What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Jaspersoft is its impressive flexibility and scalability. The platform allows organizations to embed robust reporting and analytics capabilities directly into their own applications, which makes it a strong fit for both small teams and large enterprises. I also value its open architecture and the wide range of customization options available, since they let users tailor reports closely to their specific requirements. In addition, Jaspersoft handles complex data sources well and delivers consistently reliable performance, which makes it a dependable solution for supporting data-driven decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I find challenging about Jaspersoft is the steep learning curve, especially for newcomers. Building complex reports can feel unintuitive at first, and the interface isn’t as user-friendly as some newer BI tools. In addition, performance can drop when working with very large datasets if reports aren’t properly optimized. Many advanced features also require a strong grasp of technical concepts such as SQL, Java, or server configuration, which can be tough for users without a technical background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jaspersoft solves the challenge of turning complex, scattered data into clear and actionable insights by providing flexible reporting and embedded analytics tools. It helps eliminate manual and time-consuming reporting processes, reduces dependence on IT teams, and makes data more accessible through interactive reports and dashboards. This benefits me by allowing faster access to accurate information, enabling me to create and customize reports independently, share insights easily with stakeholders, and make better, data-driven decisions more efficiently.

We use to cater to our customer and helping them build their reports, UI and how fast it is really impresses the customer

The support and escalation channels are quite confusing to navigate.

The reporting capabilities are seamlessly integrated into our end product, making it easier to access and utilize important data directly within the application.
Intuitive Reporting with Easy Exports, But Support and Scheduling Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Pixel perfect reports can be generated with ease, and how simple it is to schedule and export them in various formats. Jasper Studio is an intuitive platform to generate the reports and easily integrates with jasper server.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is not very knowledgeable and sometimes fails to provide adequate solutions. There is significant room for improvement in the way ad hocs and schedules function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jaspersoft is making progress in enhancing their security and architecture, which is beneficial for the overall infrastructure.

There are many options to configure the reports, and it is very customizable.
Also it provides a docker image ready to start running the server.

It does not support Databricks natively.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It generates most of BI reporting, and for many different customers/ parameter/ formats.
Practical, Cost-Effective Reporting Solution for Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
It strikes a very practical balance between power, flexibility, and cost, especially for organizations that need embedded or operational reporting rather than heavy BI overhead

The UI feels old compared to modern BI tools. Report and dashboard designers are not very intuitive for business users.

Easy Setup, Top-Notch Support
What do you like best about the product?
I find installing and configuring Jaspersoft quite easy, and their documentation is quite good. They are quite quick in resolving issues, which is really helpful when we have our weekly calls about any challenges we face. When we needed to customize a feature for single sign-on with Oracle Access Manager, Jaspersoft was able to quickly accommodate this need with a fast turnaround.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation for applying Jaspersoft patches needs to be a bit clearer. It doesn't tell you what you need to run when you are applying the patch on an existing installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jaspersoft helps convert Cognos reports, provides easy installation and configuration, and offers quick issue resolution with customization options.
