Smooth Experience - Step By Step Guidance
What do you like best about the product?
CJ Bergs provided exceptional guidance and support throughout our SOC 2 compliance process. She walked us through each step in detail, clearly explaining the requirements and what we needed to provide. We were never left to figure things out on our own—her consistent communication and weekly check-ins ensured we stayed on track and made steady progress. Her expertise, proactive approach, and commitment to our success made the entire process far smoother and less daunting than we anticipated.
What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't encounter any issues or areas of concern. Our experience was a positive one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a startup, we recognized the need to obtain our SOC 2 certification but lacked the in-house expertise and resources to manage the process effectively. Scytale provided the guidance and support we needed, enabling our small team to navigate the requirements with confidence. Their structured approach and expert assistance allowed us to achieve compliance efficiently without diverting significant time and resources from our core operations.

What do you like best about the product?
It was efficient and quick to work with Scytale. Their platform has a whole suite of valuable integration to make quick work of a ISO or a SOC 2 framework. Our Account Manager CJ Bergs has been excellent in managing our partnership and helping getting us certified.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly cost. We have moved away from Scytale for this reason. Competitor offered much better rates

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can focus exactly on my role and the required deliveries instead of dealing with the extra work related to creating the supporting system (application).

SOC2 certification process was never easier
What do you like best about the product?
As a devops engineer and as a former IT manger, I was responsible for certifying several companies to SOC2. The hours I spent on data collection, then processing it and filing it correctly, were the most excruciating thing in this process.
I was lucky to start working in a company that was wise enough to use a service provider like Scytale, that helps make this process much easier.
Scytale offers a platform that integrates with the most important systems for the certification (HR tools, AWS, Bitbucket, etc). With Scytale, you are also assigned with a person (in my case - the amazing CJ Bergs who was profession, friendly, informative and was available to any question, both difficult and silly) who guides you through the process, and on the audit day itself.
The kick-off was easy, friendly, and clear. I felt like I was accompanied throughout the process, and felt ready before, during and after the audit.

I really have nothing bad to say about Scytale, they really helped me and I'm very satisfied with their services. I would recommend it to anyone who is planning to go through such a process.

Answer questions - SOC2 compliance process is complicated and tricky - and Scytale gives you an address, someone you can contact and consult at any time.
Technically, Scytale's platform enables you to gather data you need for the audit much easier - it's integrated with many important systems, and also gives you ways to interact internally with your company's employees for the certification (for example - internal training and policies)

Great team and easy to use system
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked most about working with Scytale was how well their team, especially Jess, supported us through the ISO 27001 certification process. Jess was fantastic to deal with — knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful.
The process itself was long and, at times, a bit of a slog. But Scytale made it as smooth and manageable as possible. One standout feature was their platform's ability to integrate with many of our existing systems for automatic log collection. That saved us a heap of time and made the compliance process far more efficient.
Overall, their support and tooling made a complex job feel achievable.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one challenge we had was the time zone difference. Since Scytale is based in South Africa, it made scheduling a bit tricky from Australia. It wasn’t a dealbreaker by any means, but it did occasionally slow things down or require a bit of back-and-forth to find suitable meeting times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale helped us solve the challenge of getting our information security processes in order to meet ISO 27001 standards. Before working with them, it felt like a massive, complex task with too many moving parts. Their platform and guidance gave us structure, clarity, and momentum.
The biggest benefit was how much they simplified the process. Their integrations saved us a huge amount of manual effort by automatically collecting evidence from the systems we already use. It meant we could stay focused on improving our actual security posture rather than getting bogged down in admin.

Nothing, they work as an excellent team.

They created a simple application mechanism for managing all the SOC 2 audits, which made this challenge easier.
The platform is remarkably user-friendly and their support team is top-tier (especially Tom).

the interface is intuitive, dashboards are clear, and evidence collection is largely automated (lots of intergations). I love how it turns the complex compliance landscape into a digestible, even pleasurable journey

The price. it's not cheap but it worth it

Mostly feels unpolished, some quirks with some of the pages and weird behaviour (For example, requiring me to download the employees csv, edit it and re upload it to update the list employees)

What do you like best about the product?
Using Scytale has been a generally positive experience. The platform stands out for its ease of use—the interface is intuitive, and navigating through compliance tasks is straightforward even for first-time users. I also appreciated the ease of implementation. Getting started was fast, and the onboarding process was well-structured, helping us hit the ground running with minimal confusion.
One of the key strengths is customer support. The team is responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to resolve questions or issues. It feels like they genuinely care about your success and compliance journey. JESS IS THE BEST!!!

What do you like best about the product?
Throughout our ISO 27001 journey with the team at Scytale we have received professional and knowledgeable guidance. We had to implement quite a few controls from scratch and the Scytale team provided us with ready to you templates and their integration with various tools allowed us to choose the correct support application to fill the gaps within our organisation. The platform is user friendly and details exactly what evidence is required to complete our audit.
