which our colleagues can use to benefit from the code without having to understand it.

Fast enviroment for development

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can fast prototyping data analysis , from idea to charts within hours.
Ai integration is great, even not technical people can now do data science.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface relies heavely on user side and it is very connectivity sensible, if you lost connection for a brief moment, the interface stucks and can cause trouble (accidental runs or code deletion)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a reliable platform to fast prototyping data analysis, collaborative and on the cloud, deepnote suits perfectly our needs

Great Intuitive Platform

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Deepnote isn’t just for building reports and running notebooks—it also allows you to create interactive apps that others can use without needing any technical expertise. With just a few clicks, you can turn your notebook into a shareable app, allowing external users to interact with data, run analyses, and generate reports based on live inputs. This feature is perfect for creating tools and dashboards that clients, stakeholders, or team members can access directly, even if they aren’t data-savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Deepnote is that it can be resource-intensive for large datasets or complex computations. Because it’s a cloud-based tool, heavy workflows can sometimes experience lag or delays, especially on the free or lower-tier plans, which may limit processing power.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running reports, allowing external non- data savvy users to run reports.
