Resolute project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
JAMA Connect has an amazing feature to allow customized template to be used for reports and also has in-built report template for use for basic reporting. JAMA Connect allows to manage test cases folder wise and the review section is the most fascinating part of JAMA. Under review section it allows to select a set of reviewers as well as approver among reviewers. Review dashboard has a beautiful interface which allow us to view in cards with status of review sent for review. Review has public checkbox which allows all users under the same project to provide their suggestions and comments.
Review can be triggered either folder wise and even check boxes to select required ones. It allows multiple projects easily accessible.

What do you dislike about the product?
One thing which I dislike is in Google Chrome most of the time JAMA keeps flickering after saving any edited document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems using search filters was difficult. Unable to search folder wise. Need to log out and log into application whenever we see test execution status are not updated. Interestingly it reflects perfect in some account while other need to either refresh the page or logout of application. On creating test plan we have limited options in the default template which makes it difficult to add more values to it. Lastly we do not have status report for defect raised as to whether it is fixed/closed/open.

Search can be slow. If I search for a specific requirement, I want to me taken to it, not be shown a list of 100 unrelated requirements
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working for a medical device company, we need to use an FDA approved lifecycle management software. Jama isnt it, but we use it for the sheer convenience of tractability and to avoid the pain of emailing around documents
JAMA provides a collaboration tool which helps cross functional groups review efficiently

JAMA review capabilities and ability to generate traceability matrices

Branching and merging, this feature is limited for our single product line with multiple iterations.

Ability to capture reviews from cross-functional teams around the globe.

Get a good demo of the software and understand the problem you are trying to solve to determine if JAMA will meet your needs entirely.
Have been using Jama for more than 3 years and in general it is a good tool in team work

Working in team to write/run test cases is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
To edit the test cases is not very easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To link the specification with test cases is easy, generate test runs and follow tracking an executing of the test cases benefits our work as a team.
Great way to collaborate creating documentation for products
What do you like best about the product?
Jama has the ability to have several users create documentation for products and shows who made the edits and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jama isn't the most intuitive online software for collaboration. It lacks the ability to view the entire document unless you download it as a template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the issue of secure collaboration between several teams.
Collaborative engineering
What do you like best about the product?
Jama is fantastic for the collaboration between engineering domains. Requirements can be cascaded down and traced from all abstraction levels
What do you dislike about the product?
Often we import from word, however I can’t find a good way to do versioning from imports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning abstraction levels to the requirements can be inconsistent, as domains see thing through their lens. We’ve been implementing guidance and processes to train.

What do you like best about the product?
Jama is one of the crucial tools to sort things and shown to the executive level. it is easy to figure the mix of the options. I think it is very helpful for organization growth and time management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint about JAMA is in the initial days it was tough to figure out some things but as the time went by I started liking it and it is easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In JAMA we store detailed product plan of the vehicle and it is used to review the product plan by the executives in the organization.

I would highly recommend Jama to any product planning professional for better sorting of the things

Lots of embedded menus - can be tricky to find something

Providing transparency to team members on tasks and task organization. Workflow has improved/increase in efficiency and productivity.

I like the traceability of the requirements and how is easy to move from the requirements to the V&V reports and the correlated risk.
I like the graphical interface that facilitate navigation and usability and of course the easiness of collaboration between spread teams

Probably the not integration with Arena, our product lifecycle (PLM) and quality management (QMS) software

Mainly the full traceability of the requirements and the reduction of time needed for the changes

creating documentation out of jama can be a challenge when needing that in nice MS Office documents.
