Smooth experience and great functionalities

  • November 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password offers a secure interface. It implements usefull functionalities and reports (e.g. watchtower, where you can see if passwords have been in a breach; Domain breach report lets the admin check email address within the company to see which email addresses have been exposed in a breach; guest sharing; document sharing; ...)
Starting to use 1Password was very straightforward for us, and the onboarding of new colleagues goes very smooth.
Contact with customer succes and with support is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, there is no straight forward way to share passwords with individuals, or within teams.
There are some workarounds, but not ideal. Currently, there is no way to share credentials for a limited time (e.g. with a client).
Currently no integration with MS Teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure workplace where password aren't written down, reused or too straightforward.
Different teams have their own Vault, so credentials are only shared on a need to know basis.
As we work both on Mac and Windows computers, a cross-platform solution is a necessity for us.
Due to great browser support, we lose less time with copy-pasting credentials.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
After some reviews of other solutions, we felt 1Password packed the best functionalities for our needs, at an affordable price.

MAKES ME FEEL SAFE AND AT THE SAME TIME, SMART.

  • November 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. I like not thinking or having to go to a spreadsheet and worry that some bad actor can find the same spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't understand the difference between "Private" and "Personal". I didn't set it up correctly at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conserving time and frustration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great to have everything in one place and at the same time share passwords with those who need them. The price is right. This G2 questionnaire has less to be desired. If I get another error and it erases my answers again, I'm going to recommend to my coworkers not to to the survey.

What do you like best about the product?
I only have to remember 1 password, secured
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime's the site I need to access have policy of expiring my password after a certain period of time, then I don't remember the original password to change to a new password
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am old and forgetful, I don't like writing password or using password to all my sensitive account, like bank and other personal stuff. I have different passwords for those and it's hard not to not forget which is which

If you manage a team, you need 1Password!

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to set up different levels of access. Onboarding and offboarding team members and giving them access to tools is easy peasy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any cons. I really enjoy using 1Password and it's a much better tool than anything else I have tried, especially if you handle teams that need different levels of access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each of our departments has access to what they need and ONLY what they need. We are not under nor oversharing password access with anyone. 1 Password allows us to tailor permissions to a tee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you handle a team, this is the best software to administer different access levels.

Simple, secure and very easy to use

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use across all of my windows, mac, and android devices and the integration with Duo to ensure it is even more secure. Logging in with biometric information also adds to the ease of use for all staff. Management of all the vaults is straightforward and the ability to share passwords with a few select people outside of the organisation has proven to be a very useful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The windows experience is not quite as slick as the mac experience although it doesn't seem to be impaired functionally. The only other quirk I've noticed and has been pointed out by a few users is that when authenticating with Duo it closes the 1Password window so requiring you to log in a 2nd time to access the password they're after.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to ensure all staff are equipped with the right tools to protect the business and ensures that we can satisfy all requirements of being PCI and GDPR compliant. This password management solution has proven to particularly effective in demonstrating to the board the importance of investing in security. The fringe benefits of Watchtower were great at the assessment stage in showing the board how some of their own habits were adding extra risk into the organisation. I've always found it particularly beneficial that the use of any new software is driven from the top down and in this particular case it worked perfectly
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a Mac heavy environment then go for it, your users will thank you for it.

Life changing password manager

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Perhaps "life changing" sounds like hyperbole when describing a password manager, but in this case it's entirely accurate. If I had to distill down to one aspect of 1Password that I like best, I would say it's the experience of using day to day. Filling in password, credit card, and personal information fields is so seamless and the integration with browsers so tight, that you start to take 1password for granted, which I think is the hallmark of well designed software, and a very difficult thing to achieve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally 1password doesn't do a great job when setting up new password entries pulling from login forms, or updating an existing password. Also the experience when creating a password entry on mobile isn't amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to solve a multitude of problems, including: making it easy to have a unique strong password for every account in use, making it easy to use one-time-password's / 2FA / MFA credentials, allowing passwords and other secret information to be securely shared within a team, providing essentially a cross-device bookmark manager of all the internet services I use, securely storing personal information (including bank accounts, insurance accounts, credit cards, etc) and making available on my mobile device and sharing with my family. The benefits I've realized include solving all of the above, allowing me to not rely on the printed out list of accounts and passwords that I used to use, ensuring my online accounts are as secure as possible, and my providing my family with easy and secure access to important online accounts.

Best tool to save passwords and share they securely using browsers and Mobile applications

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Ability to save passwords in vaults
- Ability to share passwords
- Ability to integrate with browsers
- - Easy access via Mobile applications
- Can set privileges to vaults
- Can save login credentials / files / URL's / passwords
- Its integration will help us in logging into our application on a click
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing such as of now. We are enjoying using 1 Password and I personally did not encounter any issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional ways of saving and generating a new password were replaced with 1Password. One can enjoy its services and it will make things very much simple !
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- 1Password at work place will save lot of time because we deal with many things and remembering every credential or storing them at different place is not advisable.
- Just use it and it will save lot of time . Moreover its secured

Good for most use cases

  • November 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Encrypted on the backend, and easy to use on the front-end. Additionally, it's extremely easy to use 2FA from right within the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
For business use, it can be a little bit of a challenge, as it's really designed for individual/family use as opposed to business management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT Password management for teams not able to fully leverage single sign-on. This has removed password protected excel files with lists of passwords, etc. across the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would certainly recommend to others for personal or small team use. Not necessarily an enterprise application, but it's also not designed to be managed as such.

The Most Essential Piece of Software on my Workstation

  • November 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The true value of 1Password is that it removes my hesitation to cut security and privacy corners. With 1P I feel empowered to create a million accounts everywhere. I feel free to ignore sign-in integration services that "save time" in exchange for lower security and privacy. I feel enabled to change any potentially compromised credentials without fear of forgetting deeply memory-ingrained passwords. I feel free to make passwords very hard to crack even though they would be extremely challenging to memorize.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are truthfully not many ways I could think of to improve 1Password, but I do wish it were slightly easier to inject items into others' vaults. But I'm an exceptional use-case in that I have a legacy grandfathered private account and am also an admin for a 1Password for Teams account on top of that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password for Teams has solved several business problems at my data analytics company. In addition to increasing enterprise security across the board by enabling our employees to build stronger credentials, it's also aided in shortening the new hire on-ramp, retaining knowledge from exiting staff, and easing several common IT administrative workflows like integrating new software packages for which each team member must be assigned and distributed a unique set of credentials.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The biggest obstacle to a successful implementation of any password manager in the enterprise is employee engagement / technical savviness. Think about what will be asked of your userbase and the kinds of questions you are likely to receive. Ensure that you will be able to get your users far enough along best practices to leverage such a tool to a worthwhile return.
