Password management for the entire family/team
What do you like best about the product?
I've been a 1Password user for many years. As a developer I have to remember far too many passwords to manage effectively and I need a secure way to do this. 1Password has fit the bill wonderfully. I'm a monthly paid user and love how I can manage my entire family either online or through the application. Having my passwords with me at all times has proven time and time again that without this solution... I'd be lost.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like that they changed to a monthly subscription rather than a paid application. However, after having this for about a year now. I prefer it. It makes sure that I always have the most up-to-date application and that there isn't a security risk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management. I'm the only one on the team that uses it and the benefits are that I've never forgotten or lost a password. I'm now the goto team member if anyone forgets their login information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you save the document they provide you for recovery upon setup. You'll need it many times over to access the account online.
Seamless way to track and maintain complex passwords for various sites
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to use when installing Chrome extension. It neatly stores all passwords in a secure 'vault' and provides the ability to go directly to a site, your login credentials already entered and ready to go. I relied on 1password, and when I left my company continued to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had it on all devices! It could be available for mobile, I have just not tried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1password provides significant time savings with complex passwords, especially within a secure environment. I no longer have to spend an additional 10 minutes trying to recall which email and password combo goes to which location. Also, when I do know the log in 1password saves me the time of typing and re-typing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great, easy to use across your organization. Highly recommend to businesses whose employees are required to maintani multiple online accounts.
The Best Password manager around!
What do you like best about the product?
The integration of 1Password into iOS is absolutely gorgeous. Being able to adjust on-the-fly what requirements I need to create a password is extremely helpful and makes having different passwords for every account an absolute breeze. Just by not having to remember these passwords makes it must have piece of software.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this particular point, the only thing I can think of is the change to a subscription price point. I have heard many people dislike this switch and it's also made it harder to justify with other services out there (albeit not as well developed).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using 1Password we are able to keep strong passwords and have different passwords for all out accounts and access sites. It helps to create a more secure working environment and eases the burden of increasing hackings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best password managers out on the market today. While the new subscription pricing may be a deterrent for someone looking to implement the software, it is a small price to pay for the added security that you get when fully utilizing this software. The ability to keep strong and complex passwords for every site that you sign up to separate is a big step in the right direction for security and safety of your clients. To not have to REMEMBER those passwords makes it just that much more special!
Streamlines Password Management
What do you like best about the product?
A big plus in my day-to-day, is that I no longer have to remember any of my passwords, or create a formula. Another huge plus is that all of my passwords are stored behind one master password—so I can make my passwords as difficult to guess as I want—with 1P's password generation feature, I can quickly create a password using all of the necessary guidelines for each stored login. I also can store vehicle ID info, and credit cards. I probably wouldn't be able to use the app if not for the mobile app, which I authenticate with my thumbprint. There's really not much to dislike. I keep telling my family they need to switch.
What do you dislike about the product?
1Password will sometimes will store what it thinks are credentials, from random form fields, which is a little annoying. You have to be careful about saving new passwords, when it asks you, because if you have to go back in and change it before you're ready, you can't use the app in the way it's intended. Depending on the signup process, if you have a temporary password, you'll have to make sure not to save it. If you change your password, you have to be careful and make sure you save the new one rather than allow it to create a new instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm cutting down on stress levels and time spent manually managing and remembering passwords. Using 1P is a lot safer, as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although 1Password is a huge step up from no password management system, you do have to make sure you do some manual management and the occasional info audit to make sure you don't save over the wrong credentials, or save multiples. Every now and then, I have to get on and delete old passwords and make sure everything is correct. A couple times, I've been situations where the info is wrong and I have to go through the password change process again. Sometimes I've stored the wrong password, or it grabbed the wrong field or URL. You just have to be cognizant of the fact that you still have to do a little work to match your process—however minimal it may be.
No need to remember your passwords anymore!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to generate and securely store as many tricky passwords as I need and be able to access them over a range of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit fiddly trying to read, rather than copy, your passwords.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved cybersecurity as we're now able to use long, complicated and different passwords for each site, without worrying about forgetting them or having a paper record.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended way to keep track of your passwords on all your devices (computer, laptop, phone, etc.).
Indispensable tool
What do you like best about the product?
1password is the second password management tool I've used. I started with Web Confidential about 15 years ago (i've been a longtime devotee of password management). I loved Web Confidential but with the advent of multiple devices it was hard to keep things synced - and that's when I jumped ship to 1password (I was an early adopter, as a Mac user). Over the years it has consistently improved and has always been very responsive to the needs/complaints/recommendations of us end users. Now I have it on my laptop and smartphone and use 1password.com to sync things. I use it to store all sorts of info beyond passwords: banking info. personal identity info, software licenses. If it has a login or password, 1password can help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have run into occasional glitches in syncing. Currently I use 1password.com which is fee-based ($2.99/month). It works pretty well. My current biggest issue is with the iPhone X and facial ID. It has a pretty uneven track record, in my experience. I have had to remove and reinstall the app a few times and also end up having to reenter the 1password.com password often. Not a deal breaker, but an annoyance. I had no trouble with Touch ID.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I provide website support and have a lot of ftp and app passwords to manage. 1password makes that all very simple. It has also helped in the creation of more secure passwords (the password generator is a great tool). Using their password audit I can easily update old/vulnerable passwords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have multiple sync options if you don't want to pay $2.99/month to 1password.com. You can also sync to Dropbox or iCloud. Super cool new feature: Travel Mode, which protects your data from unwanted searches (you need a 1password subscription for this).
Secure and easy way to store personal and professional passwords
What do you like best about the product?
I like having a personal vault and a shared vault for team logins.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not encountered any issues so far in my use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining product password organization; efficiency; security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that users store their master password somewhere secure. Some coworkers have run into challenges after updates or when attempting to access 1Password from another device without the master password. I've never experienced difficulty, but this would be the advice I could share.
Great product - everybody should be using it.
What do you like best about the product?
I didn't use to use any kind of password management system, and I just had basically the same password for everything. We all know that that is bad...
Now I use 1password for (almost) everything. It integrates seamlessly with my workflows. The chrome extension, iOS app, and Mac app are all fantastic.
I also love that it also holds my CCs and other important information.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. I guess the onboarding was a bit cumbersome, and I'm also terrified that I will lose my master password and be locked out of my account forever.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have _actually_ good and secure passwords now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you use it, there's a super handy feature that allows you to favourite some of the logins you use most often.
The best service in decades
