Can't imagine working without it!

  • March 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows you to maintain (and change and update at will) best security practices on a wide variety of logins without having to think about remembering any of it or manually matching changes on different devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrades sometimes cause a glitch in Safari in the disabling of 1Pmini that requires quitting and restarting the browser but otherwise few problems. Wish the sign-ins that work in a browser (such as for a banking site) ALWAYS worked in the app versions of those sites on mobile devices. Many, for example, do not accept FaceID on my iPhoneX
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No real business solutions beyond the business tools I also use in personal work. Biggest advantage has been training my 80 year old mother to use it to keep her online life more secure and easier. Has (mostly) eliminated the ratty and dangerous pad of paper next to her desk with ALL of her passwords on it!

Syncing sometimes not instant. Can't think of anything else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and secure use of passwords for our family.

Luckily, I have no fucking clue what my passwords are

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You don't need to think about passwords at all. I have 1Password on every device and and only need to memorize a single password to be able to login everywhere. On iOS it gets even better, since FaceID allows you to login to 1Password so fast, that it not even takes longer then typing a password by myself.
It also enables me to share passwords with my colleagues or family, so that my wife can use the same accounts as I do, without using an easy to remember password or taking notes on a post-it. It is also the best place to store all these customer numbers you get for every contract you sign. So every time you call a support hotline, the only thing you need is 1Password.
What do you dislike about the product?
They provide to many updates. It feels like I cannot start 1Password without getting an update notification. I would like to reduce the notifications to only once a month or only important security updates.
Additionally the matching of the browser extension does not always work perfectly. Especially for Credit Cards I often need to add fields manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a developer I need to log in to many systems of different customers and remembering all passwords is simply impossible. So 1Password enables me to actually work, instead of just searching passwords. The same goes with my colleagues, that I can share passwords with, without writing mails or notes for every single person.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it and get you colleagues or family to also use it. There is no better way to share passwords.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it much easier to have a separate password for each account.

What do you like best about the product?
You need to remember just one password. Never restore/forget the password to any site.
Work well with all type of devices PC/Mac/iPhone .....
What do you dislike about the product?
The application on Windows should be improved for providing the same user experience as on Mac.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I use this application not only for my private life, in my work the password change according to security policy every couple month. The 1Password solve me problem with remembering all connectivity details (IP/ Password / Domaine / URL).

Huge time savings and security improvement

What do you like best about the product?
1Password X - a chrome extension that makes it simple to have 100+ accounts with different passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the automatic password saving feature doesn't save quite right when I generate a new password, so I always have to make sure to copy them. Also, the Chrome auto-fill menu is always popping up in front of 1Password X.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing passwords across a team is a total breeze. This is SO much better than without 1Password.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it.

Trusted and proven tool

  • March 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used 1Password for almost a decade now. The company has always stood by the product and delivered timely updates that offer useful functionality. They've proven they can be trusted and that they have my security needs top-of-mind at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often change the default settings for the 1Password browser extension so that it doesn't auto-submit forms. I find this can be problematic. Moreover, as a Mac and iOS user, there is a bit of overlap with built-in functionality that can sometimes prove to be frustrating. But these are relatively minor complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can adopt more secure best practices in ways that don't frustrate non-technical colleagues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for team password management, this is probably the right tool. You may as well try it out first-hand.

My GoTo for passwords

What do you like best about the product?
I love the integration with browsers through the browser extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish the browser integration worked in iOS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have a workable unique password for every site I visit. It's only inconvenient if I click on sites in iOS have to go look up the password.

We've been using 1Password since it was just a baby

  • March 21, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password has a simple formula-based strong password creation, convenient autofills all of our MacOS and IOS passwords for third-party sites, tools to identify and change existing weak passwords (complexity, uniqueness, etc.), tools to identify compromised sites where password changes are needed, convenient 1-click forms fill for identities (our names, addresses, email, etc.) and for credit cards (numbers, expirations, codes), a very strong security model for protecting our private data (both technology and suggested workflows), and a first-class support team. As for the last feature, I have rarely had to use it, but on the occasions that I did, the 1-Password support was fast and effective. Now if I could only get them to train my cable company's support team the world would be a better place.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an early adopter of 1Password, I am still under the one-time application fee purchasing model. So I get minor updates for free, and pay for major ones. I have been resistant to the newer subscription model because I have been trying to reduce the number of subscriptions that I manage. But the 1Password subscription pricing seems very fair to me, particularly since they are so active in continuing to improve the product over the years. So I'll probably switch to subscription at some point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been online since the invention of the web and have about 1,200 passwords to manage at this point. We couldn't stay secure without 1Password.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1Password is a very capable, yet easy to use way to manage your passwords and a lot of other private information. It also leads to to better security workflows. The only category of user that may want to look for alternatives is someone who spends little time on the web, only has a few passwords, and wants to change from their pet's name to something more secure. 1Password would work great for that application, but the value probably wouldn't justify the price.

never want to be without it again

  • March 21, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, pre configured templates and the browser support and of course that it is available for all major platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The subscription model. Fortunately I have a "purchased" version. I would even pay for a yearly maintenance, but not for a subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One place to have all confidential data available.
