Great way to collect and analyze data
What do you like best about the product?
quick and easy reporting, lots of customization, easy to read and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
slight learning curve at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I log into Microstrategy every day to analyze reports, I can easily customize them so they fit my needs, it's a great way to stay organized and up to date on what is going on in my accounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need daily reporting of various account activity, this is a great platform. You can customize it so it fits your needs and it has a very clean dashboard.

I like that I can create a list of SKUs as a CSV and import them into micro
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is a big learning curve, the exports tend to work better in older excel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to determine SKU rationalization

It's a great tool for housing data

What do you like best about the product?
The dynamic report builder offers logical steps in creating different views of attributes and metric options used in reports. Sharing feature allows for standardized reports across all users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more dynamic output choices for creating customer (B2B) facing presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating actionable reports addressing KPIs and trends. Ability to track POS sales performance of existing and new product releases allows us to address any opportunities with value added services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider data architecture thoroughly before going into production, especially if using parallel to other data sources/providers.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to drill down to the lowest level to find specific information I'm looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the company does not have the add on feature that allows weekly reports to generate Sunday night and be in my inbox Monday morning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seasonality of merchandise. How can we better track sizing/color selling information to tailor our buys.
MicroStrategy is a great tool that I would recommend to anyone in the business spectrum.

Innovative, fast, and easy to fulfill analysis.

The dashboard is awesome for easy use. Super charting.

Processing of visualizations make it easy to understand the data that is presented.

Give it a try - nothing to venture means nothing to gain.
Vital asset for reporting
What do you like best about the product?
With the correct attributes, I am able to pull any information that I need to have a full report generated of sales, inventory, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Program requires quite a bit of training and practice to effectively utilize it to it's fullest potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to mainly solve inventory questions or find gross profit information compared to a previous time frame or current.
Useful for creating ad-hoc reports
What do you like best about the product?
Like the flexibility to create my own custom attributes and metrics as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it deletes my history and/or my shortcuts to folders, and I have to redo them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the results while tying them to different data warehouses.

I like that it is consistent with delivering data in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I have to go through so many selections before I can get to my report. I think there should be a saved report link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I utilize Microstrategy to run revenue accruals. It allows me to see exactly how the revenue has been recognized.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy and simple to use. It also compiles a lot of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes really slow to load in data and it freezes a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pulling in Gross/Net Revenue. Release dates of titles
Ease of use meets a shared collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
MicroStrategy is easy to use and best of all, remains consistent over multiple platforms. It is very easy to have my reps run the same reports on their own MicroStrategy pages and for us to share our reports through our MicroStrategy portals.
What do you dislike about the product?
While running reports, there are a several ways in which the filters could be altered in order to run more accurate and specific reports. It's a bit of a pain sometimes to only be able to do one month at a time under specific constraints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MicroStrategy allows our business to compare our sales and revenue trends throughout the months and seasons. It has allowed us to realize our company's trends and better plan for the amount of product we need to order as it varies greatly throughout the seasons. We have also been able to gauge the effectiveness of our large-scale promotional events.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that it is very a helpful tool and, while there are a couple of things that could be improved, overall it is extremely beneficial to be able to share reports with ease between our importers and distributors.
