Amazing Platform for ASL class
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can assign my students via GoReact, rather than asking them to create a video and submit through Google Drive. It would be a hassle for me to grade based on a rubric I created then put my grades in Canvas. It will become too much work for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their platform design how they created a rubric for me, and it becomes confusing at the beginning. They make it little harder because I will have to create my own rubric from scratch. For example, I need to type score 1-5 with explanations. I will need to type each, but the platform itself only allow me to go horizontal way, not vertical while typing. It consumes my time to create rubric. I already had my rubric set up so I choose points over rubric. I want to have my rubric conveniently rather than making one there. Besides, it would be nice if I can create rubric there without their standard rubric.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think I have one or two problems with GoReact. First problem is that once I created an assignment, the “green” mark on top right corner when you completed your grades and it’s ready for students to see their works. It is automatically there, but I just created an assignment and it doesn’t mean it’s ready. I want it turned off once I graded so it can be ready for students to look at their works. I had to do it manually. Second problem is that when I want to look at other students’ work, it wants me to put score before proceed. I figured out so I have to skip score every time I looked at other students’ work. What benefits I have realized is not really much. It is just a standard platform for teachers to use it to assign students to show their video assignments there. I don’t see any huge benefits for me or my students.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform is good for ASL teachers to use it, if you want to grade their assessment work. GoReact is a perfect for you to use. In addition, GoReact has a great benefit if you want to use Digital Learning Platform, you can use GoReact for your classes as well! Amazing!
Good way to evaluate individual students progress
What do you like best about the product?
GoReact has been a remote teaching godsend. It has allowed me to give more individual feedback to students signing. In person class I would give Fingerspelling quizzes and they would write the answer down. I now have them sign it back to me and that allows me to give them feedback that they normally would not get in class. It's not the most user friendly system but GoReact has a help-desk that is superb! Everyone that I have interacted with in that department has been super helpful and friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one complaint I have and it may be that I do not know how to do it (if there is a way to do it) is connect GoReact with our college website in which the grade transfer to D2L. Not a big deal but it would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ongoing "problem" is how best to utilize it in my class. I have used it more this semester for remote teaching than I have ever used it. I now have a "library" of videos that I can use for future classes. The other thing we do is have an experienced student come in and demonstrate how to set up and get going on GoReact. Works well. However, I am wanting that student to use my first assignment and how students how to answer in between my questions. Some will send me 10 videos to my 1. Again, the benefits by far is that it allows me to give very detailed one on one private feedback. It's very difficult to do this even in class, let alone remote teaching.

Totally recomnmend this system. Not only is it a well thought out and designed product but the help-desk is quick and there for you.

I enjoyed being able to give and receive feedback on my peers videos and my own.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little hard to navigate at first but once you learn it’s easy.

We are able to continue to communicate and learn through goreact without having to be in person.

We have been using this for student teaching and edTPA. The tagging is super helpful!

The tagging of evidence is so helpful to students.

The assignment set-up is a little clunky, but I love that I can duplicate an assignment.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use markers while assessing students' work is transformative. I'm able to pinpoint aspects of students' work and offer text or video comments for their growth and development. Not only does GoReact make traditional skills assessment a breeze, but their product features also allow for new and innovative activities that have never been available before. I wish we had GoReact when I was a student!
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any complex technology, there are sometimes "tech hiccups" that can be a barrier to using the features effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoReact has become invaluable in our current virtual learning environments. With GoReact, students are able to observe others' work, learn in a collaborative environment, and support each other on their educational path.

GoReact is my go-to tool for teaching ASL Interpreting. It has everything you need in one package. I couldn't recommend this company enough.
Useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use GoReact in my teaching clinical graduate students Cognitive Assessment. The tool has greatly saved me time in reviewing the hours long videos they submit. I appreciate the quick label buttons and automatic pausing of a video for comments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There does seem to be a limit in the size or length of a video that can be uploaded in GoReact, which has led our students to have to break their videos up and post each section (each video is 2.5 hours long total). The extra tech requirements to do that and time has been a bit challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Watching videos and making detailed notes is time consuming. This helps reduce the burden!

Technology that saves my time and encourages interaction aong students
What do you like best about the product?
Assignment loading is much easier than our traditional LMS, and the visual component is great

I would like more documentation--I'm a reader, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the need for live presentation time and more efficiently using my time. It benefits the students, too, because their opportunity to participate and comment is enhanced.

If you compare it to the other options, this is the only time-saver

I wish there was a way for students to pay once and use the platform for multiple courses in the same semester. Now they have to pay the fee for each course and that is pretty pricey

As an Interpreting Professor at NTID, I have used this GoReact for 5 years. Love it.
What do you like best about the product?
Since I am not a tech and computer savvy, with this GoReact, love this easy simple to use: interactive tools, features, grading, feedback, video self-assessment, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
To use alive mode GoReact for presentation, to my understanding is that there is limited to 9 participants out of 12 participants. it is not possible to record each presenter in live mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoReact helps with all recording instructions.
