A really promising tool

What do you like best about the product?
Superblocks is powerful, easy to use, and lets us spin up backend workflows and apps with ease. It provides a nice layer of abstraction ontop of what would be a very complicated serverless tech stack. I utilize workflows the most to spin up light weight scripts that I call from other apps like Airtable or Slack. Team is very supportive and open minded.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the biggest cons of Superblocks are 1) Its UI can get cluttered when you make a lot of apps and workflows, 2) It doesn't support more robust typed languages like Typescript, 3) Latency can be *very* high for both UI and backend workflows, 4) Light mode IDE...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for point solutions where you just need to regularly run a script, or for basic backend web dev tasks. It saves a ton of time.

Pretty Good

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes creating apps quicker for developers, and the team is great about their openmindedness around feature requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as flexable as I'd like. We use Superblocks for internal users and have to rely more heavily on training and documentation to bridge the gap for good user experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting things done more quickly

Efficient Low-Code Solution

  • March 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've found Superblocks to be a highly useful low-code platform for app development. It's user-friendly, making it accessible to both back-end and front-end developers. Their customer support is exceptional, always ready to assist. The tool seamlessly integrates with essential services like Hubspot, Zendesk, and Slack, which is a major plus for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be more advanced, and the lack of features like copy-pasting blocks between apps can be limiting, but it's also true that they are constanlty adding new features. Collaborative work can also lead to some manual code merging, which could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving Internal Processes. By using Superblocks to create internal apps, we can automate and optimize various internal processes. Whether it's streamlining communication, managing tasks, or tracking performance, the apps we build can lead to more efficient workflows, saving time and reducing errors. We are also creating a external app for our clients.

Awesome low-code tool to build internal dashboards.

What do you like best about the product?
After doing an extensive research trying to find a perfect low-code tool to build an analytical dashboard for our SAAS, we tested and decided to stick with Superblocks. First thing, that catches your eye is a slick design and moreover, under the hood, it provides very powerfull functionality to build your internal apps. A lot of components to implement pretty much anything you want, tones of data sources, javascript and python support, variables, API's and pretty much anything you can think of.

As your logic gets more complecated they have a convenient debugger to troubleshoot your errors. You can easily switch between staging and production profiles, add your own custom components, setup a theme (color scheme) for your apps / tools, track progress via versions and much much more.

Also, want to mention that support is quick and very responsive in helping you resolve your issues, no matter large or small. If you have a small team even a free version is powerfull enough to build decent apps. Highly recommended!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve as with all low-code / no code tools they all look similar but also different. Another thing that comes to my mind I wish to have an ability to create multipage apps for a more complicated logic
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we run a shoestring budget SAAS that was lacking a certain functionality, Superblocks allowed us to quickly build internal analytical dashboard to track our users and their activity. Building something like this from scratch would require enormous amount of time and money.

Amazing Low-Code Tool with quickest time to market and intuitive features

  • March 04, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
With no Hands-On Coding experience I was able to build a professional looking web app very quickly which invokes a series of APIs and business logic in Python ( built using their AI assistant ).
What do you dislike about the product?
No Native "Gen AI" drag-n-drop blocks available - however was able to add GenAi capabilities using raw Open AI integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick to Market Apps with no coding experience

Very useful GUI-building tool

  • March 04, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to build GUIs, with drag-and-drop ability for all elements. Wide range of potential interactive elements, like dropdown menus, multi-select options and input fields. Seemless integration between the GUI and APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little bit of a steep learning curve to understand how everything links together (partcularly being able to transfer Python knowlegde to JSON knowledge and vice versa).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create simple to build and simple to use apps which integrate with Python.

What do you dislike about the product?
Audit logs can be more informative about the action performed.
Authentication can be made more simple
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing our in-house back office and providing our support the ability to build tools with low code

Easy to get started and excellent support, a rare find!

What do you like best about the product?
I am a novice backend developer who needs to quickly prototype AI applications for internal use without having to create an entire front-end from scratch. I tried a few different low-code platforms and Superblocks is my clear favorite because the UX on their platform just makes sense to my brain, so I've been able to jump in. I've only been using it a week or two, but already it has been very easy for me to add different APIs and databases to my project and then connect them to pre-designed UI components, with just snippets of JS to glue them all together. I just finished my first demo app that uses the OpenAI API and I am excited about what I can build next. But for me, the very best thing about Superblocks has been the support -- very quick , friendly, knowledgable, and helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the documentation and walkthroughs could be improved, at least for newer devs like me. A few times I have had ask the help desk a question that I feel could have been covered in the docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm creating internal tools that pull in data from APIs and databases and then allow my users to "chat" with their data using ChatGPT. I don't want to spend a lot of time on the front right now, I just need it to work, and Superblocks is ideas for that. They have an OpenAI connector and a chat window component that make it relatively easy to snap things together with a bit of JS glue.

Easy to use platform with great customer support

  • March 04, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use. Getting simple applications up and running is a very quick process that even someone with relatively low technical knowledge of web developement can handle. The customer support team is also very helpful and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The on-prem hosting option is not really a fully on-prem setup. Instead the front-end and authentication is served through SB cloud, while the underlying data and api calls are served through the on-prem agent. I can see some advantages to a hybrid structure like this, but it may also not be ideal for all use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team needed a way to build simple inernal tooling applications that enabled various teams throughout the company to interact with our rest api product. We didn't want to consume engineering resources to build our own custom web apps to do this enablement, so we use superblocks so that a few people with technical backgrounds outside of the engineering team can build out what their teams need without bogging down the engineers.
