Best-in-Class CFD Models in an Easy-to-Use Platform
Reviewed on Jun 25, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
SimScale has some of the best computational models for CFD analysis within the available software, and it is also easier to use than traditional CFD software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost, it is also just about the most expensive in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CFD analysis and verification of HVAC&R systems, airflow and thermal comfort assessments for clients to verify designs.

Fantastic Tailored Support: That Makes a Real Difference
Reviewed on Jun 19, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The support I’ve received has been fantastic. Since this is a complex process, even small issues can have a big impact, so having responsive help has made a real difference. It’s also been great that it’s cloud-based, which frees up resources and lets me log in from any of my computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI chatbot can cover the basics and provide intuitive information, but for more challenging processes, I still need some help from the experienced staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m working on redesigning an expensive part. Through simulation, I hope to eliminate bad ideas early, save money, and develop a better design for this product.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to learn, and supported by very helpful people within the SimScale organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like to be able to define small particles within a volume and have them transported by the flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me design machines that have water and air flowing through them.

Simple, Intuitive Workflow
Reviewed on Jun 11, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface; straightforward, intuitive workflow; interface to AWS solving simplifies one of the most complicated aspects for new simulation adopters.
What do you dislike about the product?
The simplicity removes some features that I would like to still have access to (e.g. imprint tolerance, meshing controls--though this may be an OpenFOAM limitation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale allows us to gain early insights for a cooling system design that would be very difficult or impossible to test for during the design phase.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, simpler but effective, lot of options, robust, accurate, awesome performance, best integrations modules, pricing is decent compare to other softwares, technical support engineer plate vitol role in ordert o understand software platform best, and Ai intelligence integaration is also helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
actually its quite perfect and finding disorderness in simscale is bit difficult till now i haven't got any problem regarding anything so there no reasons to dislike it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
actually we are start up organisation in project we come across mau uncertainties' regarding fluid, thermal, dynamic and static so instead on designing blind now we are using simscle to validate the design and makinf design validation process (DVP)

Empowers Fast, Easy Simulation for Product Development
Reviewed on Apr 20, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I use SimScale at my hydrogen production startup and appreciate how it simulates structural and fluid flow phenomena, guiding our design process and speeding up product development. SimScale's cloud computing capabilities allow us to run parallel simulations without needing expensive in-house computing. I like the user interface; it's easy to use and very powerful for a browser-based tool, making difficult physics simulations less intimidating. The consistent setup flow across different physics types and straightforward meshing, with a reliable automesher, save me a lot of time. I find it convenient to access SimScale on any device, including my phone, to check simulation statuses and rerun cases if needed. The initial setup was very easy, and the trial was sufficient to get up to speed. Overall, SimScale has been a valuable tool in our operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some results settings missing in the multipurpose solver that I would like to see such as field calculations or isovolume specific statistics. Also the CAD editor built in can be frustrating to use, specifically that selection groups cannot be edited and also that the CAD editing steps in the middle of the tree cannot be edited without deleting all subsequent steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SimScale to guide our design process with simulations, speeding up development. Cloud computing reduces costs, and the browser-based interface is user-friendly, allowing access from any device. Consistent simulation setup and efficient meshing save time.

Effective Tool with Room for UI Improvement
Reviewed on Apr 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the direct connection between SimScale and Onshape, which allows me to import models straight from Onshape into SimScale. It's much quicker and saves me from having to export a model from Onshape and then re-import it back into SimScale.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mesh analysis in SimScale is clunky and needs quite a lot of work to make it more slick and easier to use. The initial setup was fairly lengthy because I wasn't an expert in computational fluid dynamics or finite element analysis, and I needed a lot of interaction with the service team to get up and running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale helps me verify if the working pressure of items is accurate and ensures differential pressure is within expected ranges. Importing models from Onshape into SimScale is quicker and saves me from the tedious export and reimport process.

Streamlined Cloud Simulations That Do the Heavy Lifting
Reviewed on Apr 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud does the heavy lifting with the simulations, and a lot of work has clearly gone into streamlining the simulation workflows
What do you dislike about the product?
The CAD editor is a bit limited, and it is often faster to modify the geometry (ie splitting faces) in a CAD program and re-uploading it. Also some of the options are not always very obvious about what they do, but this is not too different from most Simulation tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast turnaround on complex mechanical design work and simulations

User-Friendly & Easy to Navigate Without CFD/FEA Expertise
Reviewed on Apr 15, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly interface allows me to jump back in and confidently set up new simulations after not using the platform for a while. It's easy to navigate without a comprehensive background in CFD or FEA.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of predefined reports/templates for sharing results. It is time consuming to pull screenshots at different angles and with different filters shown each time to put into a manually created PDF with manually entered results for dissemination.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale allows my team to validate concepts much earlier in our process and identify thermal issues from a CAD model and iterate well before thermal testing on the first prototype, leading to shorter test cycles and faster design pivots prior to tooling investments.

Clean UI, Powerful FEA/CFD, and Expert Support in One Platform

What do you like best about the product?
SimScale is the easiest to use simulation platform that I've used. I love that the user interface is clean and clear, and that you can do good quality defeaturing and meshing along with FEA and CFD all in one place. It accepts CAD in all formats I expect.
The FEA capability is very high now (great implicit solver) with the Non Linear Mechanical simulation type.
I also often use the chat feature to talk to SimScale's simulation experts who always give good advice and help get to the bottom of the problem at hand.

What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't yet have feature parity with some of the other big simulation tools, but I generally find that I can simulate what I want to in SimScale.
