Tanium Makes Endpoint Visibility Easy, Fast, and Flexible—with Great Support

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's usually very difficult to keep track of all endpoint activity on our company's network, and with Tanium it's so, so easy. THe interface is really user friendly, and the platform is really flexible with the integrations available, for example you can connect it with Copilot or ServiceNow without any sort of extra effort, and performance wise it takes less than half the time than how we did it before. Pricing is really great as well because it doesn't offer you just a membership type of service, but more a plugin scheme that adapts to your very specific needs. Another thing I give a lot of kudos to is the support and onboarding team behind everything because they truly make sure you are succesful using the platform, and give you a concierge level of care that other competitors do not.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I would say is an area of opportunity, but understandable due to how the system works, is that it tends to be a bit sluggish when you initiate things and are beginning your day. It does take a bit of learning as well to navigate interfaces but I still stand that it is simple to use because once everything clicks it is all really seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more manual review of our endpoints and a vast array of integrations so that true automation can be had when it comes to having our IT team have complete overview of the company's systems.

Real-Time Insights & Unified Control, But Steep Learning Curve

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Tanium serves as a single command center for our IT and security teams, allowing us to push patches, monitor, and maintain our devices effectively. I love how we can see everything on a single consolidated screen and fix issues right from that screen without needing to switch between multiple tools as we had to before. Tanium also provides real-time responses to queries like 'who has this file' or 'who is missing this patch,' which is a significant improvement over our previous system where similar queries would take days.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tanium is quite feature-rich, but it brings so much documentation and it's quite daunting for a new user to learn what feature is where. The learning curve is quite steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tanium serves as a single hub for device monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting. It consolidates tools into one screen, saving us time by providing real-time responses to queries, enhancing efficiency and efficacy.

Single Interface for Secure, Controlled Endpoint Management

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tanium provides a single interface to manage and monitor the endpoints in your environment. Pushing patches and updates out to endpoints in a controlled, and secure manner allows my users to focus on their roles and are their progress is not halted or slowed down to keep the infrastructure secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest downside is the gap between Cloud and air-gapped, on-prem instances of Tanium. If there was a more streamlined way to bridge this gap, it would make these enterprise environments as streamlined and current as those connected to the Internet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tanium is centralizing our patching and compliance into a single platform. We are able to see the status of any managed endpoints and know what they need and how to deploy it. We are just scratching the surfaced on what is possible, even in an air-gapped instance.

Consistent Workflows and GUI That Make Remediation Easy

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how the workflows and GUI are very similar across the modules, how much it does, and how you are able to find issues and within the same tool start a remediation workflow for many of the issues discovered.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the sales team would settle on a bundling approach and stick with it for more than a year. I also wish the TAMs were back; under the TAM system, Tanium provided the best support I’ve seen from any tech vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of having a disparity of tools that need to be looked into in order to find the data needed. Tanium is great at getting the data and presenting it to who ever needs and how they need it. Spreadsheets for the techs, charts for the c-suite. and once an issue is found a remediation workflow can be started all in the same tool. This solves so many issues within a single tool. An org can easily cut down on their tool stack by getting Tanium

Efficient Endpoint Management with Robust Patching and Automation Capabilities

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about Tanium is its strong patching capabilities, it makes it easy to keep systems compliant and up to date without a lot of manual effort. It’s also very fast and straightforward to deploy and update applications across the environment, which saves a lot of time.

Another big plus is the flexibility you get with Tanium packages. They give you almost endless possibilities for automation and custom solutions, so you can adapt it to fit your specific needs.

Overall, it’s a powerful and efficient platform for managing endpoints at scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my patching is done through the Tanium Automate module, which is still relatively new. While it’s a powerful addition, the UI could benefit from a refresh to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.

It would also be helpful to have the option to reuse the playbook name as the deployment name, as this would simplify workflows and make management more consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tanium makes it very easy to get a complete and real-time overview of all endpoints, including patch levels, installed applications, and overall compliance status. This visibility helps quickly identify gaps and take action without needing multiple tools or manual processes.

As a result, it improves efficiency, strengthens security, and makes it much easier to ensure that systems stay compliant across the environment.

User-Friendly Dashboard and Revolutionary Asset Discovery Integration

  • April 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Tanium platform is very user-friendly. The dashboard gives us an overview of assets. It allows us to see the problems more easily and prioritize them. The integration of our other platforms especially in the asset discovery process has been revolutionary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first set-up phase could take a lot of effort since it requires a lot of training. The reporting capabilities are not as advanced as that of our competitors and require more effort to learn the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Asset Management function has helped us tremendously in managing our IT assets. Before we had to rely on outdated asset data and deal with the security issues that would come with it. Now it has helped us to manage risks much faster and therefore reduce potential downtime. It helps us deliver reliable services to our clients, just as KPMG.

Efficient Yet Complex Tool for Remote Device Management

  • April 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how fast Tanium is. You can run a query and get results almost instantly across a lot of devices, which is super helpful when troubleshooting. I also appreciate that you can take action straight away from the same place, like pushing fixes or updates, which simplifies things a lot. The speed really makes a big difference for us, allowing us to quickly check all devices and identify issues, whether it's affecting one user or more, helping us narrow things down fast. The ability to take immediate action without switching tools—like pushing a fix, restarting a service, or even running a script—is very useful and makes troubleshooting much quicker and less frustrating, especially when dealing with multiple users at the same time. It also helps us with visibility and control, showing device status and enabling issue resolution without needing to go onsite.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing with Tanium is that it can be a bit complex at times, especially when you start using it. There's a lot of features, and it's not always obvious where to find certain things. The interface feels a bit cluttered, like there's too much going on, so it takes a bit longer to get used to. Reporting could be improved, like making it easier to generate simple reports without needing to build everything from scratch. Also, the dashboard could be more customizable so you can see the most important stuff at a glance. Right now it works, but you kind of need to dig around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tanium for visibility and control, quickly seeing device status, pushing updates, and troubleshooting remotely. It's fast, allows immediate actions, and saves time compared to older tools, especially for managing machines and ensuring they're up-to-date.

All-in-One Asset Management, Security, and Patching Made Easy

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
combines multiple functions—like asset management, security, and patching—into one system. That makes it easier to manage everything in one place instead of juggling a bunch of different tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's Can be complex. uses many modules (separate parts), and putting everything together can get complicated. Some people feel it’s “too much” just to do basic tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without tools like this, it can take hours to react to a cyberattack. Tanium speeds this up to seconds. It helps quickly find and fix devices that are missing updates (which are common security risks).

Effortless Endpoint Management and Integration

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Tanium was easy to manage and integrate. It was also straightforward to train new security analysts on how to use it. The initial setup was easy because we worked with the vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to understand all module and their difference to make it work as you need; it might be difficult to be the different and why to use each.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tanium helps me integrate endpoint patching with vulnerability protection and deployment.

Real-Time Security and Centralization

  • April 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Tanium for real-time endpoint security, which gives me reliable threat detection and incident response. I really like the real-time visibility across all endpoints. It centralizes multiple security and IT tasks in one platform. I find the live endpoint query feature particularly useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
For patching, I want update steps and a sandbox environment to test patches before deploying them. I also want to test exploits and patches more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tanium for real-time endpoint security, which gives me threat detection and incident response. It solves my lack of visibility and control across all endpoints and centralizes multiple security and IT tasks. The real-time visibility is especially valuable to me.
