Must be launched manually
per their docs: "NOTE: At this time, this product instance must be launched using the "Launch with EC2 Console" option."
This flies in the face of everything devops. You can't automate it. I am forced to use this by our secops team. If it were up to me, this alone would be a showstopper.
Unfortunately, this review has been left by someone without an understanding of how to deploy the virtual scan appliances in code (i.e. Terraform). 1 star reviews should be used if a product is genuinely bad, and not purely due to a lack of understanding of the tools at their disposal.
Not an accurate review. I was able to deploy the scanner via terraform. What you would need to do first is subscribe to the product manually, take the product ID and off you go.
