Love this resource
What do you like best about the product?
I love that GoReact can be used both using the Wifi and recording and uploading later when my students are out in schools. I like that I can leave feedback for students without missing valuable information since it automatically pauses the video when I'm giving voice or written feedback. The customer service team is excellent and will respond quickly with any issues. I appreciate the transcript available and that the program can be used with other tech like lapel mic and Swivl. I like the options for assessment as well as the ability to give only specific peers access to videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cost of GoReact for as little as I use it. I teach a class where students only need to record 3 videos, so I wish there was a way to pay less for using less. However, the ASL department at this school uses this frequently and I know for them it is definitely worth the price. I also am pretty frustrated with the App. It is often much easier for my students to simply log in through the website and bypass the app completely. When I asked customer service last year about the price increase, they really didn't have a great response. I think maybe I just don't use all of the features that are available to use, so for me it is sometimes worth the extra hassle of using a different (free) platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problem of not being able to be everywhere at once! With GoReact, I feel like I'm not missing out even if I can't make it out to the schools to physically observe my students. This is also a cool platform for students to share their videos and give and get peer feedback without all the hassle of converting to a different link. One benefit is that this is just a reliable way for us to do field placements. I can't be everywhere at once, and knowing that this secure server can house our videos is nice.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you are designing your courses, make sure to include plenty of opportunity to use GoReact to make it worth the subscription fee. It is a power UDL tool if the course is designed strategically. I also recommend having students practice with you in class before sending them out to the field. There is nothing worse than thinking they are recording a lesson correctly and learning that it didn't record at all for some reason. They also need practice with how close to stand to their device for the sound to pick them up. You can tell students to inform cooperating teachers that the video images are being stored in a secure server.
Asynchronous interactive level of video feedback rivaled only by live interaction
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add text or multimedia comments at any specific time in the video is very easy to use for both students and teachers and the integration in our LMS Canvas is seamless and works with the notification and grade system which is a big plus. It really helps that the teacher can provide detailed feedback on student's language production for speaking that would be very difficult in a live class as well as the student being to review them afterwards and keep it as reference for improving their weaknesses
What do you dislike about the product?
The one main thing that I don't like is that the tool requires a camera to be able to record through the system (even if one can disable the webcam after). I think the minimum requirement should be a microphone as students may have privacy requirements or simply not have a webcam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For language learning in a fully online or blended/flipped classroom format, one of the hardest skills to teach is speaking and pronunciation. Without a tool like GoReact, students and teachers need to spend hours of live 1-1 or small group interaction to reach the required level of fluency and that can become very costly for the student or the teaching organization would lack the teaching resources. GoReact bridges the gap to reduce the amount of live interaction required and achieve the required level within the required timeframe
Ease/Convenience for Everybody
What do you like best about the product?
It allows for recording anywhere...it allows students to either record live or upload if their internet is iffy.
I really enjoy having my feedback (text or video) to be in sync with the original student videos. Great! I appreciate the flexibility of having students submit a video, respond to a video, or comment on themselves as they view their own performance. I like being able to attach pdfs to their particular video.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do appreciate that the recording is forced to wait until a connection is established with the server. But I hate how it tricks students or me into thinking that all is fine. Until you check it for playback and realize that the wifi signal wasn't stable enough for video. Now I am getting frozen, choppy, pixelated videos...and it is time consuming to contact students, explain how to fix the issue, and ask them to redo again for a grade. Sometimes, it compromise test fidelity/validity. Students were supposed to do their test cold. But since the video was choppy, one or two would have to redo their test. Now, it is not fair that their performance is slightly better than rest of class since this is no longer cold. But it is not GoReact's fault...
I actually don't like using GoReact within Canvas because from my end as teacher, it is not convenient to switch between courses and activities to grade. I prefer to use the GoReact website itself outside Canvas. But then it means I have to manually add in grades to Canvas. To me, it is worth the inconvenience.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For some reason, I seem to find the bugs somehow. Maybe because I am trying to stretch how I use GoReact. But I really appreciate GoReact's immediate responses to our issues and troubleshooting to kill the bugs quickly.
Outstanding benefit for the students
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to receive their video and be able to provide feedback at exact second in the video.
What do you dislike about the product?
They need to find a way to make it more centralized for all rubrics and assignments as some teachers teach at different universities and sometimes they use the same assignments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently no issues at this time. In the past issues, they always have been quick to respond and willingly to help out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before GoReact, I was taking approximately one hour and half to evaluate each student. Now after using GoReact, I can take approximately 20 minutes to evaluate each student - a real timesaver!
GoReact helps with ASL conversations and video feedbacks
What do you like best about the product?
Helpful: being able to see recorded conversations and give feedbacks. Rubrics are easy to access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Least helpful: change the design of the whole site - Gray is very boring and makes GoReact look outdated. It needs a modern look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is not free which poses a problem for my students who are in high school.
Easy and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that GoReact is super easy to use and navigate. I was able to find the sections that I needed quite easily as well as the tools. The invite users function was also helpful to send quick invites to people that I specifically want to view or be a part of that course. I am also able to manage the users and create assignments for them to complete. That really helped because it was customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The webpage is a bit simple. I'm not sure if I really dislike that or if it's just "if I had to pick something..." kind of deal. I would like for the site to have a bit more visual appealing aspects to it and be easier to upload larger videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can do my meetings with my distance trainees and share videos with them. It's made it convenient. I was able to connect with my trainees and work through some of their immediate needs that would normally be difficult to do if we did not have to product. We were able to share videos for critique instead of having to physically go to the site. It was much needed during this pandemic especially.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend trying this out with your higher education students or with corporate training. It seems to be appealing to adults and has a mature aspect to it.
specific reflection
What do you like best about the product?
Go React is easy to navigate. When looking at videos the color-coding made it easy to use when making and taking notes for a reflection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes. I do not see a downside
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoReact helped solved the problem how best to guide a reflection. Reflections on observations are easy to discuss because of the help.

EASY TO USE
Amazing Support
What do you like best about the product?
The support that our team has received from GoReact has made all the difference. They have been available for multiple trainings and consultations. The tool is incredibly useful and functional - we are just beginning to see all of the different ways to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike - seems to fit our needs beautifully, especially in these times of pandemic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our educator preparation program has had to adapt to school closures and e-learning. Supervision can now take place in multiple ways - tremendously helpful and efficient!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Most definitely worth it - efficient, useful and user-friendly! The responsive support we have received has made the experience outstanding.
Ease of use for all...
What do you like best about the product?
The GoReact platform has required very little upfront training for our faculty and students as we have implemented the platform for all of our student teaching experiences during the fall 2020 semester. The platform features just the right amount of tools, without being difficult to navigate. The initial feedback I am receiving from our faculty has been about ease of use, and the opportunities that are made available for quality coaching conversations.
Support from GoReact reps has been top notch. Whenever I reach out to my rep, I hear back within a very short time. Additionally, the GoReact team has been easily accessible by faculty who are seeking tech support. We have had multiple sessions that included a GoReact rep (Dustin), where faculty have had an opportunity to get introductory training on the platform.
The ability for GoReact assignment to be setup within Canvas is a significant benefit. Whenever possible, we want to reduce the number of web sites that our faculty and students are required to go to to complete setup or complete an assignment. The way that GoReact works within Canvas makes it appear to be part of the Canvas LMS.
The ability to watch a live lesson within GoReact, while also using the markers, timestaps, and commenting is a nice feature. This feature is not available to some of our students, due to bandwidth limitations at the school site.
Overall, video uploads have not been an issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is not a GoReact issue, but our students have had difficulty collecting and archiving video release forms from parents. I have suggested to the developers that there is a feature in the platform that facilitates the distribution, collecting, and archiving of video release forms that align to the videos that students are uploading. It would be amazing for students to have the ability to tag a file of release forms that align to the video they are uploading.
Building a rubric in the GoReact platform was a bit of a challenge. It would be great if there were some formatting tools built into the rubric maker.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a very large undergraduate and graduate teacher prep program. Our students are placed across multiple districts/schools. Faculty supervisors have spent a significant amount of time traveling between school sites to conduct observations/evaluations. GoReact allows our faculty supervisors to make better use of their time. They are able to spend more time providing coaching and feedback, and less time driving between school sites. We still plan to have faculty visit school sites, but their time is used actively supporting the unique student teaching model our program is developing.
When we began our pilot of GoReact, nobody knew we would be in a pandemic later in the semester. Having GoReact read to go, has been a significant win in continuing to provide quality coaching and supervision during this time.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Include faculty and students who will actually be using the platform in the piloting and decision making process.
Simple and convenient!
What do you like best about the product?
Very convenient to give feedback in ASL rather trying to translate them in English.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could do more features for live presentations - include more people and switch screens from PPT to signer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Issues were solved with GoReact's support. Benefits include providing feedback in the same language.
