RunMyJobs SaaS by Redwood
What do you like best about the product?
RunMyJobs is a very powerful solution but operates with ease. With it you can address more complex scheduling needs than available with other scheduling tools. It is compatible with a wide variety of platforms giving you a centralized system to coordinate your entire enterprise in one tool. Redwood also provides excellent customer support if and when you ever need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really have never found a downside to using Redwood for scheduling solutions, in fact I cant imagine trying to schedule with anything else anymore even though I have used other tools in the past. It handles everything we have ever thrown at it with ease.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use RMJ to run SAP jobs, file transfers from SAP to Windows servers where we also trigger batch scripts to encrypt/decrypt files, and transfer files to vendors. We also do the same process in reverse using RMJ to initiate batch scripts to reach out to vendors and pull in files that we move into SAP or other internal locations.
RMJ is the most reliable tool when compared to the other tools that i used before
What do you like best about the product?
Auto upgrade ,Cloud Based, Dashboard notifications
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say slight delay on the support contact during p1 issues. A chat enabled support would be much helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of our batches runs out of RMJ and we feel not much of unplanned outages in the past

We needed a solution for our batchprocessing which could be fully integrated with our existing applications based on Oracle-technology.

The flexibility and interoperability it offers is fantastic. We have multiple back-office applications utilizing RMJ 24 hours a day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Coming from the SAP side, none from my perspective. It is able to handle complicated scheduling runs and re-runs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having processes flowing through disparate applications, RMJ helps us orchestrate them in a manner that allows our enterprise to run smoothly and efficiently.
RMJ Usage

What do you dislike about the product?
Direct user interfaces to customize their sequence of running jobs may not be quite easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
be able to use RMJ across multiple landscapes.
a stable, reliable tool that provides a lot of functionality but it's still easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
stability and reliability. In 15 years of using Redwood software we never a single incident where "Redwood" caused a process disruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation and support is a bit hidden.
Sometimes I wish I could use google to find some info. In cases opening a support ticket does not seem to be necessary.
I think of an public, online user community / forum like this:

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are running nightly build processes on various OS platforms.
Those "build chains" typically execute septs like fetch sourcecode from a source code repository, trigger a build process and some deployment at the end.
Being able to build modular chains we can react on situations where the sourcecode versioning system gets replaced by another product, just with a few clicks in the chain editor.

Sucessfully working with Cronacle for 15 years

In our landscape of over 60 productive SAP systems a centralized job scheduling saves a lot of work. Very powerful handling of scheduling items as Time Windows and pre/post-conditions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usefull standard features (e.g. email notification, audit, reporting,...) should be included and not part of extra chargeable licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planing complex job chains across several SAP systems make job runtimes optimized and improves processes. We implemented automated SAP system maintenance chains that start/stop all components of a system and with workflows.
