1Password good, but needs work
What do you like best about the product?
1Password works well in most of the environments I need (have not checked Linux yet), and the built-in multi-factor authenticator is very convenient, meaning I don't need another tool just to get that feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
On MacOS X, 1Password crashes much more often than should a piece of software that has been around this long. I always submit report, but have never had anyone contact me. It's a repeatable bug too. I just start to search for an item, and boom, crash. It happens a bit less often with the newest update (7.5), but still persists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password solves the problem of securely storing passwords and having them fairly easily available on all your Apple products. You can also skip the need for Google Authenticator, Authy, or other multi-factor authentication tool, because that is build in to 1P too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't mind software that crashes, even though it should not since it holds your most sensitive information, you're probably good to go. If they just even attempted to deal with the crashing, I'd give it 10/10 stars. Sadly, they seem to care more about their big customers (e.g., Apple).
Consistently great for 10+ years
What do you like best about the product?
This is a great app developed by great people at a great company. I could go on and on about all of the amazing features, but the thing that matters most to me is that from the product to communications to community outreach, the folks at Agile Bits consistently hit the mark. And even in the odd occasions where they don't, they are quick to own any shortcoming and correct it.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the 1Password7 update it isn't as easy to use the touchbar fingerprint reader to unlock 1Password on my Macbook Pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password makes it dead-simple to engage in strong security practices. I'm not a security expert but I know enough to take it seriously. 1Password lets me sleep well because it nudges me into better security in a way that makes sense and is easy to incorporate into my workflows. As an example, I recently started using non-text-message 2-factor authentication (because phone numbers, therefore texts, are spoofable) because 1Password's tool is so great. I'd tried before using Google Authenticator and it was to complex to incorporate into my everyday workflow. Even when I had a laptop stolen a few years ago, I had little worry about either the bad guys accessing my accounts or me not being able to.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really stands out.
Being a long time user of this software, I had to pay twice due to radical updates. I felt, once was enough.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, security is perfectly managed. You feel that anywhere you are on the web, 1Password is always ready to provide you with the needed support. Every day we step in front of tenths of locked doors while browsing the web, 1Password is the invisible key that opens them all with zero effort.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it. It will allow you to create complex passwords taking you away from the burden of remembering them all.

What do you like best about the product?
I can assuredly save all of my passwords, credit card details, software serial numbers and product codes or any other information I wish to save securely, with absolute confidence.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike about 1Password. It's one of the very first apps I install on all of my devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can generate a unique and secure password for every login I require. I only have to remember one password, my master password and thus my online life is secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend 1Password. As it's a cross-platform product, it's easy to have all of your passwords and other secure information stored in one place. It's always the first application I install on a new computer, iPad or iPhone. I rely on it multiple times every day. As an I.T. Consultant, I also recommend it to all of my clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Digital storing and exchange of passwords, records and credit card information is simple to continue with. The web app fits well with the iPhone and makes it as easy to handle multiple entries as the desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software for testing is very frustrating. I'm an initiator of the subscription / month program and didn't know how to introduce a new member to the family network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best thing is that you can log in to any account, and only one password remains. Mobile phones, laptops, desktops, etc. No reason to take the black book everywhere you go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like it after checking out a couple of password protection systems, as it meets all my quality criteria. This product seems to solve a lot of problems.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a fan of 1Password in my personal life since 1.0. Now I'm Founder and CEO of a 50 person open source medical device company. We rely on 1Password for keeping us secure and safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
1Password can be intimidating for non-technical folks. It's very full-featured, but that sometimes means there are many ways to do things, which can confuse some folks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use 1Passwords for passwords (duh). We use it for QA test accounts, for clinical study accounts, for server keys, and for safely storing critical financial information. Having cloud, desktop and mobile clients seamlessly in sync is key.

What do you like best about the product?
1Password has all the features you need to manage all my accounts securely, and when you add an account to 1Password my passwords are synchronized on all my devices and 1Password does not offer any monthly or annual fees, which is extremely useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I don't like about it, and I can be self-centric and stunned, but it seems to work these days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to apply better and safer practices so that our non-technical colleagues do not feel uncomfortable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't want to cope with those monthly licence fees, you can consider a one-off licence fee. The company provides you with an excellent customer service that is great and should guide you to the desireable direction of your choice. What problems can you solve?"

What do you like best about the product?
1Password has solved the "I Forgot My Password" problem as well as creating new, secure passwords via its password generator. Recently, I discovered it also has the ability to be used for MFA on websites/apps that require a code when the phone the MFA was registered on is not available. GREAT product!

What do you dislike about the product?
The Secret Key usually a one-time use tool is somewhat unwieldy. I've recommended that that document is saved somewhere secure because when setting up a new system, etc, its required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating secure vaults for sensitive information has been VERY helpful.

It's simple to use, secure, accessible everywhere, stores far more than just passwords in a great organized way and it is Canadian!

It's not the cheapest but it is still totally worth it.

1Password helps me generate secure truly random passwords, maintain personal and shared vaults for my family, and keeps all kinds of sensitive information stored in one central very secure location that I can access on any device.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be fooled by the other password managers out there. 1Password is the only company that truly takes your security seriously. If you are Canadian this is of added importance.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it works seamlessly between desktop and mobile.

There have been some issues trying to install the app on Android (specifically Google Pixel 3a)

One location for all passwords with random password generation (both memorable and non-memorable) to ensure passwords are not reused.

Do it! Such great software and provides peace of mind.
