Very easy to use

The linking of all processes and tasks together

The link between all of our systems for tasks to run smoothly
RunMyJobs is the most reliable, dependable scheduling software we have ever used.
What do you like best about the product?
RunMyJobs is very flexible and once you set a job chain up it runs like clockwork. One of my favorite features is the custom calendars that allow you to run jobs only when you want them to. It doesn't have to be daily, weekly or monthly only.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where there could be some improvement is the help. I would like to see more examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented a new system last year and the business users had to run tasks manually. We were able to create some standard processes that could be used over and over with just different parameters to automate over 100 manual tasks which saved the users from having to work nights and weekends.

We like the error notifications when a process fails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting from a filter does not give us all the information that we want.

I don't have a problem at this time.

Redwood allows us to chain jobs that run in our data warehouse through to jobs in our analytics layer so that users always get the latest available data in their reporting and analytics
This software has made a huge difference in management of our Qlik environment

I like the way that scheduling non dependent tasks can be managed for optimal use of our resources

So far, nothing, Redwood has improved our management

Excellent Job Scheduling Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very simple and intuitive to use. There is alot of power in the options built in to create anything from simple schedules to very complex ones with very little complexity in the process.

The online help can be difficult to navigate but the support team are excellent and more than makeup for it.

Allows us to chain jobs together from various systems and build in dependencies which otherwise wouldn't be there.

Redwood software has less coding/scripting with faster performance and delivery of business.
Everything in redwood has documentation from job definitions, reports, monitoring dashboards etc has documentation.
New documents can be created by uploading the content file to fulfill business needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Redwood software can be understood with less automation knowledge, such as been its built in design, quality and features.
Personally i would like to work with redwood software more and more as we can explore more specifications and options of it.
only thing which bothers us more is for any kind of integration with snow it takes lot of time and R&D to implement in production system.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the beginning when we started using redwood software from scratch there was limited options and features to import/export jobs, schedule jobs etc. Later we made few enhancement works in redwood to make it more reliable, where we didnt find any difficulty in doing any of the enhancements.
Now redwood is solving most of the problems which we were facing in SAP system ( keeps job stats for more number of days compared to sap using retention period option. downloads joblog and spool-list to analyse job related issue etc).

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Redwood software has excellent automation intelligence and centralized unit to control the workflow of all the 3rd party jobs. So i recommend redwood to others who are exactly looking for these features.
Redwood contains history, auditing , monitoring data etc of executed work.
What do you like best about the product?
Can retrieve support files for each killed/error, completed, and schedule job. Which helps in finding the root cause of the failed job and seeking assistance from the redwood support team.
each job has its own diagram, when we edit the diagram we can see job realted information and its parameters. One additional feature which redwood has is we can add personal note to each of the job , so its visible to larger group of in house redwood team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Redwood has all execllent features to drive the business and its workload, Except monitoring dashboard. Redwood monitoring dashboard doesnt have the option to add killed status,event held status and we cant get any exact number for these status. which we need to manually fetch by submitting a report and downloading it in excel sheet. My suggestion is to improving this will make redwood even more reliable.

Redwood automation is running our business and helps to run 3rd party jobs as well. All 3rd party systems are connected through RFC connection string and j2ee url.
Username and password is maintained in SAP system ecc_prd in XBP rules. validation of connection is checked here and all XBP event control rules are added in this tab.
Redwood also have system server. where system related batch job runs to update job statistics , delete job files,ignored alert report etc.

Redwood is best automation software currently in industry market. So check with redwood team about latest build version and its features and go for it. As Redwood provides best support.

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost i liked the look and feel of the redwood user interface and also implemented its custom format types where jobs/data can be region-dependent.
We can add objects to our custom navigation bar for quick access.

What do you dislike about the product?
Redwood comes up with best quality features to control and maintain batch jobs. Rather than writing SQL scripts or importing just CAR files, my sugesstion is to add more of drag and drop options, show detailed diagram structure of job which will save time and user doesnt find difficulty in handling redwood.

There are different set of parameters which contains different options to schedule a job, Such as print parameters ,archieve parameters, recipient parameters, job output parameters all these are helpful in setting up a job in redwood.
In parameters we have SAP system name to be mentioned, SAP client , SAP job class, username etc to get in synchronised with SAP ECC job parameters.after setting up a job summary tab shows the detailed information about the job run date and time for mentioned region/country.
