What do you like best about the product?
The latest advancements with AI-powered agents for API creation help reduce workload and minimize human errors, making the development process smoother and more efficient. This adds another layer of value on top of the core strengths we already rely on, and it complements the platform’s ease of use. From real-world customer use cases, I’ve observed WSO2 API Manager handling high traffic loads seamlessly and reliably, which demonstrates its enterprise-grade scalability and stability.
What do you dislike about the product?
While WSO2 API Manager is a strong platform, there are areas where improvements could make the developer experience smoother. For example, policy management can be time-consuming since adjustments often require multiple edits or manual steps, and having a more streamlined policy editing console would be very beneficial. Additionally, when working with SOAP services, the platform does not expose the WSDL endpoint externally and instead attempts to handle all services as REST APIs. This makes it challenging to directly access or integrate with the underlying SOAP definition. Addressing these types of usability gaps with incremental enhancements and clearer tooling would greatly improve overall efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
WSo2 API manager helped me develop my API with the lowest effort possible to get my application talking to my data in the most efficient and easy way. Comparing with other API managers out there. This was really enjoyable to use
What do you dislike about the product?
The main con is that I don't think it offers a free trial to try it and see before actually purchasing the service. And also handling certificates can be improved for kubernetes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The API manager helps to very easily create an API with a simple looking interface and down to earth UX. I am able to be more productive on how to manage my APIs with this

It meets all the requirements when it comes to API management, it's a complete solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI/UX can be improved. Compared to other APIM platforms, WSO2 APIM UX is a bit complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an APIM platform for designing, publishing, monitoring, and managing APIs while developers focus only on the development part.
Easy to integrate and very developer friendly platform with a detailed documentation

Customer Service isn't Human Enough. Need good customer service to fix critical issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Wso2 API manager is mostly useful to secure our API's through applying police's.and we can publish our API's in the publisher portal,user can achieve the data after passing api gateaway police's.It is very usefull for managing the apis efficiently.It also provides both production and sandbox endpoint very efficient use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Starting time of the server is a bit long.Sometimes developer portal api's can't see in publisher portal.we have to refresh it.apart from these there are no drawbaks as per my point of view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wso2 API manager is useful to managing our own API's and add security with the help of rate limiting and throttling police's.By using this police's we can limit the number of requests hit to the api's by the user.we can also acheive good communication between customers and server by providing Api documentation in publisher portal.

It is very simple ,easy and you can configure it to any env with different different method & it's ui is very easy to use without any prior knowledge

Sometimes your apis will not show in ui .

It's solving api expose problem with there many configuration assets using ui

An enhanced user interface for managing the API lifecycle and for integrations, Optimization the API development life cycle.
What I like the most is the Revision option which gives an option to roll back to the previous version of the API definition.

Workflow configuration requires a lot of changes to the Product level, Like adding Email Templates for the Email notifications and SMS notifications are not able Out of the box, Which is required for API Management and review for the API Providers.
Configuring an External Identity server requires a lot of activities to be performed on both sides of the application, It has inconsistent Data synchronization.
Custom roles applying are syncing as required.
API Manager should provision SSL Offloading and SSL Bypassing at the API level to be performed where Backend needs to bypass the certificate.
