Seamless and effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale is easy to use and understand. Once you get familiar with the features, its seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notes section could be more helpful. We took some time to figure out how it worked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale got us SOC2 and HIPAA compliance ready. It has been great working with Scytale team to get SOC 2 compliant. Robyn Ferreira made the entire experience seamless.
Professional and accommodating
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is quite useful and comprehensive, especially features like integrations, policy templates, to-do list, audit tracker and ability to communicate with our account manager via comments around specific policies and controls.
Speaking of which, our account manager Robyn Ferreira is incredibly professional, intelligent and patient, as well as able to adapt to our circumstances and offer support and hands-on assistance when needed.
The same can be said about our first success manager, Mr. Merton Nortem

What do you dislike about the product?
As a company that is undergoing the SOC2 Type 2 process for he first time, there are multiple controls, policies, procedures and terms that we come across for the very first time.
The platform do better at explaining and clarifying things sufficiently, which will make navigating controls and policies challenging and time-consuming with an added risk that we get something wrong which in turn will have an adverse affect on the audit.
In our case, the weekly hand-holding session is somewhat insufficient for clarifying everything and ensuring that we stay on track.
Having said, for orgs that are familiar with compliance audits, Scytale makes it a walk in the park.

Love their easy-to-use compliance automation platform that makes navigating your project simple and streamlined. Couldn’t have asked for a better tool to fast-track our audit process and enable us to achieve our compliance objectives in a record-breaking time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One or two technical speed bumps but they got solved quickly.

Scytale transforms the traditional, overwhelming and tedious compliance workflows into something super manageable, even for people that have limited knowledge on information security.

What do you like best about the product?
This combination of tech and consultancy is just the perfect mix, especially for SaaS startups. Really friendly and helpful support from the staff.

The vast integration capabilities to all relevant tools made the process very efficient for collecting automated evidance and managing the process on a day to day basis.
Additionally, working along side Oron Nachmany, our compliance success expert was very productive and helped us to better understand how to build and operate security requirements and processes regarding all the different regulations our company is facing world wide, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA.
All of the above makes the preperation and the audits themselves smooth and flawless.
The vast integration capabilities to all relevant tools made the process very efficient for collecting automated evidance and managing the process on a day to day basis.

I would have liked if the training and HR modules would have more capabilities to provide a complete solution.

I like their approach with a default set of policies and tasks to get ISO 27.001 certified
As a customer you don't have to "invent the wheel". You can review the default policies and make the adjustments needed for your organization.
The product also comes with a set of tasks that you need to execute to become certified.
Their approach with a customer success manager is really helpful. The weekly meeting with the CSM makes it way easier for you to do the implementation.
What is also nice is that they have built-in integrations with major platforms (like google, bitbucket, salesforce) for monitoring these platforms for security issues. This makes your life a lot easier.

The product has a feature for risk management. You can manage the security risks inside the platform. For each risk you need to put in place the mitigations.
Unfortunately once you have added the mitigations, you do not have the ability to edit them.
I have submitted a feature request and they promised to solve it by the end of Q2 2024.

The process we went through until receiving ISO approval would not have been possible without Scytale.
Besides the guidance of their team, their user-friendly system, policy management, risk assessments, and training courses made the process much easier and faster. This helped us to focus on the important tasks and minimized the need to learn the requirements of ISO standards.
The real-time progress tracking us to see the full picture and complete the required tasks on schedule.
I will recommend Scytale to any company that is required to comply with any security standard.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to think of what I didn't like about working with Scytale, but if it is still required, then there is room for implementing support of Google Docs links to documents instead of the need to upload document files.
