Awesome for Reporting and Analysis

My customers can now do things in one software platform that used to require multiple spreadsheets and files to get simple answers

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to scale for large data sets. It also is very good for complex data sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t think there is much to dislike abou this technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to prepare and show customer management reports for senior managers in the organization

It’s a great tool with very good features for BI tools and reports.
System is very slow, always shutting down

System is very slow for my large corporation, do not think it can handle capacity

What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop feature makes it very easy to customize reports. With a little bit of tweaking, you can filter attributes to make the data show what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The metadata layer can sometimes be sluggish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization with grid-based data allow both straight data and graphs-based learners understand the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure that there is a strong knowledge behind the programming. Our current Admin has no access to the database from which all the data is pulled, nor does he understand the implications of data, or have any way to verify it. I did all the validation and continue to do so, and it is not an easy task, but if the admin had that knowledge he would be able to handle most questions.

What do you like best about the product?
Microstrategy is having simple user interface and easy to create multiple reports and Dashboards.
Multiple reports can run at the same time and good options to export out.

The user interface is simple but still needs improvement. Not a lot of shortcuts or edit options are easily visible unless you explore it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been running lot of queries to understand about different attributes and metrics. It is fairly fast for most of the reports and dashboards are quite helpful to identify trends and seasons.

Compare with Salesforce and Tableau.

What do you like best about the product?
I use MicroStrategy in many ways but I always try to maintain a different approach to gathering information from this system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the search engine could use a lot of tweaking as it doesn't deliver results as well as other tools and I always get the feeling that some data is not being captured or distributed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to use this for complicated projects vs spreadsheets etc. Analytics can get very tiresome if not managed properly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need business analytics in a proper form with many different ways of analyzing data then this is the solution. The team I was on really enjoyed using this tool and helped to make some significant improvements to the overall delivery.
