What do you like best about the product?
The way you can follow changes on a document, so it makes easier to work with different people on the same document, with different options on the comments, so nothing is missed
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes editing gets a bit discouraging when it doesn´t provide exactly the look you wanted
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get rid of the training books, and our students are more engaged with the content.

Training programs would be completely different without Inkling

  • October 02, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
Similar to Mailchimp, Inkling allows for plug & play content with a very professional looking result, with minimal technical/design skills needed. It's so easy to use, quick to add copy, images, videos, quizzes and more. The content looks great on the mobile app as well as online, and is easy for users to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for adding users to various modules is pretty cumbersome. It requires upkeep of a giant spreadsheet and use of Cyberduck with every upload. I also wish companies could brand the app logo to avoid user confusion. Users have to look for the Inkling logo on their phones to find our brand's content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Inkling for training instructors. All instructors go through a live training as well, but we assign pre-training reading as well as assessments. This ensures that everyone is on the same page when they arrive at the live training. They also have the material to reference back to at any time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is really no other comparable app for managing and distributing content like Inkling does. They also really prioritize feedback and work it into future product updates.

Sr Coordinator of Change Enablement

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of meeting employees where they are with the information they need. The ability to leverage multiple formats of information to communicate the information and expectation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation hierarchy is limiting. The macro grouping of collections and then straight to a document I would like to see the ability to create dynamic hierarchies based on the business need in presenting the documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Labor savings has been the greatest monetary savings so far. Not having to require Team Members to leave the floor to gain the information they are seeking.

Inkling Review

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I do like the way the learners can input responses to the learning modules into the module itself and save it, so next time the details are still there and can be used as a reference.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way I can send reminders or push notifications to my trainees to make sure they are using the app and following the learning modules
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are allowing all my remote trainees the same access to learning and development modules that we can track and support their further learning
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has limited reporting capabilities and cannot send reminders or notifications to learners

Great Authoring and Delivery of Content

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Inkling has scaled well to our needs in a way that many other (much larger vendors) haven't. We often warn vendors about the seasonality of our training and just how much traffic will change, but Inkling has handled the whole process well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the only real dislike is keeping Habitat users and reviewers on a guest account instead of a SSO account. For reviewers who take training, and who are used to signing in via SSO, this can quickly become confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our content changes with tax law changes and updates to IRS guidance. In addition, we often target training during the tax season to meet specific needs. Inkling keeps us up-to-date with a single source of truth.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Access to mobile devices across your workforce (depending on the demographics of your associates) is probably one of the biggest considerations along with connectivity in the areas you serve.

What do you dislike about the product?

Making training available across many platforms

Complex and Robust, sometimes to it's own detriment.

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the software allows a lot of opportunities. This is great due to the varied customization options we'd like to build for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The code is a nightmare. To do any of the custom stuff it's mostly code based. Build out is painful and slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training is the business problem that we are attempting to solve with inkling. When we can get something finished it's great. However, it's slow and painful to build out.

Rapid Protyping like a Pro!

What do you like best about the product?
ease of use, speed of development, beautiful user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to download and save images from Inkling image library
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Numerous, quick deadlines
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switching to Inkling is an easy decision once you play around with it. Development for a training course can take weeks instead of months now. Training new hires to use it is really simple, and it takes about a week to become proficient.
