What do you like best about the product?
Fully-featured and supported product with room to incorporate test results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to learn as an administrator, but I arrived years after others set it up and missed the rationale with why it was structured as it is today.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large projects have one source of truth
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review the applicable training and website before you being to setup your first project.

Admin view
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. On the day-to-day use of users and also the 'new' upgrade system is far more easier to do than before. I hope our clients think about moving to cloud based setup and all the hassle of updates would be gone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the control is gone. On the other hand I like that I don't have to think everything on setup but on the other, I'd like to know for example are the network ports given in the manual only ones that are needed. It seems Docker setup has a lot of more listening ports than documented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently run admin on client setup. I like that our uses are finding the product easy to use and mostly intuitive from the start. After we setup rules and can now enforce them, there hasn't been any issue or escalated queries. Client is using Jama to run their massive testing and are expanding the requirements management slowly in the mix.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is good and easy to use. Reporting side could use a little tinkering but can be done with a little bit of expertise.

What do you dislike about the product?
some features which other tools have such as :
- Licensing can not be selected before user login into the system. for example, if a user is to review items, the user should be able to log in as a Collaborator for that specific login. or collaborators should be able to edit relationships but this is only possible for the creator
- tracking of a reported defect/issue is not visible to the person who has reported it.
- creating a new template/report is too complicated.

Saili Ghavat - Jama user review
What do you like best about the product?
The traceability that Jama offers and a good review platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many things going on in the user interface for a new user. Too many places to write comments and not consolidated in the end to find them in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting rid of the old word document ways of working. Have a much better review process for cross-team work. Revision of work is better maintained
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend the tool for Requirements management
Tool is user friendly and easy to manage
What do you like best about the product?
Direct relation on the same window between tree view and detailed view. Text editor is user friendly. Document import is easy t use
What do you dislike about the product?
Export template modelling is too complex, combined with poor supporting information to build our own template. Data export not always usefull without manual re-work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mainly the traceability between several items, and clustering of information in the same environement
A slightly more modern tool for requirement management
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very easy to access and being cloud-based, requires no setup.
Jama has very good in-tool editing features.
It has a very stable experience and I experienced almost no bugs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Jama is not very good at scaling for different types of systems.
The native data reporting tools are also fairly limited.
The interface can feel a bit overwhelming for new users, while at the same time many aspects feel unfinished.

With Jama we are:
- replacing traditional paperwork
- showing traceability between items
- enabling easy and trackable reuse of requirements
- managing tests
So far, we see a good improvement in transparency of who owns what in terms of Requirement Management and in fine-tuning the requirements process.

- Review functionality is good.
- Customer service is good. I think I have a very good sales rep.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Cloud version does not have the flexibility to stay at a certain version.
- Jama connect does not have the LDAPS functionality (Replicated has it, but Jama does not). Seems like that is a low priority for them. I am kind of disappointed since it is a security-related functionality.
- When I submit a support ticket, the first tire engineer always asks some template questions. Some of them are already entered at the ticket submission. I feel it is redundant.
- Test Run is not integrated well with test cases.
- Long time ago, I had a sales rep who was just trying to push a new service and kept asking questions about what he was interested in. He was not interested in what I needed. (Luckily, I no longer have him.)
