What do you like best about the product?
Best in the class solution. Quite easy to use, great customer support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the event of a security incident on an end-user computer, we can protect the information stored there.

One of the downsides was the search function but the new update to the website recently made that a lot easier to navigate.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact of being able to track the device in real-time and know the exact location as well as the network data it is using at the moment. A crucial factor in case of loss (which has been happening very frequently). Another very important point that makes it worth using Absolute is the fact that it remains trackable even if someone tries to format it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be possible to delete a device when it is no longer part of our IT infrastructure. You should also review the bulk integration files to allow adding some attribute to devices with the same criteria. I opened a ticket discussing this possibility, but it has not been answered so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recovered two pieces of equipment that had been stolen; it was possible to encrypt the disks of all the equipment in the park; we have managed to deploy several applications of our interest... and much more!
Secure Protection for Endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
Absolutes automation services are what really makes it stand out. Geo-tracking is extremely important, and when a system leaves the fenced area, we can have it frozen nearly immediately automatically. Additional plans even allow Absolute to regularly validate your security stack installed on end clients to make sure that it is installed, and up to date. All of this is extremely important in a world where more and more workers are remote or travelling.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far the only downside we have had is with getting the agents to check in initially. There is also sometimes a delay between when the system is detected outside of the geofence, and when that is reported to Absolute. It most has to do with the interval of the data transmission, and the Absolute team has been great at working with us on improving this service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to ensure that the data on our systems does not leave the United States. Absolute's geo-fence helps to facilitate this with geo-gencing and the ability to remotely freeze devices so that the data is not accessable.
We currently have additional plans to use the remote wipe feature to ensure extra security measures are met when scrapping hardware that will no longer be used.

What do you like best about the product?
The product just works and the support via chat or ticketting system is quick and thorough. The ability to either create custom device freeze policies for different departments as well as being able to remotely wipe or lock down devices, is a management day dream! I can't imagaine us without Absolute software!
What do you dislike about the product?
The migration from their older GUI to the newer one is a bit slow, looking forward to when all of the features are available via the new platform and that everything looks the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint compliance, security and auditing. Absolute software gives us a single source of truth as well as peice of mind regarding our physical end-user devices.

Ability to setup resiliency for Windows Endpoints for when the MDM agent or other tools are removed

At this point, no dislikes are to be reported.

We are still imaging Windows via MDT, and with that the devices are able to leave management by removing the MDM Agent. With resilience setup, MDM Agent will reinstall and enroll the device.

With pinpoint accuracy, Absolute ensures that even if a laptop goes missing in the field, it can be located and recovered.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback users may find with Absolute is that pushing powershell commands to the laptops doesn't work. This aspect could further enhance the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product not only provides peace of mind but also serves as a powerful deterrent against potential threats, making Absolute an indispensable asset for securing our laptops.

View into computer fleet. nice to have easy inventory and deploy scripts.

No remote capability into computers. This is a BIG miss for me.
