The easiest way to handle your safety

  • March 15, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The password generation, because it makes me not to worry for my intensity of my key. I really appreciate the manner in which the tool handles all confidential data and how other users can cooperate securely with you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often it is difficult to identify individual websites where a login type exists. Often it appears that an unlocked password screen are froze and it is not quite clear that the primary password is typeable or not. Something thing I do not want is the incorporation of Chrome extension.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm sure with One Password that I use a highly protected password on any platform were I register here and I'm sure I do need to adjust the breached password unless a security breakdown occurs and the rest from my other login information are protected.

Flawless experience

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that one has suggestions to use as shortcuts for the most used sites. The autocompletion of the user and password makes the workflow of any login experience much smoother. The Secure Notes come in handy when working with sensitive data as well, preventing me from the possibility of losing a piece of paper I am writing on or simply leaving the physical thing at home and not having access to the information I need

Within my work environment, it is very easy to keep track where can I find the admin credentials to do things by myself instead of relying on an administrator for very mundane things.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the downsides I found is that the plugin gets locked back in pretty fast, needing to input my master password pretty frequently. Additionally, while this may come as from lack of UX knowledge, I fear sometimes that I will need to use accounts from devices where I don't have a 1Password installed, therefore I would have no idea what the password is. Having some tips sent via email on how to enhance that experience would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- the need to ever remember my password
- the need to come up with complex passwords
- the ease of having everything you need in one place, not needing to check out your phone notes, your google password, or call your daughter to remind you what password she put on your Facebook account
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To trust the software and use it to its full potential.

Awesome password manager with a steep learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
That it’s easy to Organise teams and give them the ability to clean up.
It’s easy to create a vault and give everyone the right profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one time Passwort is named badly, this is used to setup the 2-Factor auth and the tool that gives you the option to scan a QR code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing externals access to tools and without needing to create a lot of Zombie account in the long term.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your team is bigger than 5 or if you thinking about getting an Freelancer, you should. Especially if you are thinking of growing the team. The later you do it, the more you will struggle to make them use it.

1Password keeps us safe

What do you like best about the product?
1Password is a fantastic product. It integrates seamlessly into our workflow and enables us to enforce password policies, unique passwords and MFA across our organization. Their vaults for secure information storage are extremely helpful. We would not be able to function without their service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I am struggling to answer this question. I guess my biggest dislike is that the Ubuntu support is limited. I heard that a CLI is coming though which will be helpful indeed!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2Type2 compliance. Enhanced operational security. These are pretty big benefits :)

I've use 1Password since 1Password-1.0.9.333 (2011 switched from ZDPasswordPro)

What do you like best about the product?
In version 7+, I have really started to take advantage of multiple Vaults to store passwords by function so I can share with other team members. ie, Accounts Payable online accounts to retrieve invoices can be accessed by anyone in AP.
On my iPhone, it integrates well with my apps and enters current passwords and saves new ones on the fly.
I also use 1Password in my personal bookkeeping practice.
I also have a family account for my families personal use. I love the shared password for things like Netflix where my son changes the password without telling anyone, we can see the changes in the shared item.
I also love the custom fields and notes. Makes tracking security questions and answers very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 10 character minimum for your Master Password. I have customers who I have recommended 1Password to that have a hard time coming up with a good 10 character pass code.
I have taken to extend the log-out time so I am not constantly having to relog when I am working. If I leave my computer, it locks in 5 minutes and locks 1Password as well.
Additions of bio-metric authentication is a great alternative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have hundreds of passwords across a dozen devices that need to be kept up to date and accessible by those team members who need them for their job. 1Password makes that happen without having to do too much 'management'. It's clean, simple, and effective.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a password manager, there are many out there. Try as many as you want, but don't buy/subscribe to anyone else until you have used 1Password. It will probably be the last password manager I will ever use. They are constantly improving it and are eager to talk about any ideas you might have as well.

Good solution, albeit with a long learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
once it's up and running I have found 1password to be a much more secure and useful way to store passwords
What do you dislike about the product?
the UX of the platform is confusing and not user friendly- not intuitive. Also, there should be written materials on removing passwords from chrome/safari since that's a reality for most users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
shared passwords for certain logins, better business security, more seamless offboarding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just be proactive about education - I do believe people will appreciate this tool once they learn it but learning it is difficult

Comprehensive and trusted repository for secrets

What do you like best about the product?
Between browser integration on the desktop, and integration in iOS/Android, 1Password provides a very low barrier to provide secure storage for regular people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure there needs to be a distinction between "Passwords" and "Logins".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We store far more than just passwords in 1Password. Credit cards, encryption keys, documents. This has made it very easy to share these items among our team.

1Password helps keep our company secure

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to separate into Vaults is helpful; random, memorable password generation is also great
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any features I dislike in 1Password
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure password storage....giving external contractors access to a specific vault. The ability to delegate certain users to different vaults.

1Password Review

What do you like best about the product?
The Browser Add-on is very convenient to use, as well as useful for storing credentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the application could integrate with AD for credentials that would be a bonus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing service account credentials, in a shareable way. Keeping track of credentials in a convenient and secure way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize it right away. Some users have been using it for 10+ years and still love it.

Consistently brilliant

What do you like best about the product?
Beyond the obvious benefits of a password manager, 1Password provides a simple and clean interface that drastically reduces the time spent securely logging in to services. I've used 1Password for over 5 years and it has continued to improve in every area: shared password vaults for our team, guest members to temporarily share credentials, watchtower to warn you of exposed/vulnerable password and the unobtrusive yet powerful browser extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using 1Password on iOS devices works although the process is not as seamless and easy as it is on desktop devices, although this is largely due to iOS limitations rather than development choices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use case is to securely share credentials for shared services throughout our team. However, we have also ingrained password security within the team by encouraging the use of 1Password for all credentials not only shared ones.
