Taking Video Observation to the Next Level
What do you like best about the product?
The convenience of entering comments along the timeline of the video. It facilitates feedback to student teachers in a new way. I'm unaware of any other interface like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be improved if there was a quantitative interface conveniently along side the text comments box in which the reviewer can select an aspect and a score.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One problem is location of the classroom and the pandemic. Some schools still don't want outsiders coming in. Go react makes it easy for teachers college teachers.
Great format to upload videos!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able to leave comments at specific times in a video.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only trouble I've encountered is the assigning of a date for a deadline.

I have done teacher observations through viewing the videos of the teachers I mentor through GoReact.
A user friendly medium for watching, reviewing, and observing videos for any business

I like that I can stop the video and immediately provide feedback to my intern.

There is nothing I dislike; it is a great program

I don't have any problems with GoReact. The benefits of locating each intern's video is easy and accessible.
User friendly and efficient
What do you like best about the product?
GoReact is very user-friendly. I like how you can upload videos in a variety of formats. GoReact allows me to communicate and share ideas with colleagues who I would not be able to otherwise due to distance. Go React makes it easy to communicate ideas and feedback to colleagues. Ithas helped me self-assess my teaching skills as I use it for student teaching observations. I appreciate being able to recieve real-time detailed feedback from observers and colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of using GoReact is I can only see the student view. Sometimes this can cause communication/ understanding gaps between the group owner and the group members. I have never had any technical issues with GoReact personally, but one of my administrators had difficultues when setting up a new group. From the group member perspective of the website, I was unable to support her in solving these issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoReact helps me share videos with people who would otherwise not be able to see them. I like the assessment features that give me real-time feedback in an organized and understandable way. GoReact is connecting educators all over the country. The feedback makes me a better edcator. I appreciate how user-friendly GoReact is. GoReact can be used in a variety of workplace settings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like using the youtube link upload feature. It makes it very easy to upload videos. I would recommend exploring the site before use to familiarize yourself with all the features.
GoReact for teacher prep
What do you like best about the product?
I like the feature that allows you to watch in real time while also adding comments and/or tags as well. I also like that it is very customizable and that you can set assignments to be viewed peer to peer (students) or private for the instructor to view only. There are a lot of other features as well but it is really great because it allows us to provide observation access to students who live in very remote communities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be difficult when students want to use bluetooth mics or things like that which they donʻt often know how to trouble shoot. Although we spend a great deal of time practicing and walking the students through this platform, there have been instances where things would come up in the moment that we did not know how to solve or we had to address after the observation and use a different video tool. But with any online tool, it is always good to have a backup in general.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are as mentioned before, the accessibility. Especially with the pandemic, we have not been able to view students in person like we have traditionally done. This platform allows us to still observe critically but safely from afar.

It was an excellent tool for having the ability to view videos and materials posted and provide detailed feedback for graduate program teaching observations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool was user-friendly but does provide some time to use all of the components with ease. Having a video tutorial of all of the components would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that it is really easy to use with a graduate program to support a new teacher. It helped me to be more productive in completing all of my work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for helping people in secondary education to be able to submit observations and materials.

I enjoy GoReact's time stamp comment feature that allows me to make a time-specific comment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am unsure if its my internet connection, but my recordings have started and stopped unexpectedly and that can be really frustrating! So I have resorted to recording on my computer first and uploading onto GoReact to be sure my content doesnt get cut.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Though it is painful to watch yourself perform/teach, its really helpful in being reflective and grow from my mistakes!
A great tool for language learners and educators
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, no need to install anything since it's web-based; various ways for teachers to provide feedback to students; teachers can pause students' recordings anywhere to provide feedback at that specific time point.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it's not for large classes because individual feedback is a lot of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am teaching Mandarin Chinese to non-native speakers. Pronunciation, esp. pronouncing tones correctly, is a huge problem for a lot of learners. GoReact enables me to help students with their tones wherever they need the most.
