Excellent Password Management software

  • August 31, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the design of the software as well as the fact it has strong encryption, and they keep up with the fast-moving security sector.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the fact that they have moved to a subscription based model ONLY so I am not able to purchase a license anymore :-(
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use 1Password to store all my passwords
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend 1Password to anyone looking for a Password management solution.

Truly Best in Class for Teams

  • August 31, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent sharing & management controls combined with mature, feature-complete functionality have made 1Password the best tool by far for our secure information needs. Being able to easily add to & administer who has access to what information along with the ease of mind that if there is a leak online we will be promtly notified thanks to watchtower's integration with the haveibeenpwned.com database is unmatched by any other service.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's security argument might hold some ground, the fact that the web browser extention disables itself if it detects an unsigned browser has meant that we have been unable to take full advantage of 1Password's integration functionality. Many of our team members & volunteers use older hardware that simply doesn't have software support from any signed browsers. It is also seemingly not possible to sufficiently increase the maximum font size for members with eyesight issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team has been able to secure all our mission-critical documents, passwords & credit card information, all while also creating & maintaining an easy-to-use, central database to access it from. A revolution in security compared to the management nightmare it had been until now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider what other information besides just passwords to store in 1Password. We have moved and secured not only our passwords, but our 2factor authentication codes, business & finantial documents, credit card data & more to 1Password, which their service has handled spectacularly.

Secure, Easy to Use Tool

  • August 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The vaults feature allows for teams to simply manage data governance. It's great to be able to have everything in one program, and then partition off credentials and notes for your organization's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up 1Password can be a chore in comparison to other similar tools. For organizations who want to import their data from other sources, it's rather difficult to bring over that info. You're more or less starting from scratch, manually inputting all of your organization's data when you set up the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password allows us to easily manage the credentials for the myriad tools our agency uses. No more keeping spreadsheets and notes in unsecured locations. We can access credentials, payment methods, and notes across the whole organization in one secure place.

While the UI/UX can be clunky at times, it's generally a breeze to use for password management.

What do you like best about the product?
Autofill on websites (no keyboard shortcut required!) speeds up my day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The autofill on different devices (e.g. Android smartphones) can be a little unpredictable at times. Sometimes the UI on the desktop app is a little challenging to navigate, especially if you have different vaults.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure management of and generating passwords for hundreds of websites. Secure passwords keep my accounts safe while keeping them out of my head.

An essential part of your company’s toolkit

  • August 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It just works! It is that simple. It allows the employees to create and handle credentials with minimal impact on their work – while providing the company with a peace of mind, as risks of bad password management has now been removed.

Allowing users access to the information they need is easy and simple, and by having a structured approach to group management, including new employees to teams is extremely simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting starting from zero can be challenging. 1Password is great at what it does, but when a new employee starts, remembering all the new things can be tricky – and then, on top of getting a password for your workstation/mobile, the employee will also have to learn a lengthy master password. That takes time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Credential management, which is a crucial part of any business. Passwords and card information for the ton of external tools in play when working in a digital world. Keeping this information safe and updated is impossible without a tool like 1Password.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Change is hard for some, so keep educating all about 'why' this is important and HAS to be done.

1Password is a lifesaver!

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password not only makes it easy to securely share passwords with teammates, it helps keep everything in one place and makes onboarding new team members a breeze. The Google Chrome Extension makes it very easy to use. I used it at my previous organization and recently started at a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, so this is making everyone's lives easier and saving valuable time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding a new password using the Chrome extension can be difficult, and requires logging into the full site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password is solving the issue of sharing passwords via Slack and Google Docs, and also solving the issue of having to chase down certain people to get the passwords to various accounts.

What do you like best about the product?
Passwords and 2FA can be used in one app. Now I can use not only secured passwords but 2-factor authentication as well in the same application.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. I didn't find anything I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now company's passwords and personal in one spot. I don't need to use multiple applications for that.

Great password manager, beats competition in every aspect.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using 1Password day for the past 8 years. It evolved so much and now became a critical part of my toolbelt. I like how they integrate with every OS/browser imaginable. Their user experience is topnotch, passwords get synced in a jiffy between devices and they keyboard integration on iOS is a life saver.

1Password made me become more secured by making it easier to use to strong passowrds without the hassle of remembering them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much I dislike of the product. There are some small glitches here and there on the browser version where it asks to open the desktop app or stutters. Its a minor thing compared the greater good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Opting in for strong passwords on all my accounts.
Looking back at old passwords and changing reused ones.
Watchtower that gives a hint on which passwords might be compromised.
Multi-device support.

A missing feature : sometimes I have several old passwords for the same site and login, not
being able to detect which ones are no longer working or at least grouping them by which ones are
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The teams feature is removing password chaos

Collaboration without insecurity

  • August 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
People often perceive a tension between collaboration and security. This may be true with legacy tools—but with 1Password you can have your cake and eat it too.

We are a distributed organization of legal and technology journalists. Collaboration is tough in a field where multiple people need access to a single login for research databases, court document repositories, CMS, and so on. Our previous practice was to email each other Word documents containing credentials.

Now, with 1Password, we set up shared vaults, provision access to anyone who needs it with two clicks, and rest in the knowledge that our credentials are securely stored, yet accessible to precisely the right people. We can now even share credit cards securely, in case someone needs to make a purchase for the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using 1Password effectively requires a certain level of discipline across your team. This isn't a downside necessarily, but be aware—you will have to wean some folks off of using 8-character passwords saved in Outlook drafts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In short, we have improved the ease of collaboration within our team while simultaneously strengthening our security posture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure a healthy amount of user education before deployment.
