Intuitive Interface, Minor Scanning Glitches
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Cyera is to use. The user interface is very friendly and intuitive, so I don't have to search a lot to find the tools I need. It's particularly useful for seeing which users have the most sensitive data not stored properly. The ease of use was a major reason for switching from Varonis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes Cyera's scanning for databases gets stuck, and you need to contact the Cyera team to restart it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cyera to check the data at rest users store and see if sensitive data is not secured properly. It's intuitive and user-friendly, so I don't have to search much to find tools I need.
Cyera Delivers Strong Data Security Insights Across Process, Tech, and People
What do you like best about the product?
Cyera is providing a lot of good information for organization to improve its data security, in terms of process, technology and also people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cyera’s UI could be improved to enhance the overall user experience. More self-serve report generation would always be welcome, rather than having to rely on the Cyera team. The ability to customize issue statuses would also be a great option, instead of being limited to the standard Open, Closed, or In Progress. Last but not least, additional automation workflows would always be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps organizations manage storage locations—both cloud and on-prem—that contain sensitive information and may pose a risk of leakage or lead to non-compliance. Cyera report can help organizations to review its current practices, operation procedures, policies, and employee trainings for further data security adherence and improvement.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most of Cyera is the strong visibility it provides into sensitive data and do the classification. It helps us prioritize data risk, issues and take action appropriately.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some challenges include initial setup complexity specially in a hybrid environment with limitations access the on-prem systems. Reporting and customization could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cyera DSPM helps us solve the challenge of understanding where our sensitive data resides and how it's being accessed across our cloud platform. It gives us clear visibility into data risks and misconfigurations that were previously hard to track.
Accurate DLP Identification, Needs Better Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I like Cyera's accuracy with identifying the types of DLP stored, and I appreciate its wide reach in scanning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that its report generation function is limited to specific data sets and could be expanded upon for more flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cyera for identifying exposed DLP in our environment and addressing the storage of DLP in non-approved locations.
Cyera’s High Accuracy Makes Data Security Feel Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
High-Accuracy Data Discovery: The most common praise for Cyera is its ability to uncover “shadow data”—sensitive information (PII, PCI, secrets, etc.) that has drifted into unmanaged buckets or ended up in forgotten databases. In contrast, legacy tools (such as traditional DLPs) often depend on rigid regex patterns that can generate a large number of false positives. Cyera’s AI-native classification, by comparison, is described as significantly more accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over-reliance on AI accuracy is a concern for me. No AI is perfect, and even though Cyera claims high accuracy, it can still produce false positives and false negatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast Time-to-Value: Because it’s agentless, you can see the “risk score” within 24 hours of connecting your AWS/Azure/GCP accounts.
Identity Context: It doesn’t just say, “here is a file”; it adds the missing context, like “here is a file that John from Marketing can access even though he shouldn’t.”
Operational Efficiency: It cuts down the “noise” for the SOC team by prioritising the risks that actually matter.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Cyera's AI-powered features that help predict data risks. This is really useful because proactive actions are crucial in data security to prevent issues before they occur. Setting up Cyera was relatively easy, making the transition smooth for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customization freedom of Cyera is relatively limited. It would be great to allow customers to further customize the Cyera solutions to meet different purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cyera to secure data across environments and predict data risks using AI, allowing proactive actions in data security.
Rapidly Surfaces New Issues with Clear Remediation Steps
What do you like best about the product?
The speed in which it can surface new issues and return remediation steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The some times chaotic nature that bulk issues are identified and raised for remediation can be at time a challenge to tackle.

The speed in which issues are identified, returned to in a way that can be worked through and the remediation steps required to complete each of those issues raised.

What do you like best about the product?
Cyera provides strong DSPM capabilities that have given our organization clear visibility into sensitive data across cloud environments. For a mid-sized biotech company, the platform delivers immediate value by improving understanding of the data landscape and enabling more informed, timely decisions as the business scales. Deployment was straightforward, the interface is intuitive, and the insights are actionable at an executive level. Overall, Cyera has met our expectations and become an important part of our data management strategy.

While the UI is intuitive, fully leveraging all of the insights takes time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cyera solves the problem of having limited visibility into where sensitive data exists, giving leadership a clear, straightforward view of their data as the company grows.
Fast Setup, Efficient Security Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the installation of Cyera was very fast. The proof of concept we started was completed in just a few days, and we were able to see the data within three days and start working on it. Within one week, we were fully deployed and could access the information we wanted, allowing us to start resolving issues promptly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the hardest thing to understand is how to improve the system after the first integration and the creation of the rules. It's hard to understand the process of how to improve the system. First, we got an overwhelming amount of issues, and the start of the process of resolving those was very tedious and long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cyera makes it easier to locate information, permissions, and errors, helping manage security and compliance, including EU regulations. It's our main DLP system.
Effortless Data Management with Stellar Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the integration of datastores in Cyera. The datastore scanning and reporting structure are very well done. I spend most of my time on the Datastore section and Data in Cyera because it provides a complete inventory of all the datastores. The initial setup of Cyera was easy because it's a completely Cloud SaaS solution, and datastore integration was smooth. I'm also grateful for the support team who help us with queries and feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think including forensic data/actual data along with sample data would be helpful. Also, having a full-fledged DLP solution could make it a more comprehensive solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cyera for data discovery, classification, and labeling. It gives me visibility of sensitive data across the network.
