HIgh potential presentation tool for end users.
What do you like best about the product?
Hoping to leverage Dosier, Library, and Collaboration. Currently developing underlying data model

High complexity with 9.4.8 for developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Store Operations reuires knowledge of financial performance and controls in place
It's a great BI tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fast data processing, great visualizations, and constant updates. Users seem to enjoy the online interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of documentation and open sources other than microstrategy website. Documents are very complex as a report type.

Sales conversions, staffing, field operations, turn times, retention

What do you like best about the product?
I"m a fairly new user, but I like the user interface is easy is easy to understand and use. I like that it plugs into some of our other data tools
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more traininig and we don't have any internal super users, so I have to hunt and peck for a lot of stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Putting together analytics packets for end users in the hospitality industry.

Ability to plug into other tools and more cloud based structures

The ability tell stories with my data thru visual charts and graphs and I think it is relatively easy to use, especially importing outside datasources..
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't some of the 'desktop'' user interfaces, it can be hard to find the tools you need.

I am getting data for a large gaming operation and giving business leaders the tools need to to make good decisions.

Single platform solution for enterprise scaling of deployment to entire organizations supporting knowledge management

Multiple releases per FY creates a backlog to work products through accreditation processes.

great product for business intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
Works across the specturm of user needs ... Web, Desktop, Mobile. The latest releases have been much more self-service enabled.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take a bit of architecting to setup for optimal performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Government budget and finances, dashboards for ease of sharing overview of data from the various City Departments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with all BI products ... make sure you know your data and what you want to do with it.
Powerful tool but visualizations are clunky
What do you like best about the product?
I led a team in requirements gathering for implementation of a series of 100+ dashboards in Microstrategy. The corporate team was great support and put us in touch with developers who were top of the line.
What do you dislike about the product?
My experience with the tool’s front end was that it couldn’t do more than it could do. Visualizations were required to be scaled back due to latency issues and while new capabilities were being added, it just didn’t feel as smooth as tableau.

We automated over 600 unique management reports into 65 dashboards to be used by business teams.

What do you like best about the product?
The MicroStrategy analytics platform supports multiple reporting styles and device types so that users can get their data as per the company needs.
I like the desktop version of it more. Its very easy to create metrics and use them in different reports. Multiple people can work together on a particular project.

What do you dislike about the product?
Get small bugs that really trouble sometimes. Also, the customer support is not very robust. There are forums but cannot find trusted answers to all the problem-related queries.
Architecture few is the slowest to make complete structure for data modelling. Working on FreeForm SQL is easy but that not the complete benefit of BI tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall experience was good. I used it for about 1 year while I was working for Business Analytics. Business decision and data for taking action. Working on Intelligent cube data/reports are faster and easy to use. Using reports for daily schedule , Alerting system to check on KPI.

Easy to setup , working on freeForm is easy . Intelligent cubes makes reports faster.
