Procore - Making Building Easy

What do you like best about the product?
The workflows are amazing. From submittals to RFI's Procore has you covered in managing, storing, and tracking all project-related data.
What do you dislike about the product?
None come to mind at this moment, the platform is well thought out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Havent had any problems with it, but the benefits are immeasurable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The sooner you start, the sooner your life gets a bit easier.

By far my favorite project management software!

What do you like best about the product?
I have previously worked in several similar programs at past places of employment. Procore is by far my favorite. It seems to be the most user-friendly. I love how everything can be linked together, making it easier to communicate information to call. The ability to link RFIs and change events to drawings, submittals, etc. helps keep our communication streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish there were more markup tools. I still use Bluebeam for most of my markup, as I feel it is easier to use than the Procore function. Additionally, I wish change events were able to be more editable. There are limitations in the program currently that I have to tweak in different ways, so I wish there were more options for creating different PDFs from change events. Third, I wish there was a function to mass print all RFIs AND their responses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore is definitely helping keep track of submittals and RFIs much better than I have ever seen before. The date stamps keeps everyone accountable on all ends, and the reminder emails to submit are helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend utilizing Procore from a general contractor standpoint.

Making the jump to digital/online software for consturction management

What do you like best about the product?
It's nice being able to have everything in one place for each project that can accessed both online and off. No worry about not being able to at least have basic use of the app if you don't have wireless access or internet in the field. It greatly helps with making sure things are documented and easily accessible from the office or field. No more worrying about hand written daily reports or making sure they all get turned in timely. It definitely cuts out some of the leg work with tracking RFI's and submittals too. Procore is the first construction app I have used. It was a bit of a learning curve at first, but it was easy to pick up on. The app is constantly being updated and tweaked to help make it as easy as possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is the lack of consistency between platforms. As an Android user, it can be difficult to try and explain to someone on IOS where to find something. The interface and layouts are different, buttons in different places, etc... It can be a bit frustrating at times when someone in the field needs something and they are a new user and you can't clearly steer them to where they need to be. There also lately seems to be bugs with drawings showing up in complete sets or even showing up at all, but those seem to have been worked out. I wish there was a way to be able to give clients access to certain features, but with tighter control on actions that they can make.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping keep submittals and RFI's on track and being able to know where they are at at virtually any stage of the game and who we need to lean on to get them returned. It's also cut back on additional time getting certain things to architects or clients for review. While samples of materials are still sent out, instead of waiting for the actual sample to arrive at their office or onsite, we can already send out the paperwork for initial reviews before the samples even show up. Its nice to be able to get push notifications for photos or an item that is now in my court of responsibility. It definitely helps from things getting lost in email inboxes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It may be a tough thing to initially adapt. Coming from having done everything the "old school" way that I was taught, pencils and papers and file folders and all that mess. This is a welcome breath of fresh air that cuts down on clutter and helps you keep things organized and easy to access on the go.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track and distribute information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the processes are cumbersome, and do not flow well. Especially the submittal builder and if you need to edit work flows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to track my processes and the ability to distribute information very quickly.

Watch the videos and ask for help if you need it.

Excellent Platform on the Market

What do you like best about the product?
Procore has many tools and allows us to centralize the information in one place, linking them together when they are related.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of shortcuts for some actions, which leads the user to do some repetitive tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly integrations problems, which brings the benefit of not having to update many different places/softwares fot the same action.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Procore is a awesome tool, it has its learning curve, but after you learn how to maximize the use of everything that it offers it really adds value to your project.

Procore has changed our business

What do you like best about the product?
Procores app means our communication between field and office is seamless. Our field is no longer waiting for answers. We can set deadlines and follow up with them in a timely manner, everyone can see communication and we can markup drawings quickly and more efficiently. Everybody is always in the loop and theres very little margin for confusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
The constant costs and additions of other tools. There are a lot of extra tools, and while it would be neat to have them all costs are a bit high.
it would be nice to have some of those features included in the basic bundles or have the ability to pick and choose features instead of having them all in a package. For example we like the change orders tool, but we don't have sage 100 so it is pointless for us to purchase the whole financial package. Same with the Field productivity tools, we don't need the time sheets tool, but we like the idea of the T&M tickets tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between field and office. Issues on site are deal with immediately. Drawings are available immediately.
We have the ability to set deadlines and follow up on those deadlines saving us time, and lost revenue. We can store everything on procore, so that when guys travel from site to site, all the information they need is at their fingertips. This has saved countless phone calls and questions about things that have already been answered.

Seriously consider it, it will change your business. It has saved us so much time.

What do you like best about the product?
procore unites the team, no matter where we are. We can all communicate and see the status of activites
What do you dislike about the product?
the initial set up is exhausting- who gets admin rights is the biggest struggle. Making sure sensitive info is only visible to certain members of the team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
by addingf multple trades to a punch item we are seeing less time wasted. The sequence is flowing better

Great Project Management Software that is Contractor, Architect, and Owner Friendly

What do you like best about the product?
It has an intuitive interface and has a broad range of features from document hosting to workflow processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Computer users are forced to use the browser site as the desktop app is very limited (unlike the robust iPad app). It would be great to use the app on the computer because it unlocks downloading for offline use. Offline downloads are very important on jobsites where the internet can be spotty or unavailable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving organization problems through their document storage and markup features. We are keeping our records clean and thorough through the many workflow features such as RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and punch-lists.

What do you like best about the product?
The record-keeping capabilities. Procore forces you into creating proper pathways and processes to track records and documents. Procore also gives you the ability to analyze projects in ways that were impossible before.

Construction projects have many moving parts and keeping track of all of them can be very difficult without proper workflows and set practices for recording directions and instructions. Procore's Project management tools give you ways to record every little thing that goes on during your project. By using this system I can now tell you exactly what was happening at any given time on a project including the reason it is being done and how much it cost.

Procore has also improved the quality and safety of job sites by making it easier to record and document and analyze health and safety issues for projects so that they do not reoccur and prevention strategies can be created.

The financial side of Procore gives you deep insights into where the money is being spent efficiently and creates better estimates for future projects. It also helps keep track of accounts payable and receivable by displaying overdue invoices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is very large and uses very formal processes that some smaller companies may not be using or may me be too small to justify using. Such large and detailed processes for keeping records and collecting data require a steep learning curve and the system takes a long time to tailor to your needs. Most items in Procore require you to change the company processes to suit Procore which isn't always a bad thing as the Procore processes will most likely be an improvement to yours though it takes a long time to adapt to them.

In summary, Procore will improve your processes and record-keeping but it requires a lot of time and dedication using the system properly, probably more time and dedication then you are currently putting towards processes

Change orders now have a record trail from the origin of the change right to the final payment processing. There is also a much greater insight into the efficiency of a project using the budget tool and the various tool workflows.

What do you like best about the product?
Procore is an extremely powerful tool. From financial management to documentation control and project management there are solutions for almost all facets of construction projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are almost too many options and settings in some areas, which can detract from the system at times. Some very basic things that need addressed to be more functional continue to be ignored. Update - At Procore's urging we have turned off unused fields and features and that has helped streamline things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore had allowed us to get control over job costing and document control. The collaboration with trade partners continues to increase as more and more subs are getting acclimated to the digital world. Update - We have now rolled out new SOPs and features such as Correspondence and Locations and it is improving our efficiency and document retention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Procore is an extremely powerful tool, that does come at a pretty hefty price. Evaluation of the software is very important.
