First time doing compliance in a new startup
What do you like best about the product?
The combination of an actual product that helps to save time and effort with professional services like our GRC manager Mischa Boddenberg that helps to expedite things even more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could have used more integration with 3rd party tools in order to automate the evidence collection event more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly reusablitiy, the fact that I can reuse a lot of the work I did in some compliance framework in others is very important.
Also that I reuse parts from last year into next year is very helpful

Friendly and expert guidance
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale's platform was very nice to use. It provided all the structure and organisation we needed to tackle our compliance goals in one place. The integrations and automated evidence collection and mapping was a great feature and saved us a lot of time and effort. The best part however was the friendly and expert guidance we received from our compliance manager Mischa Boddenberg. He was a wealth of knowledge and support and has been invaluable on our compliance journey! Thanks Mischa!
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to tag ppl in comments if we wanted them to get an email notification which meant sometimes ppl didn't see comments if someone forgot to tag them. This was a minor issue which can hopefully be fixed at some stage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't know where to begin with compliance before and felt we were really out of our depth. Using Scytale helped get us organised and laid out our compliance journey into small achievable steps. Having all the tools and documents we needed in one place made managing everything much more straightforward too.
Scytale helped us to get our SOC2 Type 2.
What do you like best about the product?
Their customer support is the best. Always on top of every question I got. Laura was a great compliance partner

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Get ready for SOC2 Type 2 audits.
Professional interactions with steady progress and quick followup of any issues. Solid experience.
What do you like best about the product?
Standard work flow. Ronan layed out the process in an easy to understand way and we moved efficiently from step to step without confusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only potential issue was time zone differences however this had little impact on us as we found a time slot that worked for all partners.

Making the compliancy process easy
What do you like best about the product?
The platform takes a lot of manual labour out of your hands and together with our CSM Mischa it's been a very smooth process to get our compliancy on track. Mischa has a lot of knowledge about the process and requirements and helps us getting ready for the audit. It's great to see the ongoing development of the platform with new features being released to make things easier for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform still has some rough edges but they're clearly working on it. We were hoping for a few more integrations to get started but they are at least on the roadmap and being worked on.
The policy editor works fine, but when exporting to PDF the layout shifts and this could definitely use some love.

Working with Scytale and Mischa, my SCM, has been an outstanding experience.

Getting the ISO 27001 + GDPR compliance I need
Exceptional value and impeccable service
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale is an excellent option for any SaaS business that's looking to sort out their ISO compliance at a reasonable price.
Laura and the team were amazing from day one — they clearly explained the process, laid out expectations, answered all of our questions, and smoothly guided us through everything, in what could otherwise have been a fairly daunting process. Provided that your organisation is willing to dedicate resources to the process, put in the work, and openly collaborate with the Scytale team — you can definitely expect it to be quite a smooth process.
Their platform was modern, and had excellent integrations with our internal tech-stack, and even supported some edge cases that, for example, competitors like Vanta (which cost muc more) didn't. Setting up the integrations took less than a day for us to do. Their support staff were also extremely accommodating and helpful in answering our questions.
Ultimately, we were able to get our ISO certification on-time (barring one minor delay, which wasn't anyone's fault — and was addressed to our satisfaction by Laura and the team) and on-budget.
Finally, huge kudos to Laura, Liam and the rest of the Scytale team for everything.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall — we loved Scytale! However, do keep in mind that compliance is a resource intensive process for any org (regardless of whether Scytale or any other consultancy is there). HOWEVER, if you are willing to put in the effort, and engage with Scytale's team (who are there to help you out), you will have a much easier time.
Some improvement areas:
There's a bit of iffy UX at certain places in the Scytale platform — but nothing major (besides, what platform doesn't have these). I'm confident that the platform will get even better in the future — I could see that improvements were already being made to various aspects during our ISO process.
Also, we did use Scytale for pentesting, and the timelines/ communication their pentesting division was a bit slow at times — but, our collaboration with the ISO / compliance division was 100% solid and recommended without any hesitation.

Scytale was instrumental in helping our SaaS company achieve ISO 27001 certification in just 3 months while other consultants told us it took 6 months or even 1 year! From the outset, their consultant was professional and proactive, guiding us through every step of the process with clear expertise. Their online platform streamlined everything, making it easy to manage documentation and track progress. We highly recommend Scytale to any organization seeking a smooth and efficient path to ISO 27001 certification.

Also already very good, we would like even more integrations with other solutions to automate more the collection of evidence.
