Redwood software fulfills top level management functions.
What do you like best about the product?
Redwood tool does organising, monitoring, controlling, and scheduling all jobs and activities.
Redwood software holds the overall control of work performance.
In Redwood, we can configure all types of functional application jobs like PI, FI, MFG, SC, BW, BODS etc.
Redwood also contains documentation of each job and its history and statistics. where all of these are limited in some other automation tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
Redwood has all new features and advanced technology. In redwood, we can run a job on an Adhoc basis or we can schedule a job for future dated runs. But we can't write a logic to run a job with past dates. As far as my opinion apart from this every other option in redwood works very well and runs our business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we do retain job and its statistics for certain period of time by choosing the retention period.
Whenever we want to configure and schedule a job in redwood and its run should not happen currently or in future , we choose hold on submit which is an option to hold the jobs until all the parameters are entered properly and all user requirements are satisfied.

Redwood login credentials are created by the admin and the admin has the right to restrict the user accessibility by choosing preferred scheduler options like scheduler-bae-only-user,scheduler-business-user, scheduler-event-operator, scheduler-job administrator etc are some of the main user accessibility.

Nothing to look into negative shades of Redwood. As it is already providing its best with everything it has from inbuilt features and options to external support help, Redwood has shown best-in-class operational excellence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Redwood has got so many in-built features and specifications that can solve modern-day problems. Having pre-defined system timezones, time windows , submit frames, periodic functions can schedule any job in redwood.
Managing multiple ERP interfaces from one centralized software happens only in the redwood automation tool.
We do write simple SQL queries to clear past runs and stats of redwood jobs and also to create a filter where we can check job runs from date and to date.

Redwood Software is event-driven process automation and scheduling tool that is useful for workload balancing as well as solving complex problems in a short duration of time.
It is one of the best tools in the market for scheduling jobs with different Frequencies as well as for monitoring.
Redwood Software is Tightly coupled with ERP to solve the problems in a systematic way.
Redwood software provides different functionalities like Keyword search, fuzzy search etc. as well as the symbols for the event raised, event cleared, warning, and message.

I never noticed any dislike qualities in Redwood software as of now. but sometimes we face issues in integration and deployment.

In redwood, there are many permutations and combinations for running, scheduling and killing jobs apart from this we have the option to put jobs on hold and pause the status.
One of the best things about redwood is we can easily transport the job from the SAP system to the Legacy System or vice versa.
Many filters are available in redwood for searching or extracting jobs from multiple jobs. with the help of filters, we can easily track the killed, error, and long-running Jobs.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool helps us to schedule and monitor the jobs related to SAP modules like FI, MM, SD, HR etc. It also provides the cancellation, start, and restart of the process for the running jobs at the same time as per the business requirements. As per the monitoring perspective, we can easily track the status of the job and if any error is countered we can easily solve that issue by the given familiar functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
According to me, there is no dislike point or comment because redwood is already doing a great job in the automation tool sector. For the first-time installation, we need a good amount to install the redwood in our organisation. Apart from this, I don't have any dislike point as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best key point about redwood is that we can keep multiple module jobs in a single platform i.e. APPLICATION TAB. It is very familiar and easy to use for everyone whether it is an expert consultant or a fresher.
In Redwood, we can easily check/track all the running jobs in the system at the same time if there is any failure/ error found we can resolve that with the help of their related SAP module functional member as well as also able to check the status of completed jobs on time.

Redwood is now working to deliver global 24*365 customer support, which helps to get a quick response if any issue is caused.

All Redwood batch jobs consist of documentation that has all the details such as change date, description, requested by, business process stream, functional owner and business owner which are very useful for users when changes are made to jobs.
Redwood also shows all the parameters of the jobs like which sap system environment the job currently scheduled, SAP job count, SAP job class , variant etc.So for any job-related information, we need not login into the SAP system or 3rd party system to check for its configuration as everything is already present in redwood and modifications can be made directly in redwood and its effect will take place in the SAP system from its next run.

In redwood all job related information can be accessed and downloaded including job spool list, job statistics ,application logs etc which is actually an added advantage for the user to check and analyse the job related issue.
But when i check operator messages there are lot of messages stuck in the queue like couldnt send alert mail to few recipents and the job log has size limit. these are very minor things to look into but if this issues are also fixed Redwood will be in great position.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We carry out monthly patching activity on Redwood system, during that we use script to clean up past runs and its statistics. and safely hold the queue so there is no job running during patching activity. Redwood is super fast and so is the job completion run time. Most of the jobs complete within 10 secs which shows the efficiency of Redwood.

What do you like best about the product?
Redwood's interface is user-friendly. Renewal of the redwood license can be done using the script by just copying text from the .text file from begin license to end license. We can set auto-refresh timing in redwood, which refreshes the current page as well as the job status during time interval. clicking on "I" button at the top right corner provides the information of the version we are using, online help through documentation as well as help support are the eye catching of redwood software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There might be some actions which we cant perform in redwood which is actually negotiable like performing some of the actions on jobs/objects is restricted due to security policy or the duplication of job definition/process is not possble.
Redwood only allows us to write SQL queries/ scripts which might sometimes lack in fulfilling user requirement.

It is easy to edit the scheduled job, but should be careful in selecting edit the recurrance or edit the current process.
we can add as many queue of our choice to distinguish the connection between different objects like we have HCM queue, GTG queue, CRM queues etc which makes life easier for redwood user.
for Jsox audit purpose every month we retrive failed job report through xml file and also can download any report of our choice.

It is a centralized control system for SAP EP7 batch jobs. In redwood, jobs can be scheduled in the most efficient way with some actions associated with the jobs like we can restart, resubmit, kill, cancel, edit, held, release, and enable/disable the scheduled job in just a click.
Everything in the Redwood system can be stopped or started, held or released, enable or disabled just by a click.
There is no need to stop the process server until there is a major issue but instead can stop the specific queues in which the jobs have been affected/facing issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
It wasn't difficult for me to understand this tool, once I got good hands-on with this software everything was smooth and seamless. Only backdrop at the initial stages was for some of the event wait jobs even when the file is kept at the exact AL11 location we were forced to manually clear or raise the event to run the job normally. Later after seeking the support from Redwood support team we were able to sort this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are a total of 389+ jobs scheduled from Redwood and some jobs had a critical business impact so we segregated jobs with (high, medium and low priority jobs based on their business impact) Later leads decided to create incidents only for high priority jobs and tickets should be raised automatically in Service now portal. When working on this specific requirement i came across a priority level ..where we can set the priority level to 90+ or highest for high priority jobs and in-process alert sources using the rules tab we can set the variable as priority and operation equal to or in range and value we can set to 100. so when a high-priority job fails an automatic incident will be raised in SNOW.

Multiple tasks can be performed in Redwood software
What do you like best about the product?
Redwood is such a tool that users can perform multiple tasks at the same time while batch jobs are running at the background and reports can be downloaded and events can be triggered at the same time. Redwood jobs run using EP7 memory and doesn't relay on redwood server memory, so no jobs are stuck in the queue due to memory space issue.
One of the best automation tools to schedule 500 + jobs (in our project we have scheduled 390+ batch jobs in parallel without affecting the performance of redwood)

What do you dislike about the product?
From day one it has been very user-friendly and scalable. The only thing to improve is date-wise monitoring dashboard status check. It would have been better if we were able to retrieve date-wise or day-wise monitoring dashboard health, which would showcase the overall status of Redwood and its scheduled jobs. I suggest the Redwood team to work on this update.

One of the important advantage of redwood is we can narrow down the search of jobs by using filters and also using wildcard (*) of job definition.
Redwood software comes with high security protection. One such incident we came across is, there was an start up failure of redwood quality system where normal schedule it user was unable to login using credentails but was able to log in with admin credentials.

Redwood comes with pre defined options and features and reduces most of the workload on human . so its easy to setup Redwood system in any environment, i recommend others to go for redwood automation software.

What do you like best about the product?
Redwood software connects with most of the 3rd party systems. in our use case, it connects with the bods system, marc spectrum system, PI system etc. So the workflow/data flow from different systems is centralized at Redwood software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Redwood actually has all the updated features, options and script to run the asahi business. But there was an operator message i came across recently ( size of job log is 1551622 which exceeds the limit of 1048576. so job log is skipped). I understood that max limit for job log file is 1048576. this didnt cause much of an issue to any jobs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have different set of options to schedule jobs. if the job has dependency on another job we can schedule it in chains, if it has to pick particular data then it is schedule via event triggered jobs. This features enables to run jobs only when neccessary data is kept at al11 server.
Alerting options can be used to set different kind of alerts (ex: failed jobs, error jobs, long running etc) and also use wildcard option to select all job definition . so entire job list in Redwood will be selected for this alerting mails.
