Good service but the extension often fails
What do you like best about the product?
One of the more know reliable password management systems
What do you dislike about the product?
The Chrome extension for 1password fails to connect often
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used 1password to manage passwords among a full team and its been easy to set up with new members and been a reliable service
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Useful for working across teams but which the Chrome extension was less buggy
Great for team password management
What do you like best about the product?
Separation of business/team passwords from individual passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
The popup authentication can be very helpful, but I don't like the "Would you like to save this 1Password multiple times."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team password sharing/management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Saves a lot of time, especially for dev teams with long crypto-passwords.
Best password manager I've found.
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple and sync across all my devices seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every so often I have to restart my browser or restart 1Password because it doesn't fill in passwords on Chrome, which is frustrating. It's still the best pw manager, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving passwords. Creating strong, secure passwords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great software. Highly recommend you use either for business or personal use.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
I love the security of this system, and that I do not have to memorize 100 different passwords
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most user-friendly interface in my opinion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to hold information for all our developer accounts and company accounts without having an issue of people resetting passwords etc.
Makes my life easier
What do you like best about the product?
I never have to think about passwords anymore - It's not invasive it only puts in the password to pages when I ask it to... it doesn't try to put it in for me. (I think that las past is too invasive that way)
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is limited to cut and paste and I cannot (or at least I don't know how to) share an encrypted password with another user. (I've seen this done in LastPass - but I still like 1Password much better)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saved time and frustration of never having to come up with a new password, and never having to remember any password.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you have multiple accounts for the same software, it's a no-brainer.
Fantastic multi device password management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to use 1Password across all of my devices - Mac, iPhone, and iPad, the fact that it works with Google Chrome and Safari, is easy to use, and works from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not found anything that I dislike, although I would love the option to be able to access passwords from a web interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to keep all of my passwords, credit card information, and other essential business information, including some client information, fully synced and secured and easy to access.
Powerful password management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to access and fill passwords. The combination of native app and browser extension makes it simple to find my logins with a keyboard shortcut or right-click. I also like that I can backup my passwords to third-party cloud storage, and keep them synced over multiple devices without having to trust 1password to store the data itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other password managers allow you to automatically fill logins, 1password doesn't seem to have this capability. The keyboard shortcut/right click isn't hard by any means, but I do appreciate the auto-fill feature in similar apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can keep my accounts secure by using unique, complex passwords without having to memorize them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare it to other password managers for sure. I use LastPass for personal passwords, which has its own flaws, but might be better than 1password for you.
1Password literally changed my life
What do you like best about the product?
1password changed my life. What I like the most is the fact that I don't have to suffer trying to remember passwords and logins anymore and beyond that, you feel that you have an extra protection on your accounts because you can use really complex passwords generated randomly by the apps. Before 1password I had the know by heart all my logins. Today I don't even have a clue what they are. They are all securely organized in my vaults.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not dislike anything. It is really a very useful product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a work environment sometimes we have to share logins with other peers. With 1password that's all made easy. Additionally, when you are responsible for systems that are specific to your department, you can control from 1password all the accesses you have distributed to the team.
On top of that, you can also use it to store sensitive data and documents if you want.
On top of that, you can also use it to store sensitive data and documents if you want.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It really makes life easier.
Flexible, easy to use solution
What do you like best about the product?
1password offers a variety of options to access all the passwords you use - you can log in via browser, the desktop app, or a browser plugin. Desktop app and logging in through the website work consistently well. The password generator is also nice, because it's a pain to come up with original passwords that meet various platforms' requirements so being able to punch in the requirements and get a password that works is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The browser plugin can be a little buggy after updating and will often require restarting my computer (not just the browser) to work. Also, sometimes when prompted to save a new login, it doesn't accurately capture the username, just the password. This is most common when signing up with websites that require the username and password to be entered on separate screens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to working with in multiple instances, we need a secure solution to store our own passwords as well as easily access shared login information. It saves the need to memorize multiple passwords, come up with original passwords, and spares those of us using shared logins from having to do multiple password resets. Also, since we use it as both individuals and as a team, having separate individual and shared vaults gives us the best of both worlds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works well on both Windows and Apple OS machines, so a good choice for a mixed-device office. While there isn't any Linux support, it's reported to work pretty well in WINE.
Excellent and Easy To Use Password Manage
What do you like best about the product?
1Password is very simple to setup and use. I can sign anyone up for it and add a few addons to their browser and their computer and they don't forget their passwords again. I use it daily and it is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how it requires me to login to access my passwords so often. I understand it's for security reasons but I wish I could adjust it to not require it on the same PC except daily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to manage passwords for a few users who often have trouble with passwords. Right now it is not deployed to everyone, but we are working on setting it up for people who want it on an invidiual basises. Some people don't really want it at the moment or won't trust it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is really a great software solution for password management if you want something in the cloud that is secure and trustworthy. They have been around for a while and their pricing is great.
