Great app
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using PLEO for a few months now and I think this is a really great app. How easy it is to use and for example setting custom review options and this can be set into groups makes my life alot easier. For our sites, we can set custom review thresholds. Another great point of this app is the customer service, being able to use a live chat to resolve any issues that I might have saves so much time in my day. We use PLEO across all 6 sites so we are often spending on these cards. Being able to review each expense and also split them down saves me extra time also. The way that it integrates with xero and how easy it is to export them makes it super simple to put the expenses on xero.
What do you dislike about the product?
One problem that I have run into with using PLEO is the inability to change the transation date. This causes some problems with xero say when we lock our period and we have outstanding expenses without receipts we dont export them. But when we come to export them we cant as the period is locked. A good thing would be able to edit transactions dates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solves the problem of having to have to use petty cash in all of our sites. Having one place to manage all of our 6 sites expenses makes my life as a finance assistant a lot easier. Also being able to limit what each site is spending and having management at all levels monitor expenses and review them depending on who is spending and what amounts. It saves time with integrating site expenses into the accounts in xero also saves the finance department a lot of time.

Good spending tool for a small company with some very useful new features
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly upload receipts and assign categories to expenses. The ease of setting up new users and ordering physical cards. The ability to create sub accounts for specific purposes and also the new budget feature which helps keep track of spending.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no approvals process for expenses. For example if an employee is making a high value purchase, his/her manager should be able to approve it. Currently they are just notified. It is very hard to flag transactions as fraudulent without getting in touch with the Pleo team via email. The entity setup process takes a long time.

Expenses are categorised based on spend activity and linked to the accounting system which saves a lot of time during month end.

Mobile app has a few limitations which force into the website, primarily for assigning expenses to projects.

The mobile app sometimes lags when loading historical expense data. The analytics dashboard could offer more customization to support different reporting needs. Customer support response times vary, occasionally leaving critical issues pending longer than expected.

It simplifies expense management by removing the bottleneck of manual reimbursement processes. It automates receipt capture and categorization, reducing human error and saving time. Spending limits and approvals are easy to set, which helps keep budgets in check and aligns with internal policies. This clarity benefits our finance team and boosts employee satisfaction by giving them autonomy and transparency.
User friendly and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
As expense software goes, it is easy to use both from a finance perspective but also a non financial individual. It is user friendly and the steps to record and to upload your receipts is straightforward. It simplifies the whole process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good to be able to import the Pleo transactions into our ERP system (Acumatica).

It is giving us a straightforward and easy to use platform for employees to spend money but also accurately record it for the finance team's analysis.

Great Service, Small Changes Needed
What do you like best about the product?
It's quick, easy and no hassle. The app is clean in its design
What do you dislike about the product?
Cards can take a very long time to arrive or sometimes didn't arrive and also there is a cash withdrawal limit that can effect operations when the supplier or provider we wish to pay doesn't except the contactless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its quick easy and can have multiple cards on an account to make sure we operate smoothly
Pleo is an easy system to learn that makes the day to day of our organisation more fluid.
What do you like best about the product?
It allows my colleagues to purchase what they need for work with less administrative burden on both of our parts, and the system for processing these expenses is very easy to understand. The analytics function is also helpful for our organisation to easily monitor how money is being spent with regular reports. The fraud team has also been very helpful where required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes wish there were more options with the filtering and sorting when viewing expenses. For example, being able to sort by cost could be helpful I think.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most new joiners at our organisation tell me that getting their expenses approved and reimbursed in their prior roles has been more of a hassle and administrative burden. This limits their ability to swiftly and fluidly complete their work or adds stress to work travel. Pleo greatly simplifies this process for both the end users and the administrators like myself.
