Overall Experience of 10+ years in Workload Automation
What do you like best about the product?
The features of the tool is very easy. You can view all depedency in a single place, easily.
The way how the content was explained was intriguing.

What do you dislike about the product?
The chain editor needs a rework.
For example, in the dependency setting, we will not be able to flexibly join the jobs. Like, if JobA2 has to run after JobA1 and JobB2 has to run after JobB1 but A and B are independent of one another. Here, in the chain we cant do that directly, instead join STEP2(JobA2,JobB2) with STEP1(JobA1,JobB1).

It is as easy to work with the tool. Completely customizable and user-friendly.

Seamless integration with SAP products and effectiveness in execution. Also, many scripting for operational tasks are much easier.

API feature should ultimately provide flexibility with REST API

ERP use cases are predominantly executed and minimal platform jobs are being executed.

Great tool for process automation for both SAP and non-sap systems.
It provides many features tailored for SAP solutions for example for BW process chains.
You can learn to use REL (Redwood Expression Language) to unlock more scripting or configuration possibilities.
You can create support tickets via SAP launchpad.

The per connected system license can be quite pricey, if you want to create connections to many production systems.

BPA enabled our company to integrate our business processes across our SAP and non-SAP systems.
It provided also ease-of-use for system maintenance managment for IT.

What do you like best about the product?
Removes Background job responsibility from SAP. Helpful when needing jobs to be deactivated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to see released jobs from SM37

Ability to compartmentalize segments of our ERP in the event that's needed. Also "listening" to locations when a file needs processing
BPA is one of the best scheduling tool i ever worked on for SAP and non-SAP systems

Different ways of scheduling which is not available in any traditional applications. Saving lot of SLA times with the chain concept.

it needs restarts regularly as it runs in java where there is memory cache

if your organization of multiple dependent systems or applications then redwood is the best choice as scheduling tool

Being able to have a one-stop-shop for all of your batch jobs w/ active monitoring along w/ the mass activities functionality was an absolute necessity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the active monitoring module was part of the baseline product and not an add-on.

Our biggest item to solution for was the need to run mass activities
It is a excellent platform to control jobs in SAP.

The ability to stop and start jobs as necessary and finding the jobs is much easier than using SAP.

Upgrading Redwood is not easy and takes lot of time.

RunMyJobs is able to manage complex processes such as Utilities billing, orchestrating the processing across multiple platforms.

The reporting for automated processes needs improvement.
