Help us feel safe with my passwords and online payments

  • August 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What surprised me the most was how quickly I adapted. I remember that the first time I installed it I was afraid it would be another of those apps that make me waste time, but no: in less than 10 minutes I had already saved my most important passwords. It felt so natural that, when I entered my mail and it self-completed itself, I laughed to think of the years I had lost copying and pasting keys from a note hidden in the phone. As for security, it gave me real peace of mind. The first time Watchtower warned me that a password I was using was compromised, I felt like I had a personal guard watching my back. And the "Travel Mode" gave me a brutal calm when I traveled: before going through migration I erased my sensitive data and then, with one click, I recovered them upon arriving at the hotel. Value for money, although I had to think before paying, convinced me in the first week. With all that it saved me in stress and time, the price stopped looking expensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
On a couple of occasions, I failed to sync a new device and had to set it up again. The team support was keeping an eye on everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our company the difference was even clearer. Before, when someone needed a tool key, we had to track down old emails or ask three different people on the team until we found it. It was chaos and, even worse, a risk. With 1Password we set up a shared vault, and there we have everything, and there is no risk of disclosing data. I remember one Friday, in full urgency with a client, that we needed the corporate card to pay for a license. Instead of wasting time searching for it, it was already saved in 1Password, and we used it with secure autocomplete in seconds. That day we finished on time thanks to that, and I thought, "It’s over; this app has earned its place here"

Secure, Cross-Platform Password manager

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
• Seamless autofill: 1Password consistently auto-fills credentials and form fields across websites and applications, eliminating the need for manual entry and reducing friction in daily workflows. This works reliably on all major platforms and browsers, including complex forms and dynamic sites.

• Security architecture: The platform employs AES-256 encryption, a zero-knowledge model, and mandatory use of a Secret Key alongside the master password, effectively a built-in two-factor authentication layer. This approach means the provider cannot access vault contents, mitigating risks of internal or external breaches.

• Watchtower: Watchtower flags reused, weak, or compromised passwords, monitors for data breaches, and provides proactive security recommendations. The feature also scans for unsecured URLs and automatically highlights accounts involved in known breaches, enabling timely remediation.

• Secure sharing and granular access: Vaults are fully customizable, with flexible sharing options for individuals, families, and teams. Access controls are detailed, allowing administrators to define who can view, edit, or manage each item or vault. This supports compliance requirements and reduces reliance on insecure sharing methods.

• Cross-platform and extensible: The client is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, with robust browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Safari. CLI tools integrate 1Password into development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.

• Password generation and storage: The built-in generator creates strong passwords and passphrases, with options to customize complexity, length, and character sets. All generated credentials are auto-saved and available across devices.

• Passkey support: 1Password now supports passkey management for passwordless authentication on supported sites, aligning with modern security trends.

• Travel Mode: This feature temporarily removes sensitive vaults from devices when traveling, reducing exposure to border searches or device theft.

• Privacy Cards: Virtual cards can be generated for online purchases, reducing the risk of credit card fraud.

• Admin and audit features: Business and enterprise plans include detailed logging, user management, and the ability to restore deleted items, critical for compliance and incident response.
What do you dislike about the product?
• Login recognition inconsistency: While autofill generally works well, some legacy or custom login forms are not recognized, requiring manual copying and pasting. This is a known pain point, especially in enterprise environments with bespoke applications.

• Duplicate management: The platform lacks native tools for identifying and cleaning up duplicate entries across vaults. Manual deduplication can be time-consuming, especially after migrating from other password managers or spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With 1Password, we consolidated all credentials, API keys, and sensitive notes into a single, encrypted platform. Secure sharing eliminated the need to exchange passwords via email or chat. Role-based access controls and audit logs streamlined compliance reporting and reduced the burden on IT.

The elimination of weak, reused, and compromised passwords improved our overall security posture. We no longer waste time on password resets or manual credential updates, productivity has increased, and security risks have decreased across the board.

For organizations prioritizing both security and user experience, 1Password delivers a comprehensive solution that scales from individual users to large enterprises.

The platform’s depth of features, extensibility, and focus on real-world workflows make it a standout in the crowded password manager market.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about 1Password is how effortlessly it keeps all my passwords secure and organized without ever slowing me down. The interface is clean and intuitive, so I don’t have to waste time figuring things out. Plus, the seamless syncing across all my devices gives me peace of mind knowing I always have access, no matter where I am.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I’ve noticed is that the initial setup can feel a bit time-consuming, especially if you have a lot of passwords to import. Also, the subscription cost might be a bit high for some, but honestly, the security and convenience make it worth it

1Password is a great solution for the digital world

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is extremely simple and easy to understand. All my apps, websites and places where I frequently sign-in have come under one window and I no longer have to worry about storing my passwords in a safe place - digital or offline.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit steep. Also, at first, I was a little hesitant about using the service, since the tech behind 1password is a little difficult to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are mainly 3 things that are being solved:
1. Worrying about creating strong and therefore different passwords for different places to sign-in.
2. Worrying about data breach because of weak credentials.
3. Worrying about storing different passwords in one place and then also guarding that place - be it offline or online.
